Dr. Berry saved my dog! He was becoming paralyzed with IVDD. We trusted him to do the surgery and my dog was able to walk the next day. He seems to be doing great after surgery so far

I have nothing but good things to say about this office. Dr. Eicke and his team has been the most compassionate, caring, and professional about my whole experience. My dog had a medial subluxation on her shoulder and wasn’t able to walk for months. After seeing many doctors Dr. Eicke was able to diagnose and address the situation from her first visit. I can’t thank you guys enough for giving my dog the gift to walk again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Brought my beloved frenchie here when he started having seizures. Dr. Barry in neurology was so nice, sincere, really knew his stuff and could tell he had a big heart. Unfortunately my baby passed away due to a brain tumor but I felt at peace that he spent his last moments with the staff at Blue Pearl. They handled everything with care and set up his cremation with a really great company. Highly recommend taking your pet here. The staff were great.

Absolutely rip-off artists. My aunt’s mini Golden Doodle swallowed a blood pressure pill, so she took her dog in just to get checked. 1. They didn’t let my aunt even come in during the consultation to witness the exam. 2. Instead of simp having the knowledge that blood pressure medication is OK for dogs (figured it out on google for 1 minute), they insisted to pump her stomach and charged her $300 for a “consultation”. 3. They charged $40 just for taking her blood pressure. THIS PLACE IS PATHETIC AND MONEY HUNGRY They claimed that they had to “research” the medication. Shouldn’t Vets already know something this simple???

Please be very careful I went here weeks ago and the customer service was horrible. They aren’t here for your fur baby and will definitely charge you way over price. If you can afford over 8 k for a simple procedure then be my guest. Also the consultation was a waste of money aswell because they told me nothing informative that I didn’t already know about my dog. Also when I dropped off my baby the lady made a comment about my puppy not being neutered when we aren’t there for that and kept making rude smart remarks. The vet didn’t give me no information of help what so ever. Also when I went to go discharge for my fur baby I noticed the women upfront was talking badly about my dog and myself and how I should have came in days ago and laughing with other random staff in the back she was clueless to know I was behind her. They are very unprofessional. Also they deleted my review before. This is more of just a business then an actual hospital for your baby. Be careful and ready your reviews because I didn’t and I regretted it.

My dog Miles had pulmonic stenosis and during the valve surgery experienced some complications. Blue Pearl and the cardiology team did everything possible to help our boy fight to stay alive. They kept in constant contact with me and offered genuine suggestions on what my next step should be. After Miles came home they called daily to check on him. When we came back to the hospital for our follow up today he was so excited to be back (even though he had faced a traumatizing experience there). It was clear staff had treated him so well that he didn't care he almost died and was looking forward to seeing them again. The cardiology team saved my dogs life and was a beacon of kindness to me through the whole scary process.

Traumatized by this place. We lost our dog in there. Poor client care and charged thousands, GOD knows why! Dr. never even bothered to come out and communicate with me about our dog, knowing I waited there for more than 4 hours. How do you sleep at nights knowing someone’s dog died on your shift? Zero empathy for a devastated person who is impatiently waiting. I refer you guys to GOD, and I know karma is real. My heart aches everyday..

It has been several years since they lied about what doctors they had on staff Thanksgiving weekend when my cat was dying of kidney issues, and they would not let me take my poor animal out of their prison to a reputable facility with actual specialists (DM me for my recommendation) even AFTER my local vet INSTRUCTED them to do so. They overbilled me. They billed me for specialists who were not actually qualified in the specific fields of veterinary medicine they claimed. They lied and said they'd refund the overcharges to my account. They wasted almost a week running up bills when it was obvious that they had no competence to help my cat. I fought with them and got my cat to an outstanding facility in Los Angeles, where they had specialists who had properly diagnosed my cat (complete with diagnostic proof) in less than 6 hours. NEVER TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS FACILITY. This is not my first time taking an animal here, but this facility has gotten worse and worse over the years. Now it's a factory and not a specialized hospital like they claim.

Blue Pearl Pet Hospital and Cardiologist Dr. Miller and Her entire team saved My Puppies life. I am forever grateful for every single person at Blue Pearl. Dr. Miller is highly recommended. My pup Miles Davis suffered from pulmonic stenosis and underwent surgery by Dr. Miller and Her Team. Miles experienced complications post surgery and she kept us well informed during the entire process while also texting us pictures and updates. She even called on her days off to check in on Miles when he finally came home after we took her recommendation to bring our puppy home. Her aftercare plan was very detailed and she continues to be one of the most important people in Mile’s life. Thank you to Dr. Miller, Her Team and everyone at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital.

Terrible experience....they gave to my dog a medication that almost killed him. He had a very bad epilettic seizure and barely can walk now... I pray God my dog will improve his health soon...

I give them 10 stars! I had a 1 year old Frenchie who was dying and no other vet could tell me what was going on with him. After one vet said he doesn’t look good he’s probably not gunna make it, and sent him home with a strong pain killer. I rushed him to BluePearl where they assessed him within minutes upon arrival and within 30 minutes they had a diagnosis and treatment. And yes vet bills start to add up fast, just like ours do! I’m definitely looking into getting pet insurance for times like these! I’m just very grateful there are doctors that actually put your well being of your animal first. Best care I’ve ever experienced!

Beware, they charge recheck fees for the post surgery follow up and they don't tell you about it.

In my opinion they deserve below zero, I would be more than happy to explain how they treated us, about their invoice over a dead animal and the way we were treated. Per other reviews at yelp I noticed this is their pattern of unethical business. I have evidences and photos for prove. They gave unnecessary treatment to a already dead pet without permission and now claiming for a thousand dollar bill! They refused to let me see my pet. They are unethical. They caused my pet suffering before her death just to add up and create a big bill for us. They harassed me and caused more suffering for my pet. I am thinking to resolve it legally. They should stop their unethical behavior and the way give treatment.

This was my 2nd visit at BluePearl Pet Hospital. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of emergency services for their pet. My dog Max, a poodle mix, injured his back early in the day, by 10pm he was in extreme pain. Because this time was during the 2020 Panademic, I wasn't able to go in with my pet. The staff/assistant made me feel very comfortable and confident that Max was going to receive excellent care. Max left me scared and nervous. He came back with a big smile, happy and wagging his tail. The assistant/staff said Max was such a good boy, and was one of the best patients that have had. Thank You BluePearl Pet Hospital & Staff for taking Excellent Care of Max ????????????.

I wish I could give this hospital lower than zero stars, WOORST place to have your pet treated. They have absolutely no interest in treating your pet. They will instill fear in you and try to get as much as they can in those weak moments. I have been fooled twice, the first time we went was for an ECG report as suggested by another vet. Blue Pearl takes our dog in for a check up but come back saying that the cardiologist isn't available that day and wanted us to reschedule for another day but we found another hospital who could perform an ECG the same day. As soon as we inform them that are taking her to another vet they come back telling us that cardiologist just walked in and they could do an ECG today. We waited outside, half an hour late we get a call from the vet saying that our dog will not make it if we don't leave her with them for atleast 3 days under there supervision beucase she is going into heart failure. We got d shocked beucase we didnt know her condition was that serious, we believed what she said and wanted to see our dog for the last time so while we are waiting we decided to take her home because we want to spend time with her if it was going to be her last hours or a few days but we were being pushed over and over again to admit her for three days and leave her under their supervision, we were constantly made to feel guilty that we are putting her life indanger if we take her so I questioned what are they going to do that we can't at home they said they " we would make sure that they give her meds on time and observe her for any signs of heart failure," we decided to take her back home with the meds and our dog is now perfectly fine and it's been about 8 months, so the reason why we went there in the first place was ECG... guess what ?? never got it, after sending them several messages for a month then finally went to the hospital for the report but were told that it was deleted by mistake but we never got refunded for it, we paid $1000 for that visit for ECG report, got charged but never received it. We still gave them the benefit of doubt until the second episode of the coyote attack happened, this time the number of lies we were told was just insane. We rushed the dog to an emergency on may 1st which is a Saturday they come out to take the dog and someone calls me not from the hospital but from another location that the wounds are 3-4 inches deep so the only option they have is to either perform surgery which they shouldn't even suggest due to her heart condition and would cost about $20000 or to euthanize her if we can't afford it and just like before we were told these stories because they want to make money off us but because you're in a vulnerable state you agree to it, before they would even get started they wanted me to pay $10000 which I agreed to, so we leave her at the hospital around 6:)) am and call them back to check at 9:00 am to enquire about the time of the surgery, they tell us they don't have a surgeon until Monday so the dog would be waiting for a surgeon for two days we decide to look elsewhere so we called a few clinics and hospital we found an angel vet who eventually saved my dog, they released her at 11:00 am in the same condition she came in so what possibly they could have done in those four hours but give her some meds to stabilize her they charged me close to $3000 for it. Even worse, the itemized bill says a total of $2370, and they refunded me $7100 out of $10000, What is the extra $600 for? I took her to this clinic in Mission Viejo where I was informed by the vet that there is NO NEED FOR surgery because her wounds aren't that deep and she should recover in a week. We took her home in 2 hours with meds, neck collar, laser treatment, and cleaned her wounds for $550. I was so grateful to God to have saved my dog and that we got to this place at the right time but shocked at the same time by the stories we were told just a few hours ago, all I can say is that the way this place is trying to make money is absolutely inhumane and ruthless.

I am so thankful for Blue Pearl Vet staff and Dr. Berry!! Our dog lost the use of her back legs and had to have emergency back surgery. They took us on as a new patient immediately and did the surgery the next day. They were communicative through the entire process and always available if I needed anything. Thanks to them our dog is able to walk again!!! I would highly recommend this place and am just so so so thankful for everything they did. P.S. Dr. Berry is the smartest most talented person I have ever met!!

Starting with my emergency visit with my Bullmastiff, back in March 2021 up until any follow up appointments I’ve had since, I’ve been extremely satisfied with the excellent quality of care I have received for my dog. Both the doctors and technicians are highly qualified, and extremely helpful at all visits. Doctors have provided me with full explanation and education on my Bullmastiff s’ health condition and future treatment. I highly recommend this facility and their staff. My added thanks to Dr. Carroll ( emergency) for initial diagnosis and saving his life, and to Dr. Tansey for her excellent continued care. My boy ‘Savage’ is doing great and will be celebrating his 7th birthday on July 12th. Again I highly recommend Bluepearl Pet hospital for any and all services, you might require for your beloved pets.

My dog was about to die, he was toxinated by some drug after midnight. He was in perfect condition and only 2 years old. They were about to charge me "couple thousands" as they said.... They don't care about the pet they just want to outrageously over charge you with misleading info. I was quoted $1500 starting price! Just to get him "stable", and the doctor said that's "just the beginning" it isn't "easy fix" I was shocked by the inhumanity of this place

Worst care ever! All they care about is profit, tests, and not caring for the pet patient or listening to the owner who has the complete patient history and knows exactly what needs to be treated. They disregarded his condition and sent him home without treating a major bacterial infection that has gone from his eye into his ear now causing severe dizziness. This review would be ten pages if I was to give every detail of what happened. Would never trust my pet in their care again. They rather send your pet home to die then give him the correct medications to fight the infection.

I unfortunately went to another VET Hospital before I contacted BluePearl. That was a mistake. I initially called a center in Tustin at 1:30 AM. Once I arrived, I was asked by a rude technician to pay upfront before the Vet even saw my Pomeranian who was gasping for air and lethargic. They wouldnt even allow the Vet to see my puppy until I signed the agreement to pay $750 eventhough I agreed to pay what was supposed to be a $95 consultation fee. They said treatment may cost a few thousand to treat her if she stayed overnight. Fearing for my dogs life, I was blessed to have found BluePearl Pet Hospital online. From the moment I called and came in their team was amazing. Unlike the other Animal Hospitals, they cared more about your emotional stress and your pet's health than upfront money. They immediately took in my Pomeranian named Kimchu and I completed the agreement while the Vet was seeing her. They were kind, kept me updated and let me know my dog was not in a life threatening situation and recommended I see my primary Vet in the morning. Their consultation price is very reasonable and I saved thousands if I had listened to the other facility. I went home relieved and immediately took her to my Vet who determined that she had bronchitis and provided antibiotics. THANK YOU Blue Pearl for your honesty, care and thoughtfullness. Anyone with a pet emergency needs to come here. I Highly Reccomend.

Very disappointed in this place!! After trying to contact the Dr. That was seeing my pet she didn't respond for days!! That led to her death. Also admitting she missed something on her liver and said she wasn't perfect. Very disturbing to me. Never will I go there again!!

I took my dog here for a neurological assessment. The vet gave me an estimate of $300 - $400 for 4 X-rays. The actual charge on the bill was $577 for 4 X-rays. I did not see the X-rays and was given no explanation for the disparity between the estimate and charge. The total bill was $803 for an assessment. I never received a written assessment or saw the X-rays with an assessment. My dog is a rescue dog and I’m a senior living on a fixed income. I feel I was taken advantage of and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Never had the chance to write my review, but back in summer of 2020 my Pup fell back and broke his leg trying to jump up something. I contacted BluePearl for help and it was an unbelievably reassuring and helpful experience. Immediate response and support, and walked me through everything from getting him there to taking care of him until surgery. The staff was kind and well informed and my pup is fully recovered and running around like nothing ever happened. I'm extremely appreciate of the staff and they have an incredibly knowledgeable team who has helped through any situation that's come up.

You will bring your dog here. Wait minimum of 3 hours for them to have the doctor look at your dog. Tell you that you need to make an appointment for a specialist and charge you $160 for a consult. Waste of time

Unfortunately, add us as another customer/patient that were to believe that BluePearl is the only specialty hospital open in OC and that everything is an emergency and procedures need to be done immediately. We took our pet in June for a neurological surgery because again, that's what they told us is the problem and A BIG bill and a surgery later, our dog still had the same issue 9 months after. They asked us to take him in when our dog couldn't even stand anymore and didn't mention a word about cost or what they would do. We dropped him off and similar to the surgery, the physician never came out to talk to us and we left home after they checked on him. They didn't mention a bill, costs or anything but when we got home we found out that we had a $470 bill that they charged us. For a check up? On a procedure you did??? As you can see, this is the standard procedure for this hospital now after they got bought out. Unfortunately, our dog had to have another procedure for the same problem and the bill was HALF the cost that it was at BluePearl and the treatments, follow-up and INTERACTION of the doctor was much more inline with what we paid. Please do yourself a favor, message me if you want to know the hospital name or please, do your research before you go to BluePearl. The experience is unlike any other and speaking to the manager after I received the bill confirmed our experience. Do not let them make you feel desperate with your little furry ones...trust us.

My dog came here immediately after being diagnosed with an ailment that required immediate surgery and they were able to operate on her the following day. Dr. Berry has been so kind, and called to give me daily updates on how my dog was doing. Although any emergency situation like this is very stressful, it’s nice to have peace of mind knowing my dog is in great hands.

This vet clinic is probably good if you have a million dollars or are willing to spend your life savings trying to help your beloved pet get well from some horrific ailment that requires specialists. If yor pet is just having a diagnosis or regular vet care or if your pet needs euthanasia - DON’T GO HERE!! - I took my dog there only because he was failing so fast at a time when my regular vet was closed. My number one horrible experience happened when I took my dying dog there for euthanasia to get him out of untreatable pain They put a catheter into his arm and brought him into the private room where I was waiting for him to be adminbsitered the killing med. so I could be with my dog in his last moments. The vet brought him, sedated, lying on a low cart with wheels. He fell off the cart because they didn’t lock the wheels or hold it still. As he lay dumped on the floor with the cart next to him, the vet commented, “I guess he wanted to be on the floor” and she proceeded to administer the kill-drug to him as he laid on the cold floor. It was so undignified for a sweet dog that deserved more respect. My second bad experience was that they charged more the TWICE what my local vet charged for the euthanasia I needed to provide for my 19 y.o. cat 6 months later. Though Blue Pearl knew the condition of my dog well, they said a “well check, consultation” was mandatory even though my dog had been to Blue Pearl many times for heart problem diagnosis and medications when my regular vet was closed, so they were familiar with his condition and advanced age. Then they charged me extra to be present with my dog when he was put to sleep!! Blue Pearl bill total = $410.00; Local (good) vet = $$204.00 (Good thing Blue Pearl didn’t charge extra for the floor space usage where they dumped my dog before the final injection.) This refers to the branch in Irvine, CA, but I’m assuming prices are the same in all locations.

The staff was very personable. I had to put my beautiful pitbull to sleep due to cancer. He was actively dieing. They treated him wonderfully...and his last day was without pain. They made sure we were both comfortable and able to spend time together. Thank you.

everyone has different experiences.. so reviews aren't really that great but here it goes haha this place is doing its job.. my dog was hispitalized 2 nights he had a bad allergic reaction to a bee sting.. I actually had no clue how to even tell them what hapened and we are still not sure what caused it. but they called at least 2times a day with updates his symptoms werent of a bee sting but for the information I gave them he was out and is now fully recovered.. he will be doing a blood test just to confirm his liver levels are normal and rule out any other concerns the doctor had, I will say I could of reviews less.. because I did call almost every our to check on him and the people answering the calls were very nice only one but I mean I called a lot to a emergency hospital so i understand .. plus only the doctor knows exactly what is going on.. with covid happening you have to wait outside ... it is pricey but ...you know... lol.. they have designating seating areas with numbers to find you easier.. and it's not as bad..
