Top Dog Barkery Huntington Beach, California

I visited Huntington Beach and went for a ealk with my boy, place and looks very decent, it's clean and very organized, they have grooming services, a self dog was and a very nice selection of dogs pastries, the variety of dog treats and dog accessories is good, I just think it's a little bit pricey for my taste. But what isn't pricey nowadays, anyway they have a great selection of cakes for your best friend.

I love bringing my fur baby Coco to Top Dog for babysitting & grooming. She loves all the employees (especially Pearla) & I know she is in the best care when I drop her off. The groomers are definitely 5 Star!!

Our nervous puppy always has the best time at Top Dog Barkery and comes out looking gorgeous! The new groomer is great and looking forward to seeing their new location when they move. The location should be even more convenient!

Great selection of treats, and assorted items for your pet. You could tell they are real dog/pet lovers. Everyone that works there super friendly. If you take your pet in they have little samplers for them to try.

Nice things, but ridiculously overpriced goods for pets. I'm giving it a 3 star review since the personnel were nice.

(Response to owners reply) Serious accusations, slander, defamation of character, releasing confidential client information on a public form. Your response is absolutly repulsive and uncalled for! Groomer shaved my entire golden doodle, nothing left of her face or tail... did not bother to call for owners opinion before making the decision to do away with everything. Very disappointing, she is completely unrecognizable. When my wife tried to call about our disappointment, she was later called back by a hostile and unempathethetic groomer. Some sort of understanding and apology would have gone a long way, yet there was nothing.Terrible customer service, this is not the way to treat customers/people/pets.

So excited about this place I drove from the high desert just to spoil my fur baby on his birthday..I did not have to preorder bone cookies that say happy birthday, they have some pre made and they look pretty fresh..I’ve read bad comments about the customer service but in my experience they treated me kindly

Disappointed in our experience. The owner was not friendly, was rude, seemed annoyed AND was not wearing a mask (her + another another worker with no masks). The owner had a “recall Newsom” sign at the register. As a customer, I value neutrality in a business when it comes to politics and I also value empathy when it comes to wearing masks. Our entire experience felt very insensitive. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

The shop is cute and they carry some nice products. Our experience there was horrible. Mainly due to the rude, abrasive nature of the owner. If you check Yelp and search for reviews with any complaints or low ratings you can see how Karen deals with unhappy customers. Her responses show her terrible customer service. Bad way to run a business.

Despite us and other customers wearing our masks, the lady behind the counter felt like she didn't need to wear one. Also, I guess because I wear a leather jacket, that automatically makes me a shoplifter. The ENTIRE time I was in the store with my dog and girlfriend, this lady was blatantly and rudely keeping an extremely close eye on every single move I made within the store. It felt very unwelcoming, we will not be coming back even though we make it a point to come here every single time we're in the area.

My pug likes the cupcake samples and they smelled so good! It’s my shin tzus birthday so we have their cupcakes a try and my dogs loved it! :D

This is an amazing and very colorful pet store, with a bakery section of doggie treats that looks like they are made from a French gourmet bakery. I was surprised with the level of detail, looks better than most human bakeries I have seen. Very cool pet store.

BEWARE! When you take your dogs for grooming you are putting your trust in someone to keep your pups safe, while in their care. Unfortunately for us, that did not work out here! We dropped our 2 dogs off for grooming and picked them up around 2 hours later. Only to learn that while in their care, another parent picked up their dog and while opening the gate for that dog to go home, our Frenchie saw an opportunity to run out. Not only did he run out of the store, through the busy parking lot of traffic, but also all the way across to the park and tried to make his way home. An amazing customer ran out of the store chasing after him and after waving down several cars to stop our dog from getting hit by a car, she was able to catch up to him and safely return him to the store. Did we get a phone call of the incident? No. We only learned of it when we picked him up and they made it sound as if it was his fault, not theirs. To top it off we still paid for his grooming. I INSIST there be a safety protocol of a minimum 2 gate system to protect your dog while in someone else's care. Although we live one block from this place, we will never trust that our pup will be safe in their care ever again. Big mistake. Thankfully our dog is okay and still here to remind us how important his safety truly is Thank you SO MUCH to the kind Samaritan for saving our doggie!!!

After 2 days at the beach, for his first time, our little Joey was in desperate need of a good grooming and de-sanding. Joey is a 4-month-old Golden Retriever and he came out looking like he was ready for his GQ photo shoot. Highly recommend.

They have a large selection of tasty treats! The employees instantly offered samples and were very kind. They have doggy clothes and essential. We purchased CBD treats for 4th of July since our babies get very anxious and can't relax. In store they also offer grooming and day care services that are totally convenient if you are out and need these services. $18 for 3 hours and buy 1 get 50% off second dog as advertised on website. The location was easy to get to but is near a small traffic intersection. Lots of free parking! Will be going back.

They have some very unique foods for dogs. Prices are a little high. I like their bakery section.

The time of my review is 7:50pm I'm standing in front of the door which I rush to before they closed to find the doors are already locked. I had every intention to buy a decent amount of treats for my two little guys but now I can't. Please stick to your hours moving forward.

Don’t show up late, you will be charge double. The Manager Karen, she was not polite and didn’t let me speak. The first time we miss the appointment I personally went to the store to apologize, the day before I found out I was pregnant and so happy I miss it, the second time we showed up a couple of minutes late and they were super open to book us again for Sunday with out saying they where going to be charges us double. My husband and I are not from here and he is just starting to learn English. So he got charge double and matter worst when I called to clarify the situation the Manager Karen was not polite and very rude to us. We live across the street and we are a young professionals couple that where moved to this country for our work.... we never had any issues in the past 5 month we’ve been here , this is the first one. In other reviews some folks calls it discrimination, Im not sure if we where discriminated for being Chilean or plain rude. Sorry to say but TOP Dog lost a client with us. Btw: we where advice by a couple of neighbors not to take him to Top dog, very expensive and owner was terribly rude.... we should had listen. We will try with Dirty Dog Wash instead.... heard great comment about them!

My favorite dog store in Huntington Beach.

Place is a joke. No they do nothing for the local community besides hike up the prices on everything inside their store !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horrible buisness owner that does nothing for the local community besides rip it off and act like they are doing something positive. Dont Shop at this Place !

If my dog illy could describe her version of heaven, she'd describe Top Dog! She gets so much love when she's at their day care and she gets freshly baked treats. When I go to pick !her up she doesn't even want to leave. We both adore the staff there, they are dog lovers and so friendly!

Best place around. I bring my little chihuahua Charlie. He loves the treats, gets his teeth cleaned and nail trim too, they do a great Job. The have the coolest doggie day care I have ever seen.
