We came fir the first time and the e staff and doctors could not have been sweeter or more professional. I felt completely comfortable and at ease with Lilly’s care.

I’ve been a client of Hamilton animal hospital for years and over the years I’ve had eight different animals and consistently range from 4 to 6 animals alive going to them on the regular. I spent a lot of money there. My dog had an emergency with a laceration on her tail. I called them at 5 o’clock and they close at seven and said I have an emergency they said if you can make it in 20 minutes they would help me. Turns out there was a problem because it was an emergency so I didn’t know somebody had the car so I was gonna be there in an hour instead of 20 minutes. They said no don’t come go to an emergency hospital instead because we close at seven. Mind you they close in 1 1/2. They still had a vet that was gonna be there till seven. So I went to VCA who had a six hour wait before they could see the dog. So I called Hamilton back with the office still open for an hour and explain the situation. They said they couldn’t see her again because that it was gonna take too much time and Vet had two clients ahead of me. I reminded them that it was an emergency and that I was a long time client with a lot of animals and I was really unhappy with them sending me away especially after I said VCA was gonna take so long. The response was it was gonna take too much time to care for one of their long time clients so gave me the name of another emergency vet and hung up. Mind you I had just spent $800 a couple of weeks early and spent in excess of $10,000 in the last couple of years. In the past I had been willing to overlook the difficulty getting thru on the phone and excessive waiting times to see the vet even when I gave an appointment because I liked Dr Greenwood. However the lack of caring, costly services and poor management has me angry and now I’ll be leaving to find a better run hospital. Which as we all know is difficult because the have your pets history and I have four animals.

It has been such a struggle finding a good veterinarian clinic for me until I found Hamilton Animal Hospital. If you are looking for a vet who cares, who understands and who actually takes the time to listen to you and your pet’s needs then this is the place for you! Dr. Alkofer and his assistant Hector have been amazing along with their entire staff! We have been customers for over a year now and whenever my dog has been seen for ear infections or any other visit that required medical care, Dr. Alfoker always follows up with a phone call to ask how my dog is doing. Its nice to know the actual doctor calls to check on how my dog is doing which I have never had before. Did I mention they also do boarding and grooming services?!?! Hector has always taken good care of my dog and I am so glad to have found this place definitely recommend.

100% the best vet in Orange County. I’ve taken all my pets here for over 8 years and could write a 5-Star for every experience, highly recommended! And I’m very particular about good care and customer service. Today I brought my dog in and Dr. Alkofer spent a lot of time detailing what the game plan was. Due to the pandemic, I stayed in my vehicle and they came out to walk my dog in, then after the evaluation Dr. Alkofer called me and was awesome. Answered all of my questions and was extremely professional with great bedside manner. I wouldn’t trust any other animal hospital with my pets! Thank you to the entire team, Beth included!

I recently started bringing my little Maltese mix to them for care, and so far I've loved the attention and friendliness we've received, as well as the great communication from both the front office as well as the vet and tech staff. No upselling, just facts and helpful suggestions for my senior dog.

I have used Hamiton Animal Hospital for the past three years and everyone from the staff to the vets are very knowledgeable. I really like the fact that they are open seven days a week! They are a very busy practice, but that means they are very good. Dr. Love is very understanding and really cares about his patients and their owners.

I am disappointed to say we will not return to Dr. Landesfeind’s practice at Hamilton Pet Hospital. After a few visits and an attempt at a non-anesthetic dental cleaning it was clear my rescue greyhound needed a cleaning and extraction under sedation. This is our 4th greyhound and have been through extractions before as they have notoriously bad teeth. I felt I understood the costs involved and unfortunately did not ask for an estimate, nor was one offered to me. Long story short - it was an $800+ bill... almost double what I have paid previously. I am still in sticker shock. At our post cleaning check up I let Dr. Landesfeind know I was unhappy with the cost and not receiving an estimate. She said she “normally likes to give one”. No apology and no substantiation of the high cost. I do not have any complaint with my dog’s care, however, I am on the hunt for a more affordable vet with better communication.

I've been bringing my animals here for around 20 years. I've seen 3 different vets at Hamilton Animal Hospital and been happy with all of them. I've moved away and tried a few other vets but was unsatisfied. I now drive 20 minutes with howling cats in the car because they're so great.

We had to put our 17 year old dog to sleep which was extremely difficult for our family. The people at Hamilton Animal Hospital were very kind and understanding to us and most importantly, they were very gentle and sweet in how they handled our little pal. While it was a hard day for us, we felt very comfortable with Hamilton and will definitely bring our future pets there.

My first negative review of any business! When my puppy was 8 weeks old, I called to set an appointment for a check up/shots, etc. Then the next Monday morning, right when they opened, I called in because he obviously had a severe ear infection - bad odor, crying when he scratched it, etc. I was told they would try to fit me in by FRIDAY. So I said no, that won't work, this seems really severe, can you recommend another vet for this issue - "sure, we'll call you back if an appointment opens and with a referral if not". I found another vet. They called that afternoon saying if I could be there within 30 minutes they would see him. I was at work and had already found another vet that would see him after I was off work. Not the biggest deal but showed they weren't staffed enough for their clients. Then, since my vet didn't do boarding, I took my dog there for boarding for one week while we were on vacation. When I returned, they told me that another dog had bitten him in the nose. I had specifically asked if he was going to be in a pen by himself - they said yes. The first employee told me my dog got very curious and that was why the dog bit him. Then the actual vet spoke with me and said it was a new employee who was walking him down the main aisle and let him go up to the other cages and one of the dogs just bit him in the nose leaving his black nose half red and pink and oozing. She said "we try to not let this sort of thing happen but......" (What! This isn't the dog beach - your only job is to make sure my dog is safe and cared for while I'm away!) No apology, just oh well - it doesn't look infected. And she said the pigment would not come back likely. I've attached photos of in the car on the way home. Even in puppy class you are told to keep your dog 3 feet away from other dogs at all times. I have had so many people ask me "ooooh what happened to his nose, is it contagious". Additionally I have NEVER called there and not been put on hold for a lengthy wait. When I was picking up my dog, I could see that the employees can literally never talk on the phone to someone calling in because they always have someone in the office in person. That a business would not have enough staff to ANSWER THE PHONE shows that they think their time is more important than their clients. The employees are very nice and kind but can't help it if 2 lines are ringing and there is a person in the lobby. Poor management and utter lack of training for the person handling my dog. Also, I asked if it was okay to feed him 3 times a day as we do at home (3 month old puppy). I was told no problem... but they did not do it. Basic business 101 - have enough staff to handle your clients and keep the dogs you are caring for safe - and if you mess up, apologize!!! UGH!!!! All done now - thanks for listening

Just moved and registered my dogs on the advice of a colleague who brings his older dog here. The receptionist was so kind, and it seems like a great fit for us.
