what a beautiful message Monika and Mercedes are giving. The grounds here are so beautiful and after taking a tour of the property with them you can feel how cared for these animals really are. Thank you again for sharing!

Thank you Monika & Mercedes for the wonderful visit we had this week! Our boys looked so happy and content and it made my heart full to see they were bonding with the others! We loved seeing the awesome grounds with all the wild ducks, turkeys, and other creatures, all welcome at the Sanctuary. The catery is beautiful with so much enrichment for the kitties! Can't wait to see the catio when it's completed! The amount of love and effort that has gone into making a dream forever home for all the animals is is obvious! Bless you Angels and we can't wait to come visit again!

January 13, 2021 I had the pleasure of touring the whole property of Villa Chardonnay. I was able to observed each and every animal on the property. The owners/custodians Mercedes and Monika were a delight to be around and hospitable. All equine were in good physical health, had more then enough room to thrive in, a vast amount of feed, protection from the elements and all were well mannered. Their pig was well taken care of by having its own isolated area that was clean, had full protection from the elements and raised off the ground. Plenty of feed was present and the pig seem comfy in its living quarters. The goats seemed friendly and lively in there gated area. The living area provided protection from the elements and looked to receive frequent cleaning. All goats looked to be in good physical health. The dogs on the property all receive their own living areas on the property. All dogs looked to be in good physical health, friendly and well mannered. Dogs outside had a lovely shed to house four grown adults and the dogs inside have the pleasure of a more than large enough living quarters. The felines on the property are housed in a extremely large living area with feed, water and enrichment for each feline times three. The large area was clean, peaceful, inviting and even had a cat-tio.... yes I said a cat patio that allows the cats to enjoy the outside without be bothered by the flies, wildlife and to enjoy sun bathing. Overall this equine and animal sanctuary is an great example of how to care, love and show respect for animals. Thank you to all the caretakers of the sanctuary for all their care and work that is done. Sincerely, Melvin Sparks III City of Norco Animal Control Services Superintendent

I have been many places in life, however, this location, the wonderful ladies that run this facility, the beautiful animals at play and the over all feeling over happiness in the air makes this my favorite place I have ever been. Thank you for your hospitality.

I visited this sanctuary last month. I was so impressed not only with the owners endearing care for these animals, but their professionalism and welcoming warm hospitality was just as special. The ranch property was clean, well maintained, and the horses and all animals looked care for and happy. I would highly recommend this sanctuary for anyone looking for that special setting and care you would want for your horse. It was a wonderful top notch experience!

Been out to Villa Chardonnay four times, and looking forward to going out again. We enjoyed visiting with the cats and dogs. We hope to visit with some of the other animals next time we go out. We enjoy talking with Monika and Mercedes. They both are doing a Wonderful job with all these Wonderful animals. We made a screen door for the cats, which a couple of them wanted to help put up. We hope to do more to help out.

It was such a wonderful place and it was amazing to see the animals that they saved. I was so pleased that they were saving animals from being put down and taking such extravagant great care of them. Why I even saw one horse brought in from the East Coast and two others that were brought in from Texas and to think they could have been put down so easily. I was blown away by the love and dedication to these animals. And not just the horses but their dogs and cats and turkeys and goats and mules and everything. I was pleased to be a volunteer. It makes me want to do it again. It is such a great cause to keep an animal alive longer to fulfill all of their years of life, and not be euthanized. I would encourage anyone to donate and help them at this 501c3 nonprofit organization.

I’ve been involved with the Villa for many years Now . , I have 3 rescue horses myself that I saved From slaughter, so needless to say we have a lot in common. First of all the Villa is one of those beautiful places on this earth these animals live in paradise. The selflessness of Monica and Mercedes who run the sanctuary is the most endearing thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Every penny they get in donations goes to those animals . I have done several fundraisers for them myself and I constantly am working on raising more money for this incredible sanctuary. At times we have saved animals together from the East Coast and I have paid to have them shipped to the ranch. Because Monica will never turn down an animal in need. Villa Chardonnay it’s truly a remarkable place for animals to live out their lives.

My experience at this beautiful place was absolutely second to none. Monika and Mercedes have created an absolute haven for these animals and are truly angels on earth. The property itself is absolutely breathtaking, and is the perfect atmosphere for the rescued animals. From the sweet dogs, to the cats, to the horses, to every special creature in between, each and every animal is given the loving and beautiful life it deserves despite their previous hardships. I cannot day enough amazing things about this blessed place and these ladies. I am truly grateful to have visited and been able to see first hand the magic and love that occurs.

We have been fortunate to have been invited to visit the old sanctuary in temecula years past when we first started to donate Subsequently we were fortunate to visit the new facilities in Hemet and were even more pleased as to Monika's and Mercedes zeal for the preservation of all the wonderful creatures that make our life richer. We urge all animal lovers to participate in this endeavor and worthwhile cause. our donation has been cheerfully submitted Mike and Teri Michel San Bernardino

I recently visited Villa Chardonnay Sanctuary and can't believe how beautiful and happy every animal is! They are true animal advocates not turning away the senior animal population or the injured ones. They truly respect all lives. They take in animals from the shelters and horse rescues. They indeed rescue horses not temporarily but permanently. Please donate if you can to help for the animal's long term care.

I have been doing researches on Animal Shelters and Sanctuaries. There are a few animal sanctuaries where people are dedicated to protecting abandoned and slaughter bound animals. Villa Chardonnay offers an unprecedented service to its community. A service which is very important for preserving the equilibrium between man and fauna. I looked at how Animals are treated here and found that it is a caring and loving home for animals. Without Animal Sanctuaries like Villa Chardonnay, whose prerogative is to protect animals subjected to domestic malice. The world would be curbed by a barbarism to destroy Animalia leaving us with no legacy to show our children or their children. I would like to applaud the staff at Villa Chardonnay, without their love and care who knows what could have happened to over 270 animals kept here? Keep up the good work Villa Chardonnay.

New to the rescue business, having come from the medical field helping high-risk patients. Couldn't have picked a better place to volunteer my time! The animals are all loved and no one lacks food, medical treatment, farrier and dental services. The founder has a heart the size of Texas! This is definitely a hidden jewel buried in Southern California and of the USA.

It is an amazing home for many types of loving animals. They are so caring and loving towards their pets. Monica took in a cat we rescued named Charlie who had been very hurt from other cats in the street. He is now peaceful and safe in the new catery. Love this place and these ladies ????

Loved seeing the animals...They all look so happy and well fed. Love how they care for even the senior animals regardless of what condition they have giving them a great quality of life. I have never seen another place that gives the proper diet and supplements to accommodate each animal. There is a senior horse named Cher who had to have all her teeth pulled and is completely blind. I was told that after a while she began to lose weight so the vet and dentist were called for an assessment. The dentist suggested to put her down. The vet and the ladies decided to give her chance with the proper diet and now Cher is blind, toothless but plump and happy. Many other rescues would have put her down or try to pass her on to the next. If I was an animal this is where I would want to live. They respect every animal's right to live. This organization is truly an organization that loves and cherishes EVERY ANIMAL'S LIFE not just the young and adoptable. We can all learn from this 501c3 nonprofit organization.
