Took my Doberman to get looked at for his ear infection and the staff took very good care of him. I appreciate the attention and their patience. Price was decent as well.

I've recently moved to the area and took my girl to another vet for shots. My girl is VERY AFRAID of people especially men. They just took her from me and dragged her into the back to exam her and give her her shots. It was upsetting that they wouldn't at least pick her up and carry her(she's 35 pounds) so I wasn't impressed with the way they ran things. Then my daughter to get boy to get fixed and he was so scared he wouldn't leave the kennel and barked at the vet tech every time she tried to get him out. She ended up reporting him to the county as being aggressive although he never once tried to bite or attack anyone. Needless to say when my girl got sick I searched for a different vet in the area. This one had the highest stars and it said "hospital" so I tried them. The staff was very understanding to her anxiety and didn't force themselves on her. The Dr was very gentle while checking her out and told me to hold her and keep reassuring her that she's okay. They also have a candle on the counter for when someone is having to say good bye to one of their babies they have it lit and ask that you show respect during this time. This showed me they really care for the animals they care forand their owners. They only think that put me off was that it isn't a large place like you would think for being a hospital. They have 2 rooms with windows in the doors so you can see in them and they had to send out the blood and fecal specimen instead of having the lab to do it there. The way I see it is they are a full service vet office not a hospital. Yes I will continue to take my girl there because they truly do care for their patients and owners.

Our dog had sustained injuries to her head. We thought it would heal up by itself, but the wound kept growing. The vet at Mar Animal Hospital spent at least 20 minutes cleaning the wound giving her medication and sending us home with 10 days of antibiotics. This was a vet, not a vet assistant. Our total bill for the visit was $95. Mar Animal Hospital isn't trying to take you to the cleaners because you love your pet. It was a blessing to find Mar Animal Hospital

The staff are very friendly and they have discount shots and a spay/neuter facility but do not volunteer much information. We called ahead to set up a first appt for our 8week old pup, the appt was Weds, they neglected to tell us on the phone that Weds is their BUSIEST day due to having discount shots and is also first come first serve - appt times don't matter. As a result we were waiting in a hot car (May) for over an hour to be seen even though we had an appt time. Aside from that, they are great and can even spay/neuter despite it being a smaller establishment. They were great with our pup and we continue to visit them as needed - just not on a Weds

My first visit here was to have a wellness check for a kitten I adopted from the shelter. Doctor was gentle with her, soft spoken, and thorough. Our visit happened to be on shot clinic today so a large flow of dogs and their people made for a noisy wait. As soon as a room was available, we were taken there to get into a quiet space. I gratefully recommend this Vet, his staff, and clinic.

Our vet for a couple of years now. Very busy every time we have to take our furry family in but worth the wait time.

I took my dog here a couple months ago for the first time and I had a weird first impression of the staff the blonde lady at the front desk was very nice. There was a vet tech there who looked fairly young she was the one who gave me very weird vibes and did not acknowledge any questions I had. Seemed very unprofessional when talking about pricing. I felt judged like she didn’t think I could afford the prices. Not sure if that makes sense… but anyway that was the least of my worries. When the doctor came in he seemed ok. Let me know my dog had allergies and he needed to come in monthly to get a shot to take care of that. I said ok and the vet tech asked me if I wanted her to do it in front of me or take him in the back (thought that was strange) I asked her to do it in front of me. His symptoms did clear up after that. The next month my wife brought him alone and she told me the vet tech took him in the back and “gave him the shot”. His symptoms did not clear up this month and I’m not so sure they gave him anything at all he wasn’t acting like he was when he got the shot the first time nor did his allergies go away. I was reading reviews about surgery experiences cause I had scheduled a neuter for him but I can’t shake this bad feeling like something will go wrong. The reviews didn’t make me feel much better. I do not think I am going to proceed with this vet. I just wanted to share my experience.

Found a cat that was so badly matted and had to be put to sleep to be shaved.I haven't seen a cat this bad in over 15 years. Mar's came through when all the other vets I called said 30 days or more. They care about the animals. Can't tell you how happy that made me and the poor cat felt so much better.

Took my puppy for her last vaccine and over time she developed a very noticeable lump (swelling)at the injection site she started to cry if you touch it or if she lays on it wrong she’s clearly in pain and it’s not just uncomfortable I tried to contact them at 2pm when we noticed the lump was now causing pain and no answer we might have to take her to VCA specialist hospital to just make sure she’s ok the injection wasn’t done in front of me I just heard her scream when they did it hopefully she’s just a big baby and is milking this for attention if otherwise we’re going to have a problem

edit: going to 5 stars now as with my most recent visit they showed extreme care for me and my dog. had an appointment but we waited for almost 2 hours because it was their vaccine clinic day. (if you want to make an appointment do literally any other day but Wednesday). im a super patient person so we just stuck it out and we were the last to be seen before they closed for surgeries. i dont mind waiting, but they were incredibly apologetic for the wait and i spent plenty of time talking to the doctor who also expressed great care and concern over my dog who hadnt fully improved since his last visit. long waits just means the staff is taking their time with each of their patients and im grateful for that. Thank you mar animal hospital for our great care. Were able to see me for an emergency visit within minutes after calling. Nurses were friendly and I did not have to wait long to see the doctor after arriving. They have a cat that roams the lobby that is very relaxed. When showing me my options for treatment they asked if I was okay with the price which was around 400$, which isnt insane for an emergency vet visit or anything, but I assume they asked in case I wanted to knock off a few treatments to lower the price which...seems like they care about your wallet. Either that or they assumed since i'm a young adult I might not have that money on hand. Appreciated the concern either way. Will be visiting again soon as unfortunately my dogs problem wasn't entirely solved (not at any fault of the vet, they wanted to treat his condition symptomatically first), so I will be updating my review after my second visit.

Expensive.it cost about 400 to get both of my cats spayed.when me and my cats returned home I noticed both had one really swollen paw.3 times the size as normal because the gauze wrap was way too tight.

If I could I would give 0 stars. My dog was treated as aggressive because she is a German Shepard. I acknowledge that she was barking and I was fine with them putting a muzzle but I got upset when the staff member that she barked at ONCE and not again had said “I can’t wait to give you a shot!” She made it sound rude and as a punishment. My dog was afraid to go into the exam room and was shaking to get her shots. Secondly, they didn’t want to give her a bordetella and then said to do it myself because she is “feisty” FEISTY?! My dog was scared of getting a vaccine and wasn’t even fighting her for the other shots! I would never go again
