Just had my first vet appointment with A.M.C. this morning! Wow, what a completely different experience than my previous vet. The staff here is so pleasant and friendly. Dr. Yohler was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable! I felt like he made an instant connection with my little dog Bella. I’m used to having to wait on hold with my previous vet for a minimum of 15 minutes (just to schedule an appointment). And it would take months to get in to the vet clinic. I called A.M.C. last week, I wasn’t put on hold, AND they were able to get me in the following week from when I called. 10/10 completely WONDERFUL experience. I never write reviews but this experience was so positive, I am compelled to write praise for this business. Thank you A.M.C.!

Dr. Yohler prescribed a medication to treat my dog's ear infection without warning me that it carried a potential risk of damaging the auditory nerve, especially in older dogs. My dog completely lost hearing in both ears, permanently, and after 10 years of him joyfully responding to the sound of my voice, this was heartbreaking. Had I been apprised of the risk, I would have explored other options. When confronted with this issue, Dr. Yohler said simply that sometimes old dogs go deaf, as if this was a result of age and not the ototoxic drug administered to him. I no longer trust Dr. Yohler with my dog and we will not be back to Animal Medical Center of Healdsburg.

I am so grateful for Animal Medical Center of Healdsburg. My large dog got a foxtail in his ear on a Saturday, after calling all the veterinary clinics in my area as well as the emergency clinics in Santa Rosa I decided to give these kind folks a call on Monday. I had never been to this veterinarian prior as I live about an hour away. They were so very kind, compassionate and were able to get me in at noon on the same day. They had to sedate my dog in order to remove the foxtail as well as other debris from his ears. They were very kind and thorough. I am extremely impressed by the vet and his staff. I plan on making Animal Medical Center of Healdsburg my primary veterinarian.

Great Vet - saw us same day when every other vet in town said they were too busy - kind , knowledgeable, and really great experience. Harkened back to times when docs were personal and caring.

Being to new to the office I could have not been happier. From the initial phone call to make the appt. to the actual appt itself the staff was very professional, warm and inviting. The Dr. was very kind to Lenny as well as myself. I highly highly recommend this office.

My 11 year old lab Sander has fused vertebrae ....ouch! He has been having Cold Laser treatment at Animal Medical Center of Healdsburg! He loves it, helps with his pain... and he digs those coooooool shades!

We recently had to send our beloved dog Porter, to doggie heaven. I greatly appreciated how kind and compassionate everyone was. Porter was treated with great respect. We also have another dog Scooby, who is under the care of this office. The care had been surgeries, so not just a check up. Scooby has always recovered very well.

We all have our pets, dogs, cats, animals of all sorts, that we consider to be family....that we love and care for. So when we search for a Veterinarian, we are looking for a person that recognizes that love and devotion that we give to those that love us back so unconditionally. We found that in Dr Yohler and his wife, Anna. We have had many Vets in the past from Texas, Tennessee, and now California, so we have seen our fair share. Dr Yohler simply cares about your pet and is cognizant of what you can afford and what makes sense in their stage of life. He is both a Vet and a counselor so to speak. I say this because our dog is over 18 years old and is struggling quite a bit and Dr Yohler has helped us manage her care all within what we can afford. He is practical, compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. It's not a big practice, which I love. If I leave a message with his wife, Anna.....guess what, Dr Yohler actually gets the message. So, if you are looking for a small town Veterinarian that will care for your pet as much as you do, consider Dr Yohler.....tell them "Daisy" sent you.

The Animal Medical Center has been my family's go to veterinary for the past 22 years, first with Dr. Baldwin at the helm and now with Dr. Yohler. We have brought all our animals here for their medical care, from classroom mice to moody cats to our blind rescue dachshund. Dr. Yohler's affability and great bedside manner, coupled with his knowledge base and true affection towards his charges, makes his veterinary one of the best in the area. When your animal companions are sick or in pain, you want the peace of mind that your pets are completely taken care of, and that has been the case with Dr. Yohler and Anna. My family and I look forward to many more years of partnership with this great veterinarian.

Our 3-yr old terrier mix was lethargic and not eating for the second consecutive day—which of course happened to be Christmas Eve. We had not been to Animal Medical Center before, but they managed to squeeze us in. Very accessible, clean & modern office. Anna at the front desk was friendly and organized, and Dr. Yohler and his staff quickly discovered that our dog had a high fever. They were able to do blood work on the spot to determine that it was likely she had a bacterial infection. Dr. Yohler gave her an antibiotic shot, as well as Cephalexin pills for us to administer twice daily for a given time period. A huge plus was the staff’s ability to do lab work and provide results while you wait. Our dog is rapidly improving since the visit, and we are happy to have found a competent, professional Healdsburg vet and staff. Highly recommend the Animal Medical Center.

Animal Medical Center of Healdsburg is where I landed after a really negative experience at one of the other popular vets in town. I was looking for someone who listened, who genuinely cared about my pets, and who wouldn't try to upsell me on unnecessary products and services. Animal Medical Center of Healdsburg delivered all that and more. Kind and competent care every visit. I trust them and so do my animals.

This is not my regular vet but I had such a positive experience that I would consider switching and definitely do recommend this office for anyone who needs a veterinarian. I also love my current vet, but I was referred here because we couldn’t get an appointment for my dog, who was favoring his left ear and showing pain when touched. I was highly impressed by the clean atmosphere and calm ambiance. There were just few other patients, but no one was crying, meowing, barking etc. Dr. Yohler has a very calm and kind demeanor. I trusted him with my poodle, who is really timid around strangers. My dog had a fox tail deeply embedded in his ear canal and the Dr. got it out, of course, in relatively good time and explained to me how it happened and gave me some medicine to treat an ear infection which had developed. The cost was less than I expected but I know most people have different opinions on what medical care for their pets should be. Again, would highly recommend this vet and will definitely be my go-to for any time my usual office can’t schedule me in a timely manner. Also, the woman who worked the front desk was especially kind and had very good energy. Check them out!

Have been taking my lab Kaio to Dr Yohler at Animal Medical Center for few years now and service is always excellent. Dr. Yohler and staff are thorough and wonderful with our family. I trust they're honesty especially after a few occasions now where they didn't recommend procedures I expected would need to be preformed (e.g stomach pumping, and teeth cleaning) saving me hundreds of $'s. Dr. Yohler just did ACL surgery on my dog’s other leg. She had the 1st leg done two years ago. I have the utmost confidence in him. His staff is very friendly and they take care of my Willow. He has done other procedures on her and always a great outcome. Dr. Yohler and his staff are great. They took very good care of my dog on multiple occasions. Dr. Yohler is down to earth and very knowledgeable. He takes time to explain things. I have referred friends to him.
