Hayward Animal Shelter Hayward, California

Found a stray dog outside my house. She was lost with no tag and kept wandering my house. Took her to animal shelter late night and the police officer helped read the microchip, called the owner and informed. Finally dropped her off to her owner. The shelter employee went beyond to help us out!!

This is a very special place for animals and humans alike. ❤

My first time visiting was on Thanksgiving Day the reason was not good because my dog passed away three days after my Mom we took our deceased dog there to be cremated and I'm waiting for the ashes to come back in the stern with paw print and name they have great service for the animals

Friendly caring Staff. They will even talk to you (unlike many Shelters which will only deal with you via Email - how about that). Anyone who has tried to see available Adoptable Animals during the Pandemic know what I'm saying.

Went there to see cats. They are all so sweet we wanted to take them all. We just went in to get one and got two. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have wonderful animals if your looking to adopt this is the place.

I find two cats and tried to turn them in here and they turned me and the homeless cats away

I called for advice about 4 feral kittens last Saturday to help save them and left a message and my phone number and no one has replied. I just want help to save them and they're Momma and I was very disappointed ????????????

slow to responce , i called 3 times. ,it took them all dsy to pick up a dead creature , dead thats not a hasttle just a pick up i left a message 3 time , i covered the fowl , next day thete was a dead possum in the street i was afraid to call so i put him in the recycler ! for compost

HAS is amazing! The work they do for our community; their TNR (trap, neuter and release) program; foster program; adoption rates, as well as community education programs have cut the rate of unwanted animal in the Hayward area Hugely. It is never-ending and I am honored to do my small part. These are just a few neonatal kittens saved by this shelter through their foster program, of which I proudly am a part of. This is just a small glimpse at the kittens I have had a hand in saving. All now have loving forever homes. I found my dog here i had him for 3 to 4 years and his name was wishbone and now his name is Niner i am using my school computer just wanted to check out the place live in stockton now use to live in hayward i just wanted to thank the shelter for having them their and some other family was trying to get him but we were in line first thank god lol but that sucked for them hopfully they found a new dog to adopt my youtube channel is jurassicfox i will post a video with him soon and

I was the truck driver trying to save a female dog with the blue collar she was running in traffic on mission blvd next to the car wash I'm glad that animal control called me back for the update that she found the doggie and the owners ????
