Very supportive & compassionate staff Fair price for services

It's not like it used to be...friendly...easy...and inexpensive. The new staff is very rude to senior citizens and I am disgusted...only go here if you want to be talked down to. I wish I had the little girls name secured behind her plexiglass...rude...difficult...and expensive. I wish I could give negative stars but they don't give that option.

The stuff is very friendly and they do love pets. We drove 3+ hours to adopt a dog there. We've met the dog, took it for a short walk within the shelter, talked to the stuff. The adoption process was very fast and accurate. Thank you!

I'm not even sure if this establishment deserved 1 star. Obviously if you are looking to adopt or donate, the staff was very delightful to assist you. When you are trying retreived your pet is a whole different scenario. The lady behind the desk was rude and I can tell by her body language and attitude towards me that she is not willing to help or assist me. Greeting her and ignoring me is fine,, but when she tried to intimidate me and made me feel uncomfortable was not okay. Her tone towards me is what I found most inappropriate. I felt like I had to defend myself.

Horrible experience they ask TOO many personal questions that has nothing to do with my dog!! The lady behind the desk is terribly RUDE.This is my first experience ever dealing with animal control I dont know how she's still working there

Staff friendly, courteous, and helpful. Found a very young kitten, skinny, and hungry. I wasn't able to keep or find a home, but the shelter was kind enough to help this poor creature.

What a horrible non professional place.. the lady ashley counldnt answer our question so she hung up instead of being a professional held to a higer standard. The worst part is they wear a badge and are completely disrespectful.. feel bad for the poor dogs and cats that put up with evil people.. hire more intelligent people kings county.

I went in first thing Tuesday morning 4/9/19 to ask if they could please scan a dog that had showed up at my home on 4/6/19. The woman behind the desk was rude and not helpful. I informed her I did not want to surrender the doggy, but instead just needed help (scan) finding her owner. She said, in a self righteous tone, “if I scan her she stays!” I told her I did not mind keeping her in my home until we could find her family, but the caretaker at this facility refused to even acknowledge my plea. How is one to help a defenseless animal when you have people like this woman working at a place that is expected be compassionate towards all animals. This was extremely disappointing because I expected animal control to be more humane and understanding. Specially, if someone is trying to be helpful.

Very good service and so many cats and dogs

I took my male cat to get neutered and when I got him back he was shaved and had a incision in the middle of his tummy. On the paper it says unable to locate right testicle NOT neutered. Services Exploratory surgery. My cat is now throwing up and acting strange. HOPE animal foundation does not know what they’re doing. Male cats don’t get neutered through the stomach!! Spayed dogs do!

I had my cat nuetred there and he was taken care of very well.

I've called them numerous times regarding the dog next door. This dog attached myself and my children in front of my home and has killed two cats. All of the incidents they tell me they are dispatching and they never show up!! 911 told me they would be here when the attack happened they never showed up! This is very disappointing!!

Helpful people every time I've gone in

Very prompt and attentive. Make sure to take your time discussing and asking all the questions you have: since they process so many animals they tend to come off as not caring about your situation, but when they're not on their busy day (Tuesday), they take the time to answer them to the best of their ability as well as provide several service options that you might not be aware of.

Great place to get a great pet.
