VCA Arden Animal Hospital Glendale, California

The vets here cannot handle cats without injecting sedatives… which kitten won’t be scared at the vet? We were told multiple times that they cannot exam our cat, and we have to return days later after giving him a sedative. Then, the nurse and vet gave conflicting instructions on when and how much sedative to give… What’s worse, they charged us $120 after failing to do any exams for our cat. And we waited almost 1 hour outside after they vet said they couldn’t do any exams - they didn’t give back our cat until we called… They have also made mistakes in our prescription. We’re going somewhere else.

The receptionist made an appointment for this morning at 8:30am for our sick cat and we even received a confirmation e-mail. My sister and I show up and are told our cat, in fact, does not have an appointment, because no one put it into the schedule. This was AFTER we loaded up our scared sick cat into a carrier and drove all the way to the vet's office. They told us we would have to wait hours to have our cat seen and it wouldn't even be with our vet, just first available. I don't know how you make mistakes like this when people have animals that need help. We've been going to VCA Arden since we first got our cat 3 years ago but this was completely out of line. Finding another vet.

Used to be a great place - never had any problems for years and always great service. Now have to wait a week and a half for an appt for a sick cat. Not the service or concern they’ve shown in the past. What happened!?

I don’t understand how this place is 4.5 stars? The front girl is extremely rude. I hope their doctors know that and fix it. This is unacceptable….

We have four dogs at present and have been visiting VCA Arden Animal Hospital for over ten years. I would use go anywhere else because of everyone at the Hospital, from staff to Doctors. They are the best!

Excellent Animal Hospital! Staff very courteous and knowledgeable. Doctors and Techs are great, your pets are treated as part of their family. Front Office Gals receive you with a welcoming smile, specially Denise. She knows her job to the "T"! The services given to your pets are priced reasonably. They make every visit pleasant.

I'd give this a full five if it wasn't for the extreme high prices but after my last experience I was given an opportunity that allowed me to see that the management team that represents this company will try for their clients. I did leave this location extremely upset knowing that I got charged $110 for what was called a "pre exam" to my rabbit which consisted of the vet checking my rabbit ears, heartbeat, and stomach to give the okay that hes healthy for a neuter. But not long after I was contacted by the hospital manager who was willing to discuss with me how my visit went and resolved my complaint. In considering this company it's best to keep in mind their front desk services might not be that great and their prices are very high

I've been coming here with my cats for years. They're lovely and caring. I brought my Jerry in for grooming today and they did an amazing job!

I have taking my 2 year old labradoodle here since he was puppy and my new puppy the vets are always soo patient and informative.

I usually never take the time to write reviews, but the experience that I had at VCA Arden warrants one. I was really reallyyy nervous to get my bunny spayed, so much so that I kept putting it off for months. However, with such high risks for ovarian/uterine cancer, I knew I had to eventually go through with it. After doing research for months on rabbit savvy vets, I knew my bunny would get the best possible care from Dr. Misetich, and I was proven correct. Dr. Misetich did a thorough pre-op examination and talked me through the entire procedure and what to expect. The following week, the surgery went perfectly, and the Dr personally called me to inform me that she had already woken up from the anesthesia. The front desk also called me after each appointment to check in. And when I had some questions post-op while my Dr wasn’t in, the other rabbit savy vet, Dr. Limburg, promptly answered all my questions-- even after they had closed for the day. On top of all this, the manager Patty even called me with a financial plan to workout the payment as I had some concerns due to being a full-time student. With the high quality care, friendly staff, knowledgeable vets, and great customer service, I would never take my bunny anywhere else. If you want your bunny to be in the best possible hands, look no further!

I love the Vets at this VCA, I have been taking my pups to Dr.Schnabel and Dr. Misetich for years! They are always so patient and so caring and always address any concerns I have, also Dr. philbin, I recently took my pup there it was my first time with her, she’s also super kind and caring. I don’t think I would ever feel comfortable taking my pups anywhere else.

Love the people here who take great care and provide attentive service for our difficult and unique 8 year old rescue mix breed. She has a bite history and the vets and techs here have been so helpful to socialize and treat her.

This is about treatment that I received from VCA Arden, I took my older cat there for day care because I can't leave her in the environment where I am living by her self. I have known many of the staff at Arden and always been fond of many of the staff to name a few, Patty Hospital Manager, Dr. Lemburg, Lynne, Pandora and other staff members, mainly techs. Never before has this happened to me, I tripped fell over the throw rug in lobby after going through entrance door, very embarrassed, shocked and could not move, had to be taken to emergency in ambulance. As medics were loading me into ambulance VCA office staff comes running out with a form for me to sign, I was leaving my cat there so I signed it. I was in a state of shock and pain as I am 69 yrs old and fallls like this are much worse as you get older. Anyway, VCA is refusing to give me a copy of the form that they required me to sign.. I spoke with Barbara she (was very rude) said that they need to get approval to give me a copy of the form that I signed, what the hell kind of BS is this? Then Barbara said these are statements that I heard you make, it is like I was enemy? I made no statements to anybody only that I tripped fell over rug coming through front door. Why do they need approval to give me a copy of what they ask me to sign especially when I did not read it and was being loaded into ambulance? VCA hospitals are owned by MARS candy company. MARS only goal is profit I know people that worked for MARS back east, unreal sales pressure. I am very concerned that I was required to sign something then they refuse to give me a copy without approval? I know that there are many document altering programs on market. So I called VCA Arden asking for Patty's e mail they would not give it, then I asked for her last name they would not give it. Patty and other's at Arden have always been helpful and I could depend on them but this has made me never want to go back there again. I AM REVOLKING MY SIGNATURE TO THIS AN OTHER DOCUMENT THEY STATE THAT I SIGNED.

This place has excellent customer service. The doctors are very knowledgeable and they specialize in rabbits.

It seemed very much about money and not my dying cat. Their services were limited, e.g. once an Xray showed something they didnt have an ultrasound and never followed up with me.

Life Savers Cats aren’t the only ones with 9 lives...! I don’t know what the heck goes on behind those doors but my dog has more fun with them then with me even for vaccinations ????...!..

Excellent Veterinarians and a really nice staff. They do well by the 4 dogs whose house we live in.

Vets very nice and helpful..unfortunately my dear pet/kitty didnt make it and is in kitty heaven..????...! I especially recommend a Dr Raymond..i just do nt know if hes still there!..

Terrible experience and they botched our kittens incision from being spayed. After not even one day the staples are coming out and she didn't even have that active of a day. Montrose pet hospital is the way to go.

We always take our dogs to VCA. They have seen us through health and tragedy.

I recently adopted a cat from the Pasadena SPCA and they sent me here for a follow up vet visit. I’m extremely happy they did, because otherwise I would never have found this vet. Everyone from front staff to vet techs and the vet I saw were extremely friendly, helpful, and good with my 2 cats. Love that the first visit for a cat is free, and I was very happy with the prices. The place is clean and organized and has a small shop that sells food and other supplies. This is my new regular vet!
