Absolutely the best groomers ever..,very friendly staff they took such wonderful care of our 15-year-old lab and our eight-year-old lab… Our 15-year-old is very frail and they were very gentle and our eight-year-old is a little finicky when it comes to touching his feet both dogs came home happy and looked amazing ...very efficient and worth every penny ???? excellent staff ???? thank you for taking care of our four-legged friends “family “

I've been bringing my labradoodle (mostly poodle) to Funky Poodle Grooming for a little over a year and I have always been greeted with a smile and friendly attitude. I appreciate that! My dog has never enjoyed going to a groomer but always loves his shorter cut when he's all done, so we keep coming back. When I ask for a specific cut, that's what he gets. It's a small hometown shop and my family wants to support our local economy. I've tried going to the big box groomer but their turnover of staff meant that my dog could never feel a connection with any one groomer in particular and with the same instructions, I'd get a range of different results. Dependable, friendly, cost efficient, and supporting my community is a win win for me.

I brought my shi-tzu in to get groomed and when I came in to pick her up, she wasn't quite ready. The woman that owned the place told me I needed to leave because "it would agitate the dog" so I waited outside, and I could hear the woman yelling and screaming at my dog. My dog has never had any issues getting groomed, in fact has been highly complemented on how well she behaves at groomers in the past and in the present. I will NEVER take my dog here again, and I advise you not to either.

I love this place. I have taken all four of my animals here including my cat. The owner Teresa and her other groomers are Very friendly, Very happy, Very patient and caring, gentle. My animals love getting bathed and groom..They are always happy getting groomed and always look like movie stars...This place rocks!!!!

I brought my poodle in for a face trim and his nails done. He ended up with a sanitary cut, where they injured his anus, cut his flesh near his scrotum, and pulled hair from his ears resulting in scabs and blood. My sister made a courtesy call to discuss with her the matter, asked for nothing and she went nuts, yelled at my sister and then left a crazy voice mail. I know there are many other options for dog grooming on the Minden and Tahoe area, I would avoid this business in the future.
