We are new to the area and are happy to find a great place for our 11 year old lab that has several issues. They were so kind and friendly with our girl. Priscilla was great at greeting her at the door, Theresa was very thorough with her description of the procedure and after care, thank you Tobie for getting us in so quickly. Dr. VanderMay was great and went the extra mile giving our girl the attention she needed. We feel good knowing there’s a vet family we can trust our girl to.

Had very bad experience a few years ago with a puppy. I waited hours crying .they put him on oxygen and said to leave and they would call. Well they did not call. I called them and they coldly said he had died hours ago.No compassion and they charged me almost $300.00 anyway! Will never return

We brought in a kitten that we had found in our backyard after we noticed she was having diarrhea and started to be lethargic. We took her in 3 times over 5 days to try and find out what was going on with our sweet baby and we did all of the instructions given to us by the vet. After the fourth trip to the vet he finally took it semi serious and had her put on fluids only to be told it was probably to late for her and to “prepare ourselves” And we got a call a few hours later that our poor kitten died while they were on a lunch break. We did everything we could to try and save our baby and spent hundreds of dollars at this vet office to just be told we were to late getting her help even though we brought her in immediately after her first symptoms of illness. NEVER take an animal you love here.

The staff are always thoughtful and compassionate. Toby is always helpful. We moved out here 8 years ago and they have been our Veterinarian from day one.

We have been taking our furbaby to Jobs Peak her entire life (11 years). She is a timid little Crocker that we rescued at 7 weeks old. Dr Dan has always been so cognizant of her nervous behavior and has always taken wonderful care of her. Tazie is on a special diet and therefore we are in Jobs Peak monthly to get her food. The staff over the years (Theresa, Debbie, Toby, Karen and others) have always been professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. I can't imagine taking our little girl anywhere else! Thanks for all you guys do!

Toby is such a wonderful caring person. My little Kyra recently had to have several (7) teeth pulled because of a pretty serious gum infection. Toby made her know she was loved until she was back with me. The Dr is also very caring and always explains exactly what is needed. I appreciate them so, so much.

WORST CLINIC I'VE EVER BEEN TO! On my first visit they showed zero lack of respect for my opinion on my dogs condition and health I felt I should have somewhat of a relatively close idea as he is my pet) which resulted in them turning me away because they simply "didn't see any signs for mange" during their 2 minute or so visual inspection so when asked to perform the test for my dogs mange issue that I seriously felt he had they referred me somewhere else (even after saying they could technically do it there) which I'd imagine is due to them just not wanting to do it, less than 2 weeks later my dogs mange situation was so severe he had patches of missing fur, open wounds, and he stopped eating all within 48 hrs. When I called Jobs Peak to see if they could take a re-look at his condition now as it was obviously missed during the first visit they made me aware the vet didn't appreciate I said "he should have caught it" and that I should go somewhere else in the mean time. I did not know that this clinic, was so hell bent on personal feelings and less on providing medical coverage for my animal! The next day they called to let me know my f/u apt scheduled for the following Monday was being cancelled because they simply did not want to see my dog anymore because of what I said about the vet 'missing his symptom the first visit" and "good luck!" What a joke, their lack of empathy for my animal could have resulted in his life and their vet's behavior on being called out on a misdiagnoses was beyond childish!! Save your time, money, and your animals well being by avoiding this place!! Would rate this place a -1 if I could!

I’d like to give them a good review, because I like the younger doctor, he’s always been kind. But I can’t. Why? Because their billing procedures make NO SENSE! It’s $250 to neuter a 40 pound dog, yet it’s $600 to have the dog’s teeth cleaned, and that’s just a basic cleaning, no extractions? For teeth cleaning they require pre-anesthesia bloodwork, yet for neutering they do not. I used to work at a vet. I used to do teeth cleaning and assist in surgery, spays, neuters and all. There is NO reason why bloodwork should be REQUIRED for a teeth cleaning, but not a neuter, especially on a 4 year old dog who is healthy. It’s the same anesthesia! These guys are trying to squeeze every last dollar out of people who are sincerely trying to take care of their pets. When I worked at a vet, bloodwork was NEVER required for anesthesia, especially if the dog appeared healthy. It may have been recommended to the owner, but it was the owner’s choice. And a basic teeth cleaning with no extractions takes about 10 minutes. These guys are reaming people. I called two other vets in the area and their base price for teeth cleaning was much cheaper. I won’t be going back to Job’s Peak.

Ours was a tough visit because of the reason for it, but the staff treated us and our pet with compassion and dignity.

During a time of financial crisis, our little Maltese became very ill, and required surgery. Job's Peak helped us to reduce the cost through a local pet rescue fund, and allowed us to make payments after an initial good faith deposit. They also helped us make some dietary adjustments. This was 6 years ago, and our little one is doing very well thanks to their interventions.

Went to this vet today and had a great experience! They were so loving toward my pup. Dr Dan got on the floor to check out my skittish pup so he wouldn’t be freaked out on the table. My dog is a rescue so he has anxiety in new situations. He was even wagging his tail. Very affordable for multiple pet owners. Very satisfied with my experience.

HATED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I waited for 3 hours until they let me dog go AFTER paying!!!! Rude staff- tell you what what is even more rude is the doctors they sound like automated robots. While I waited for them to take my dog and I to talk to the doctor, all he kept saying was “It’s going to cost this...” “It’s going to cost that” and I am SICK of the way they speak to you!!!! I am only going to take my dog to Carson Valley Animal Hospital because they actually care about your animals and They make sure you are feeling okay after your dog or cat has to be Euthanized. They give you the support and care you need. They give you options on what to do next. NEVER GO TO JOBS PEAK HOSPITAL!!!!!!!! I AM TELLING YOU THEY ARE THE WORST

After bringing various pets to Jobs Peak Veterinary Clinic for nearly 20 years I was very callously turned away on a Saturday morning when my 12-year-old lab Hutch was in obvious discomfort and displaying some urgent symptoms. Apparently they didn’t have 5 to 10 minutes to even look at Hutch after all these years. I’ll never burden them with my support and business again.
