You guys don't now how to make a proper appointment when you guys had me down for the 20th not the 16th I was on a call waiting list not very happy with this place

The staff are very professional and the doctor was very thorough and communicative. Took my new rescue dog in for a exam and I was impressed. Reasonable rates and not pushy or judgmental. Very friendly.

The vet is amazing and was great with end of life services for my cat

Drs. Solinger and Kaplow are the best! My pups have gone to them for over 6 years. I wouldn't take them anywhere else!

Beware of Dr. Kaplow at Lakeside Pet Hospital. I just had a check to see if my dog a a broken stitch. Dr. Kaplow was not the surgeon, as it was performed by a neurologist. I took my dog there because he was her "primary vet" and the surgeon was off today. Dr. Kaplow called me in the parking lot and said the surgical site looked good. Keep her quiet. When the staff called me for billing, I had a check ready for $39.00! Dr. Kaplow called me back because he would not take a check! I have been going to this office for over 15 years!!!! My dog has insurance! He was so IRATE that he brought out my tiny Yorkie and SHOVED her at me. I'm sure this motion of anger made it painful at the surgical sight. I told him not to handle her in that manner and he said it was due to Covid 19! WHAT? He was so angry that it amounted to abuse and the authorities will be involved. NEW ACTIVITY

We've always been very impressed with the level of service we get. The prices are in line with some of the nicer vets so not the cheapest around. But we think they're worth it and do a great job. They also happen to be very close to our house which doesn't hurt.

I went to Lakeside pet Hospital for the first time to have a mass growth removed from my 13 year old lab’s leg. They were so professional, courteous, caring, and completely walked me through what to expect from the procedure and recovery. The surgeon, Lee, came out after the surgery and walked me thru everything that was done, answered all questions and put me at ease. He even followed up later that day when I got home to make sure she was doing ok. It was a very fair and reasonable price and I will go back for any future needs my dog has.

I can’t imagine taking my boys to any other vet! Dr Kaplow and staff are amazing and have taken the best care of all of my animals for years, he has seen some of my pets from 8 weeks old until old age took them away, he has seen me and my pets through healthy times as well as cancer and other unfortunate illness and had been kind, caring and knowledgeable through it all. Dr Kaplow treats every animal as if it was his own and has been there for my pets during office hours, at 2 am when one of my dogs passed from a stroke and even met us at the clinic at midnight on Christmas Eve when my daughters dog got into chocolate! Dr Kaplow always gives me every option for every situation and talks me through everything to help me make the best choices for my pets and is nothing short of the best veterinarian you can find.

Quick shout out to the staff at Lakeside Pet Hospital. Love what your're doing to keep us all safe, while still taking care of our pets. Had to bring our pup in last week for a blood draw and an injection. The staff met me at my car, took the pup and brought her back out when they were finished. Dr. Kaplow called me before i left the parking lot with details of the appointment, asked if i had any questions (I always do) and answered them. Thanks Lakeside Pet Hospital! Stay safe!

Super friendly staff. The place is super clean and you can tell they run a tight ship. Dr. Sollinger is awesome. I have an elderly cat and he really cares a lot about her quality of life and what we can do to make her more comfortable when it comes to end of life care. The techs are always polite and willing to answer Amy questions I might have as a first time pet owner.

Terrific neighborhood vet. Dr. Kaplow has cared for our two cats since they were kittens. His staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They routinely call after shots or procedures to check on your pet.

I have seriously gone back and forth on if I even wanted to post this review. I finally decided that I cannot remain silent and feel that everyone deserves honesty... This review is going to be a somewhat HALF and HALF sort of deal. So I will start with the positive aspects of this business. Positives: Tech staff is always friendly and pleasant. They greet you with a smile and always go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of and comfortable. Dr Sollinger is always upbeat, caring with your pets and even has a pleasant sense of humor. Now on to the other side of this review... Negatives: This is the part I have been reluctant to share. I'll try to be as brief as I possibly can. Dr Kaplow seems to have mood changes, which therefore affect how he will treat you. While he can be pleasant and friendly, if he is triggered the wrong way, he can be the complete opposite. We were loyal customers for 12 years, so when we had this unpleasant experience, it literally shocked us. He treated us with such disrespect toward the end, which caused us to take our business elsewhere. I don't want to say too many negative things, all I can say is PLEASE use extreme caution when using this business. Most especially if you will be doing business directly with Dr Kaplow.

Great and friendly staff and very convenient location to where I'm at.

Hands down the BEST vet in Sacramento. Every vet in the area shut me down when I begged to get my dog in for a same day appointment after an unexpected emergency occurred. Dr. Kaplow and his team got my lab in right away when I called in a panic. The staff are so professional and understanding. Dr. Kaplow went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable and healthy. He even called me on his days off to check up on Wrigley’s progress. I cannot thank Dr. Kaplow and his team enough for being so kind and helpful, and for the quality of care they provided for my pup.

We love the doctors at this location. They are so kind and explain everything very thoroughly. My dog actually LIKES to go to the vet, can't ask for more than that.

Dr. Kaplow has always been great. I trust him completely with my Daisy girl. She has been a patient at Lakeside since I adopted her from a shelter 10 years ago! He is caring and compassionate and did a great job as a surgeon. They are all wonderful there!

We've been to a lot of vets in the past and now we can stop looking. We will not go anywhere else. Dr. Kaplow is very kind and thoughtful in the treatment of our ancient little 17 year old Havanese and our younger Goldendoodle. The clinic is spotless and the staff are super friendly. Being able to trust your fur kids are getting the best care available is super important. I feel like at Lakeside Pet Hospital they are getting this specialized treatment and we couldn't be happier.

Everyone at Lakeside is fantastic! Doctors Kaplan and Sollinger are not only well trained and knowledgeable but obviously care about our pets very much. I recently took one of our cats for treatment there and he was treated gently and professionally. Sarah (sp?) worked with Dr. Sollinger and she is one of them finest human beings I have ever met. She really, really cared about Boris and saw that he was as comfortable as possible, but also was very kind to his nervous owner! Dr. Sollinger was also fantastic, and was able to help Boris with his problem - and was excited and happy to do so! Lakeside is our VFL (Vets for Life)!

The vets and staff are very caring and ethical. I knew my 19 y/o cat was close to the end, but with some extra attention from the vet and extra effort at home, we got another 6 months of quality time. Enough time to say our goodbyes and spoil him rotten :) Thanks to the vets, they helped me get through this tough process, making sure my little guy didn't suffer. I'm forever grateful.
