I can’t believe the negative reviews. The front desk employees are always pleasant and helpful. The Dr’s are thorough and understanding. I have never had a bad experience in 5 years . I also don’t understand why people say they are overpriced and rip people off. As far as my experience they are comparable to the vets I used in Burlingame and Menlo Park.

I am Shocked at such negative reviews for this hospital. I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic and it's staff. Prices are affordable, and they are not "after your money" We had a great experience today with Dr Hill and our technician Rose. I brought my two dogs in today for exams. When it came time for exams my pups were comfortable with the staff, and went to the treatment area with our technician willingly. Rose is wonderful and is very friendly, she handled my boys well and they loved and trust her. Dr. Hill is great and is very thorough, she values giving patients and owners quality care and information. She addressed all of my questions and concerns, both of my boys left with happy wagging tails. The clinic is very clean and cozy. Reception was welcoming and we felt we belonged. My two dogs walked in and made themselves at home. The location is very convenient for military families since it isn't a far drive from the base. The hospital also has a fence surrounding the building which is wonderful in the case of an escaped pet, this prevent them getting access to the very busy road. I am looking forward to getting to know the rest of the staff in the future as this is now going to be our regular vet. Very please and happy with service today. Glad we found this hospital!

Rude on the phone. Yelled at me for asking questions and then refused service.

My sister dropped my dog out of a tree and broke his leg we spend over 900 dollars and for what they gave my dog to a different fam and I have no words for this oh wait yes I do that are rude mean and dum they have my dog away

Very disappointed with this clinic. We always see someone new and can never get an appointment because they say they're always booked but never see anyone else in there when there. Always forcing us to get an exam to refill heartworm or Bravecto. Can never get in for emergency visits. We will be searching for a new home to bring our very loved fur baby. Got a notice of their release as my dog's service provider today due to this review. If you read through more of these reviews, you'll see they really aren't there to care for your loved ones. They drop you as clients when you're not happy with their services and express it.

Over priced, bad service, they forget stuff. The two older new front desk ladies are at least nicer than previous girls. They at least acknowledge you.

We tried the grooming department with our feisty lil fella and Vivian did a great job!! Also Dr. Hill was our first stop and she was very thorough and detailed. We are all in with Sunset! And of course the excellent customer service and camp fun provided by D Block the Camp Manager!

We have taken both our 4 legged kids to Sunset Animal Hospital for years . They have always treated them with love and attention and by there names Harley and Yoshi . I would have no problem recommending them for your family .

Very unhappy with the treatment my dog received here. I explained the severity of the problem and I feel they didn't acknowledge this. So I basically spent $700 for them to give me some meds and put a bandaid on my dog. Three days later I'm taking her somewhere else to spend 1k for surgery that they should have either scheduled to begin with or performed initially. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I just feel the treatment plan and how they handled the whole thing was wrong.

I walked into Sunset Animal Hospital. The Cat Entrance. The receptionist didn't even say hi to me. I said hi twice and then hamsher said how can I help you. Didn't make me feel very welcome. There was no availability and I understood that. She said we're booked but didn't even offer me to try to book and appointment. From the very second I walked in I did not feel welcome.

This is the BEST Animal Hospital EVER!! Dr. Hill and the wonderful staff there are amazing. And the hospital is CLEAN like a hospital for humans. Sounds crazy but I judge a place on appearance and the last animal hospital I visited was not so clean and welcoming. I’m glad I found this Veterinarian Hospital for my sweet puppy and look forward to building a long relationship with their caring staff ♥️

Just came on here today to look up their phone number to call them and saw they had an over all 3.2⭐ rating and I had to write a review. I am honestly shocked to see this rating. I ALWAYS bring my pets here without any hesitation. Their staff is amazing, warm, kind hearted, and genuine. Last year I took my cat Marcie to them, she was very sick but we had no idea why or what she had. Our doctor literally sat in the room with us and cried because she had no idea what was wrong. She told us Marcie probably only had a couple days at most left. Both us and our doctor excpected 2 days at most left and our doctor called us PERSONALLY CRYING to offer her condolences and senserest apologies. To our surprise Marcie had not passed yet and when we told her she offer to help and offer ways for us to help ease Marcie's pain. I would and will still go here for any of my pets AND I will ALWAYS RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

A great place to overpay for services you’ll never experience ! Dropped over a grand and then they dropped me as a loyal customer !they should have staff retrained appropriately they have rookies working there AND IT SHOWS

If you have and emergency skip this place! They have a huge sign on their building that says Emergency, not sure why. I've taken my pets here twice in an emergency situation and both times I was directed by them to go to Pet Emergency in Cordelia. Don't waist your time going to this place!!!!

I can’t understand the bad reviews! I brought my Cocker Spaniel here with an “urgent” issue and she was treated so kindly and with urgency. I have no complaints about wait time, service, the medical team, or the cleanliness of the place. I just relocated to Travis AFB and will be bringing my fur babies to this clinic from now on. The prices are affordable and reasonable even without the military discount (which they offer). Thank you for taking such good care of my baby, Sunset!

I called this morning when they first opened to see about an apt for my dog who had a hematoma on her ear. They were able to see her same day. great care for both me and my dog and best prices I've seen in a long time

For the 2nd time in as many year, this sham of an animal clinic refused to treat THEIR patient in emergency situation. First my girl was having seizures and I sped to the clinic only to be told as she seized in front of the doctor that they were closing and wouldn’t help us. Ended up at the cordilia emer hospital. With in minutes they assessed her and determined that she had eaten a product and that she was basically high and just needed rest. The second was yesterday after my boy cut himself severely. I called to say we were on our way only to be told that they had no time to see him. Mind you it noon. I was informed about the emer hospital but that they didn’t open until 5 pm. My boy spent 7 hours at Uc Davis to undergo surgery to repair the damage. NEVER EVER WILL I RECOMMEND OR USE THIS HOSPITAL. IF THERE WAS A NEGATIVE NUMBER to rate I’d give them a -999. Value your pet and find a new vet for the ones you love.

Truly a shitastic place, they had no problem allowing my dog to die in front of them when all she needed was insulin, wouldn’t give her water but when it comes time to pay I’m suddenly paying for urgent care she NEVER received due to a heavily neglectful staff. My dog stayed waiting in critical condition for over 4 hours I’m genuinely surprised she pulled through. If you care about your pet don’t bring them here , they just called to tell me they didn’t want my dog there due to a personal problem with the staff. Dropped my dog like a bag of rocks after paying well over a grand These people don’t care about you or your animal, they can’t even pretend to. Three days to fill a prescription ?? You’re lazy AND neglectful are you trying to get my dog back in critical condition ??? There’s red flags and warning signs all over this place if I could give a negative review I would :-5

I personally think this clinic is great! All th staff are nice and dealt with my rabbit wonderfully. They are open 12 hrs so you can easily bring them in if ur furbaby is sick. DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND

When you put Re-Chcek 30 Days $0....And then turn around an charge me $37.45 for a re-check....Which your girl Maribel said was FREE.. NOT a Happy Camper...DO NOT Go to Sunset Animal Clinic...They Lie!!! UPDATE: They are refunding me the money for the recheck. Dr. Cohen also said they are reworking that process, so it is not confusing.....it wasn’t my confusion....their vet tech said the recheck was free....so this is their confusion.
