I’m sure that maybe the people here are better with other animals, but if you have a sick leopard gecko, please go somewhere else. From my own experience, and two other experiences I’ve heard from colleges/friends of mine, Doctor Brick does not know what she is doing when it comes to this kind of reptile… either she doesn’t know, or she doesn’t care about them. I got a second opinion from a different vet about my leopard gecko, and a lot of my suspicions about Madison Ave’s treatment of my gecko were proven correct. I see that Madison Ave is good for other exotic critters, but if you have a leopard gecko, please beware. You can always call Davis Vet School and request a list of other vets in the area.

So happy I found this vet. I called today and got an appointment same day. My cat was sick with infection. Treated and home now. Will happily come and bring my pets here. Staff was all wonderful.

Took bearded dragon in for a visit and surgery was performed regarding necrotic tissue. Bearded dragon was prescribed antibiotics which can ravage the internal organs of a bearded dragon. No tests were done and when brought in for a follow up, our beardie was exponentially worse off than when first brought in. Beardie wasn't seen until the following day and just prescribed with more antibiotics. No tests were done and no follow up until I had to call as she was getting progressively worse. Had to put down bearded dragon and WOULD NOT recommend taking pet here as ZERO care was made. Disgusted and disappointed

I am so thankful for Madison Ave Vet!! They are so incredibly kind, and helped me take care of my snake in an emergency situation! It's hard to trust a vet with your reptiles, since they are exotic, but I'd recommend anyone with a scaly friend to come here! ♡ with how wonderful they've been, I hope to make them my go-to vet for all my pets!

These people are awesome. Dr. Brick and the rest of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable even for my exotic pets (guinea pigs). Their diagnoses and treatment recommendations have always been reasonable and I never felt pressured when making decisions for my pets.

I have 3 bearded dragons and take them all here. They are fast and friendly and seem to handle my scale babies well. One of my dragons is a rescue and has special needs. They have done wonders for her quality of life.

We were referred here from another vet for our bunny. We've had one exam and a neuter surgery. Both visits were great. No issues and they are all very professional at this clinic.

This clinic has abley managed our various pets health care needs over many years and many pets. They provide quality compassionate care which sadly is no longer required.

GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A BUNNY I wanted to share my story- I am grateful for Dr. Brick at the Madison Vet clinic. After 2 failed attempts at the bird and pet clinic in Roseville- I was referred to go to the Madison veternarian (leaps and bounds rescue referred me) I felt hopeless. My bunny has been sneezy and wheezy all year and each time I went to the bird and pet clinic they sent me home with experimental expensive antibiotics that did not work. 500$ wasted at the bird and pet clinic and still a sick rabbit.... I went to Madison vet clinic and the vet did a complete different diagnose. She filed my bunnies back teeth without sedation or heavy cost. She flushed my bunnies sinuses with a light rinse to clean out any thing in his nose. She gave him a shot of penicillin and he will have follow up shots for 3 weeks. I was sent home with 2 different gentle antibiotics and nose drops for a 8 week treatment to kill the bunnies infection that is causing him to be wheezy. This is day 2 he already seems better. Hes 7 years old and hes eating and breathing good today. Im so hopeful this will help him live a better quality of life. Go here if you have a bunny or any pet in need of care. Thank you to this veternarian and thought I would share my personal experience in details. UPDATE: Its been several months and my rabbits pastruella sneezes are gone. The medicine they gave me for my bunny helped him recover. It takes some time and its a battle but the infection is gone and im so grateful.

This place is the best Vet in the area! My pet Rat Larry, was helped by Dr. Marianne Brick, Carisa, and Bliss. And he got the best treatment and attention and the Vet Dr. Marianne Brick, helped keep my baby comfortable when he wasn't doing well. I'd recommend them to anyone in the area needing a great Vet, that has Drs that are specialists to handle exotic pets, as well as the typical cats and dogs. Great place and great people.

She is so nice to the exotics. And she tries to save you money. I really miss her . She was very knowledgeable and open to suggestions and really works with you and takes all precautions without charginging extra for it. I since moved to Arizona, had to get out of a bad situation. So me and my ferret Willy rode off into the sunrise and crossed the border where he enjoyed his last year being in a state where he was finally legal. He ended up with oral squaoma cell carcinoma in his upper left jaw and I had to say goodbye to my lil' soulmate. I will never forget you Dr. You were so nice to my Willy and I thought about you a lot when we were coming to grips about his end drawing near. I know she would've done anything she could to save my boy, I could see it in her eyes when I met her. I fully recommend her 100% all the way! Especially if you have a "small animal" that you cannot disclose what it is. Shes the Vet for you!

Very nice facility and kind staff

Took my doxie in twice for ear infection and weezing and coughing was told she has a slight enlarged heart and given two rounds of antibiotics. The visits cost over $600 (no heart meds or explanation for heart issue) and she's still sick. When I called to let them know she's still sick and request more antibiotics I was told to take her to an ER hospital, which I can't afford, so we'll have to find a new vet. Waisted time and money.

I had a very old snake that was ailing, and I had heard good things about this vet from a colleague in the Bio department at City College. Dr. Brick and the staff at this clinic were wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about reptiles and did a great job of going through diagnostic and treatment options and showing me how to medicate my snake. In the end, we could not save the old girl, but they were extremely sensitive and supportive during the euthanasia decision and process. I definitely recommend this clinic for reptiles, and I understand they are also wonderful with other exotic species, as well as with dogs and cats.

We take guinea pigs here for nail trims and check ups. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive and I always feel confident that they know what they are doing.
