Like this place. Just wish it wasn't so expensive to have my puppy checked out for an injury to his paw. But I also understand that they are a business that needs to make their profits as well. Just wish it was a little bit cheaper. But their prices are way better then other places I must say. For sure. And very kind and helpful staff. I highly recommend Parkway Pet Clinic to all animal owners in need of veterinary services.

Too busy to be customer service oriented.

Good veterinarian care at reasonable prices, more of a family neighborhood place than a big clinic.

We came on short notice since our little boy Prince was having difficulty breathing. Thanks to Dr. Henderson and the staff at Parkway Pet for making us feel Prince was in good hands.

This clinic is a total joke. Please don’t be impressed by their 4. something fake positive reviews on their website. I tell you that. I scheduled appointment about month ago to fix my kitten. She is a tiny 5 months old. Today her appointment was at 11:15am for drop off. I drove from Oceanside to Escondido for about 30 minutes one way and once I got there the drive threw staff said “ hi, just to let you know that we only have one doctor and other one called out, so we cannot take your pet today. Go home and reschedule” just like that right at front. I told her, well, I would have appreciated if someone called informing me that without have to drive that long for no reason. She said, “ sorry about that” I actually don’t need an apologies for careless staff/business. I wanted accountability for this type of action. Normally any business will call customers to reschedule inconvenience matters, but not driving all the way to hear that with indifferent “sorry”. My cat is very thin, and she was shaking from not eating 6 hours and not drinking water for about two hours. My cat was starving all the way home and had terrible experience for nothing. My personal experience was a total waste of time, stress and gas. I would not recommend this place ever to anyone. I would definitely go somewhere which now I prefer to pay more money knowing other vet and staff will take care of my cat.

My experience has always been great. They are friendly and caring. I have taken two of my dogs there for several years. Will continue to use them for all of my pets/companions

If you have an emergency, large or small, do not bring your pet here. Especially avoid coming in during the weekend. We brought our dog in on a Saturday with a minor emergency, as this clinic was the closest to us when we searched "emergency vet" on google. Unbeknownst to us they were having a spay and nueter clinic and were very busy. He was bleeding steadily but not heavily from his paw, and we were initially rushed into an empty room to be treated. An older gentleman came in and informed us he would be leaving but let us know what procedure would be done and that someone would be along to see us soon. Over the course of the next hour, several vet techs and one vet stopped in to apologize for the wait, promise someone would be along soon to help stop the bleeding/bring a sedative/bring pain relief. No one ever came with those things. OP A vet did come in because she "had to see it for herself" but did nothing about the bleeding. We waited in that room while our dog paced and bled for over an hour. The floor of the room was covered in bloodypaw prints, and I have photos. At one point he tried to lay down and exacerbated his injury, causing worse bleeding. I had to leave the room three times before someone finally came and took our dog in the back to be treated and shooed us away. When we came back for the recheck this morning, we waited for 30 minutes before being seen. I would not have come back, but this office makes you pay for the recheck visit when you pay for the initial treatment. I brought up the fact that we experienced terrible service, and was told by the older gentleman that it was essentially our fault for bringing our pet in on a Saturday. He informed us that after noon the clinic was only for spays and neuters, and we should have gone elsewhere. I asked why no one had suggested we go to another emergency vet when we came in and he had no answer other than they were busy. Perhaps this clinic should remove "emergency" from their services if they are not prepared to take on an emergency of any level during operating hours. I am shocked that no one came by with kwik stop or gauze to stop the bleeding while we waited. I'm sure this is a lovely practice with caring techs on slow days, but we will not be bringing either of our dogs back here. I do not recommend this place.

We had our 8 year old Lab/ Beagle mix in for a spray appointment. She developed complications from the surgery and had a bad bladder infection. When we went in again the doctor had told us her bladder is hard and she might have cancer. He suggested we do blood work when all we needed was antibiotics , 500$ later we left. She ended up only having a bladder infection. They also tried to charge us for an x-ray we didn't take and tried to get us to do bloodwork once again when we returned. I do NOT reccomend this vet to anyone. They will try to take advantage of you at any chance. They also sell prescription dog foods without issuing a prescription so that you have to come back and buy it from them.

Always friendly and gives you real advice on how to help your pet, doesn't just prescribe meds unless absolutely needed. I have brought in 5 of my animals over the past 4 years and i've never had a problem. Would recommend this Vet to anyone within a 20 mile radius. Dr Henderson is the best vet i've ever met. Thanks again!

Woke up to my dog sneezing blood out of one of his nostrils. Unsure of the cause (foreign object ?), we decided to take him to here (he was seen here before for a previous issue, and we were pleased with the service). Luckily, the clinic was able to see him the same day. After checking him, there was no foreign body in his nostril, but they did discovery that he had a cracked tooth (certainly would never have thought of that!), and apparently that tooth is what was causing his nostril problem. They extracted the tooth, and took good care of him. The next day, we could tell a difference (no more sneezing blood!). Thanks again!

I brought my elderly malti poo bubba in for a serious cryptorchid surgery, bubba had a very large growth and swelling in his groin that had gone unnoticed but the vet and ladies at parkway pet clinic did an amazing job taking care of him. We knew the risks involved with surgery at his age but i feel like he had the best care possible and best outcome here. He has been recovering but is doing 100 times better. Thank you so much!

We switched to them when our prior Vet office seemed to be costing an arm and a leg for everything - have been using them for several years now. Personnel, service and the level of care is excellent and they are extremely reasonably priced. It's not a fancy place, but is top notch for pet care (and this is something I would not scrimp on, as our dogs are family to us).

Really Great staff. They truely care about every pet that comes in more then they care about the money & you can't say that about most vets. Thank you from the bottom of my heart & "little one" for all your help. He is now doing great thanks to you guys.

As always our experience was a good one. Dr. Henderson is experienced and tells it like it is. He takes the time with you so that you feel that you have the information needed to make a decision. I like the care they continue to show to all of our pets.

They care for both of our dogs. They are kind and loving. Dr. H explains everything to you when something needs to be done. Thank you to the staff for always being so helpful. I wouldn't trust my pet family with anyone but Parkway Pet Clinic.

Horrible exsperanse my dog couldn't get himself up starting on Friday. So I called the vets office Saturday morning they told me they were busy but they would fit me in. I got there and waited, not long the ladies there were very kind. Went into the room and the doctor came in looked at the chart and told me he didn't have time to leave him and they would do X-rays I told him last time we did X-rays Max had a tuff recovery coming off the drugs and again he told me I don't have time for this, you waited to bring him in and you brought him in on a Saturday,I need to go (he tells me )I told him to just leave . Nobody cked his gum or even touched him, I payed 56.00 dollars for nothing. If you didn't have time I wish they would of told me I wouldn't of wasted my time and my brothers who helped me get him in the car I won't ever go back. Maybe Dr H should retire he's lost his bed side mannors I have been going there for 14 years very diapointed and sad

Parkway clinic may have saved my dogs life at the moment. Lab results from the blood work that they took did not discover anything relevant. It is less than a year later that the same thing happened to our son Norman and he was diagnosed with renal failure (kidney failure). This is something that doesn't happen overnight, it is something that is a slow progression. The lab results from Parkway indicated "nothing." He also has been diagnosed today with a heart murmur which is usually something that dogs are born with. Another medical diagnosis that they overlooked somehow. Like I said before, they did pump fluids through him and took blood work, but there were no findings. $1300 later, we still have our boy but the renal failure that he is experiencing today could have very well been prevented. We may lose our baby due to medical malpractice. Don't trust your buddy with this clinic. Today on Thanksgiving it is costing us $2300 to "possibly" save his life again. He is basically undertaking dialysis. His kidney levels were so high that the machine could not even record the numbers. If this doesn't work, the only other option is euthanasia. Like I said, a year ago we could've started him on medication if this had been diagnosed. ???????? this is quite possibly the worst day of my entire life. Please pray for my baby Norman Francis Bridgman.

Veterinary service is a relationship. I start with a reasonable price and see where it goes. That is how I started with Bill Henderson and Parkway Pet about 20 years ago. I have brought several dogs in over the years including a 3 year old Westie for knee surgery last week. People these days sweat over every detail of how they are talked to and was the floor waxed, but I am interested in honesty, sincerity and skill, followed by price (I'm not crazy you know.) They do a great job. Decades of experience and the latest training are a good and reasonable combination. Practicality is important. So do they do the right thing for your dog and you? And what's the relationship like over time that counts... If you want to get ripped off go to a store chain or some other vets I have been to and see how inflated your bill can be for stupid barrier charges or padding. (Drake, for example, charged me for a tonopen test and x-rays on a dog with hypothermia, cheating me.) I have liked Parkway over the years and likely will for more to come, despite being a 30 minute drive to get there. These are people who do this because they want to. That's worth going out of your way for.
