PetSmart Encinitas, California

It was Christmas Eve between 4:00 and 5:00. The store was not very crowded, but the line to cash out was very long with only one cashier working. The employee helping us get our fish was very knowledgeable and very quick. As soon as he was done helping us, he went and opened another cashier lane. Soon three lanes were open. I think that the staff is very conscientious. They saw the line of customers and immediately went to take care of them. They take the time to talk to you about what you are buying and help you with advice. They never make you feel like you're bothering them! Very nice staff.

They had what I wanted right when I walked in. Staff was very friendly.

Great Pet Smart location. Took great care of our puppy and have a huge selection of pet supplies, to include Halloween costumes for pets. Will definitely be back! Our pup is so excited to go to day camp as you can see. Tabitha and Jessica take such good care of us (employee of thr month material!) and Finn, he can't wait to go back. We look forward to their holiday themed events!

They always take such good care of my boy at doggie day camp. He always runs to the back of the store in anticipation of a new day of fun.

Thank you to Tabatha & all the daycare employees at Petsmart hotel! This location is so much better than El Cajon & La Jolla! This location will become our reoccurring destination anytime we are in San Diego, it’s so worth the 30 min drive! The pups had a blast! The employees were very sweet when we asked if they could take pics or videos of our pups playing for our special needs son like the Petsmart back home does, El Cajon location refused to. My husband and I felt very safe leaving our three pups in their care & they had the time of their lives as they came home so tired! Thank you from Laveau, Luxor & Rhiannon! See you next year!

Terrrrrible service. I don't know why I keep calling back here when the associates are so cold and never apologize for their impossibly long hold times, and half the time they don't answer anyway. Do NOT bother with their reservations line, you'll be on hold for just the terminal sake of it, and half the time the calls made by the pet owner get disconnected. Go to a BUSINESS that respects you. If you need services for your pets go elsewhere. In my experience they "will do anything for pets" but not for their owners. I couldn't believe they didn't even answer the phone, and how many times? Do not bother with their call center either as you'll be lied to about the length of the hold time and after a half hour of waiting they will disconnect you. And they're already booked up for Christmas in a month so don't even bother with that either. Really? I feel like both the associates at this location and the majority of the reps at their reservation center just don't care. And yes, they will lie about the expected hold time and after you've been panicking 30 minutes the call will drop. Thanks a lot, petsmart people. I really felt humored and kicked to the curb by the associates at this location. Where's the love? They, I hope, offer better to my pets. I lose trust in this company by the wasted second.They never apologize and never change.One gets tired of paying their last dollar to be treated like garbage. There might be a caring PetSmart location but I just don't come away with any joy that this is one of them. You just can't leave a customer waiting that long. I can't count how many hours I have WASTED on being slurred at, lied to, ignored. You there, PetSmart?

So good. The young men who work there were beyond helpful, caring and considerate. I'd say they went the extra mile in customer service.

The cats! I totally love to see the cats they have for adoption there and I hope they find a forever home soon! They ate adorable!

They say that they're understaffed, hiring, and having their job fair but nobody's there. Show up for your job interview and nobody's there to meet you for it and you can't find the store manager. By then you're late so what's the point? Huge waste of time, dedication, optimism and expensive fuel. Plan ahead for an extra 15 minutes in case it takes longer than that to chase an associate down."' Oh well.'" No wonder they can't find employees and the place is a ghost town. Call ahead and make sure they meet you at the door otherwise its pointless. I will never apply with this company again, because it doesn't seem to be an actual opportunity. Its just as well because I wouldn't trust them to value me as a worker. There was another PetSmart I went to for a so called job fair and invited directly by the manager, but when I got there the store was closed; they saw me and they wouldn't even open the door. This time it was worse.Hello?! The SM didn't even follow up with me, I was there!

All the options, they even have a dog spa. However, my canine is not smarter.

Overall clean store and friendly staff. It is Encinitas though, so a lot of Karen shoppers. feel bad for the staff with how many botoxed things go in there. Maybe go to Oceanside locations.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Even if they're not very knowledgeable about some of the products, they do their best to help and look up information to help you. Store is clean, kinda a warehouse feel. And as an animal activist I do not agree with chains like this having live animals. Especially with how irresponsible this one as well as petco can be. However, I can see them doing their best to care for them and being genuine. Even if some of them are in poor health, but I don't think staff knows that, not to my knowledge at least.

They really know their fish!

I always get my cat's need in there,great prices huge inventory. We have fishes to so once in while get new decorations and filters.

Good pet hotel...little pricey per pet day. Would be better if gave discount after 5 or 6 nights

We've been bringing our dog to the Encinitas pets hotel since he was a puppy. He always receives top quality care and the staff is phenomenal. We won't bring him anywhere else.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

First time using their grooming service and even tipped Gloria because my dog looked so fluffy, well upon further examination didn’t seem like a thorough wash and since your not able to actually see them groom your pet; I think they actually did a dry shampoo, because the next day my dog stunk! She smells so bad now and her ears do not look clean at all! Beware I would not recommend this location especially be used the cost are higher here in Encinitas oh and btw Charlie the cashier is rude!

I gave one star because I couldn’t go any lower the pet hotel leader treated my dog like garbage today. We dropped him off with no problems only to receive a phone call almost 5 hours later from Jill saying that my dog isn’t allowed to participate in the day camp because of how he looks. And when I called the store manager he gave me bs reasons as to why he was identified as a pit bull and not the mastiff lab mix that he is. My dog was covered in urine when I picked him up and when questioned the manager said that they should have done a better job looking after my dog. This is a place that I thought I could trust to take care of and watch over my dog not just lock him in a cage, I will not be using any service or products from pets mart again.

Please support this business instead buy stuffs from Amazon that you get service from PetSmart with grooming care and vet.

The manager of this location, Charlie, was exceptional during our visit. We made advance reservations for the day care facility and, unfortunately, encountered a snafu. In my attempt to find a resolution, I was able to speak to Charlie and from that point on the experience was nothing short of impressive. He showed empathy for our situation and made not one but 3 attempts to help us find a solution. I can't say how thankful and relieved I was for Charlie's help. Add to that, Sedina in the grooming salon is just wonderful as well. That's how you not only keep customers, but also earn new ones. I only regret that we are out of towners and won't be able to visit his store as often as Charlie and Sedina deserve.
