Wow, we had such an amazing experience at PC Vet Dentistry. Our cat broke his jaw on a Sunday evening and they were able to fit him in to be seen on Monday morning. Dr. Cantin was thorough, kind, and took a lot of time with us to explain what was going on and how they might help our cat. They fit him in to have a repair procedure that day, and they were communicative the entire time. The procedure went smooth, and they even stayed after well hours (both receptionists and Dr. Cantin). They even sent us photos of his repair and the x-rays. They called the next day to check on his healing and to schedule the follow up appointments. Our cat is healing great and we feel confident in his at-home care because they took such care with explaining what we needed to do to help him heal and eat. Overall, while dental surgery is never cheap, I feel we got every dollar's worth of exceptional medical care for our guy. 10/10 will be returning for his routine dental care.

I don't ever write reviews- but I had the best experience at Pacific Coast Veterinary Dentistry that I just had to share. My hope for the future is that all Veterinary offices become more like this one! The entire staff showed the utmost care and compassion. I was VERY nervous and stressed to have my pup undergo surgery but upon stepping foot in the door, I was beyond impressed and comforted knowing this is the best of the best. Dr Brigden took the time to sit with me and help me understand the procedure and even spent a moment petting my pup to make her feel more comfortable. I never felt rushed even though I am sure they were beyond busy. He is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and kind. Thank you Pacific Coast Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery for being the special place that you are!

Went in for a $99 referral. The quote I was given was over $1000 for a teeth cleaning. The decor of the office was nice, but the environment wasn't very friendly (according to my dog). At our regular vet they give her treats to let her know it's ok, here they did not until I suggested doing so to get her to stop growling. The Vet was knowledgeable, but didn't seem more so than any other vet I've been to. Ultimately, I wish I hadn't wasted my time and money driving out here because I'll be sticking with my usual vet.

Just had a very difficult appointment at Pac Coast Vet. Found out my 14 year old pup has only a couple months left to live. My heart is breaking :( But the doctor I met with could not have been kinder and I am so grateful to him. He met with me IN PERSON, took a huge amount of time with me, explained my options thoroughly, and gave me logical, honest advice. This is the 4th vet I have been to in the past year. No other vet (or office staff) has been this considerate and kind to me. The receptionist was an absolute pleasure both on the phone and in person. This is an amazing office. I can't speak highly enough about them. I feel terrible that I can't remember the name of the doctor I saw. I hope he knows how wonderful he is!!!!!!!!

Very thorough and caring vets, I highly recommend them. My cat had a difficult extraction done and they went over everything carefully and explained the procedure beforehand.

This review for Pacific Coast Veterinary Dentistry is overdue. I wanted to say how grateful I am for the expedient care my dog Zena got here. Thank you so much for helping us schedule an appointment as quickly as possible. My time at Butterfield Animal Hospital has made me realize how important it is to not take chances when our pets get injured. I'm so incredibly relieved that my sweet girl will not need a tooth removal or a crown. All I can express in appreciation is my gratitude and continued business. In the future, we intend to take all our speciality pet dentistry needs here. I hope this review helps other people to make the best choice for their beloved pets.

This place is a breath of fresh air! I took my pup here for a dental cleaning with Dr. Allison Woody and I am so glad I did. I have never met a team with such care and passion. They really make a huge effort into educating you on the procedure and how to care for your pet’s teeth at home. My pup’s teeth and gums have never looked so good!

I am so happy that I decided to bring my cat here! My coworker had nothing but amazing things to say about them when she brought her husky for oral surgery so I decided to bring my 7-year-old Balinese cat here for her first dental. I noticed she had chipped one of her canine teeth, so I wanted to have it evaluated by a specialist. Dr. Cantin was very thorough in explaining everything that he found during the consultation and the procedure itself. He answered all of my questions in a clear and concise way. All of the staff was calm, friendly, and professional which helped put me at ease leaving her with them (she can be really shy). The cost was very reasonable and my final bill ended up being well within the estimate that they provided, even towards the lower end which I really appreciate. Along with detailed discharge instructions they sent me before and after pictures and her teeth look fantastic. Her appetite was back the same night and the next day she is back to normal. I am so relieved that my little girl is recovering well, and I hope that I can bring her here in the future! I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for top-notch veterinary dental care.

This hospital is phenomenal! My dogs teeth have never looked so good, everything was explained in amazing detail, and all my questions were answered. I was so nervous going into my dog's root canal and cleaning visit, but from the intake nurses, all the way to the doctors, I was made to feel so comfortable. I am so happy, and so excited that my pup won't have dental pain anymore!

After a year of misdiagnoses from general practitioners, we were finally referred to Pacific Coast Veterinary Dentist. The doctors and assistants treated our buddy with the most GENTLE respect we have experienced (other vets were rough). They positively fawned over him and their expertise ensured they knew his real condition. On the plus side, their services are much more AFFORDABLE than what is quoted by corporate vets, like VCA. We are extremely happy with the treatment received and trust our young cat will live many more years free of pain thanks to Pacific Coast Veterinary Dentistry.

Dr. Bergen is very compassionate. He sat in the floor with our dog just to calm him and he was very easy to examine afterwards. He kept in touch during the procedure, root canal, and explained everything very well, when I picked up Tanner.

Dr. Brigden is a very caring and thorough veterinary dentist. I am so glad I made the decision to have Dr. Brigden treat my fragile senior peke. Everything went well with surgery. My lil' peke has been recovering satisfactory at home. Cost was reasonable compared to other veterinary dentists in Southern California. Support staff was welcoming and cordial. The four-hour round trip proved worthwhile.

I have a dental background and I highly recommend this office. The doctors are true specialists with outstanding diagnostic and surgical ability. The staff is kind, compassionate, and professional. We had a serious situation with one of our cats and they handled it with honesty, detailed information, and compassionate care. I asked to see the x-ray and the doctor discussed it with me in detail. I'm grateful to have found this office and grateful for the gentle care they provided our pet.

Very caring doctors and staff. From our first call with the staff we could feel how concerned and careful they would be and eventualy they were with our dog. So thankful for the referral. Our dog now has a chance to live reasonably pain free, he has other health issues, but now his mouth will be healthy and Happy!

Dr. Brigden and his staff are very thorough, highly competent and compassionate. Explanation of exam results and surgery results were very understandable. The office is impeccably clean and its atmosphere is zen. I live out of area and was referred by our personal vet. The 50+ mile drive was more than worth it for the level of care my cat, Waldo, received.

I am a nervous mom of two senior furry babies. Both of which were rescues that had extensive dental problems. Sadie, a doxie chihuahua mix was skittish of the regular vet visits but Dr. Brigden won her over. His gentle demeanor made Sadie relax and put me at ease as well. Even though Sadie had a lot of rotten teeth extracted, she healed quickly and was back to her normal happy self in less than a week! Dr. Brigden is a skilled dental surgeon who I had complete confidence in. My girl is 14 years old and I never once worried about anesthesia or after care. I also brought in Ashley, a beagle Pekingese mix, 3 weeks later. I received a discount for our second dog cleaning and was happy to find out her teeth were not as bad as Sadie’s. Dr.Brigden is honest and shows compassion for not only our furry babies but our finances as well! He is professional, but friendly and doesn’t rush you or make you feel unimportant. He’s patient and answers all my questions and really put my worries to ease. While the teeth cleaning may be more expensive than other vets, he keeps you notified before he completes the cleaning so you know exactly what needs to be done. And you can come in for an initial visit and have the cleaning done that same time! I loved that because it meant our girls didn’t sit in a cage all day waiting their turn. This office is run perfectly with the nicest most considerate front desk people I have ever dealt with. And they give you an update call during the procedure and give you a expected time for pick up. I’m so glad we went with Pacific Coast Veterinary instead of our regular Vet for the cleanings. The pricing was too open ended and left me feeling uneasy with our own Vet but with Dr. Brigden I knew exactly what needed to be done. And he will try to save teeth if he can. He loves animals and loves his job. It is so apparent and comforting to know your furry baby is in good hands. And the procedure was quick and done in no time. Our dogs are very happy now and back to their energetic selves! Thank you Dr. Brigden and staff!

Love Dr. Woody, receptionists, Russell and vet techs! They understand that spending 2 minutes petting the dog BEFORE leading the dog to the procedure makes EVERYTHING SO much better for the procedure! Dr Woody was excellent, thorough and SO loving to our sweet boy who was in pain and needed a tooth extraction. We were very nervous because prior to this visit, at another vet hospital, our dog had a hard time coming out of anesthesia. Let me tell you, Dr Woody, and the staff were on it and had a plan!!! Dr Woody cleverly used a reversal to the anesthesia as soon as possible and our boy was just fine! Dr Woody and staff kept us updated on his progress and were SO kind! Dr Brigden also checked in with us when we arrived and during the wait for our dog. Thank you!!! Your excellent reputation is SO well deserved!!! Teddy and family

Puppy fractured his jaw and broke his tooth. Staff was incredibly nice and great at handling my dog, who is very people shy. They fixed him up and now you cant even tell he was broken.

Many of you will agree with the statement that your family pet is part of the family. Sadly, my dog has cancer in her mouth. I went to my regular Vet. They did a biopsy which confirmed their diagnosis. They recommended a general surgeon do the surgery. They have one who comes in and does the surgery at their facility. I decided to get a second opinion and I am so glad I did! The second vet said he didn't feel comfortable doing the surgery and recommended that I have a Board Certified Oral Surgeon do the surgery instead of a general surgeon. It made complete sense. If the patient was a human, you wouldn't go to a general surgeon to have your wisdom teeth pulled out - you would go to an Oral Surgeon. You would also only want to go to someone who was Board Certified. Apparently, there are only two Veterinarians in San DIego that are Board Certified in Dentistry and Oral Surgery. I researched it and decided to go with Dr. Glenn Brigden. His training included attending Kansas State University Veterinary School and then completing a three year dental residency at the Animal Dental Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He was trained in all the latest techniques. The surgery went great and my dog recovered perfectly. There wasn't a single complication and she actually recovered faster than expected. He is such a nice doctor and really cares about his patients. Instead of having a receptionist call, he personally called me three times since the surgery to check on my dog! I highly recommend Dr. Brigden. I am so glad I went to a specialist instead of a general surgeon. I got great results and it ended up being significantly cheaper than having a general surgeon do it! I saved money by bringing my dog to Pacific Coast Dentistry and Oral Surgery center rather than paying for a surgeon, who didn't even have the same level of training, to drive to my regular vet . On top of surgeon fee, I would have had to pay my regular vet fees to use their facility. I hope your animal never needs mouth surgery but if they do, go to a specialist and save yourself a lot of grief.
