The only place I feel comfortable leaving my cats. They have ample room to lounge around with other cats, along with their own personal space. High quality care is given.

This place is the best! Cats roaming in peace and harmony. I really don't know how they do it. My cat always comes back relaxed and happy. We've been going for a few years now and will continue to!

I really enjoyed using Cat-Villa to board our cat. It was important to me to find a place that really focused on cats so I knew my Benny would have more than just 24 hours stuck in a small box. They have individuals cubbies for sleeping and eating and then a large screened in indoor-outdoor enclosure with tons of places for cats to lay around all day, toys for them, and mental stimulation. Booking/check in and out was super easy, the boarding facilities were kept very clean, and the owners/staff are very loving to the cats. Staff sent photos and text update too. I highly recommend Cat-Villa. You will rest easy knowing your cat is in good hands and enjoying themselves.

Great place for cats, got picture and text update, as well as a giod price. My cat was calm all the way back home. Owner is friendly and patient with the cats. The space is great and thaere is a lot for cats to explore

Lance is the best and so kind. Leaving our cat at Catvilla for a couple of weeks of travel was such a huge peace of mind. Highly recommend this place!

We had a great experience boarding our cat here last week! We have never boarded any pets before, but after my parents recommended them I thought it sounded like a great option. It is a very cozy atmosphere. I love that the kitties get to roam around & be in an enclosed patio. It’s probably the most comfortable they could be while away from home. I found the rates to be really reasonable as well & the peace of mind was worth it. We will definitely use them again in the future!

Our first boarding experience for our rescue fur baby. We weren't sure how she would react around other cats but they all get along so great! Lance & his sister really know their way around the feline world! It's so calm and beautiful and clean (no smell at all). Sophie was so happy there! Thank you again Cat Villa for taking such great care of her!

Loved this place! Definitely recommend to anyone looking to leave their cat with someone trustworthy. They care for all the cats there and it's a very open happy place for the cats. The vibe is very "Zen".

Excellent facility with caring staff. Lance and his team took great care of my girls while I was away for the holidays, and I have already booked with them again for this summer! Would highly recommend to any other cat lovers who are wary of other facilities which keep cats in cages or tiny closet-like rooms, as at Cat Villa the cats can move around as they please through the facility at all times. 10/10 :)

Perfect place for cat. We love it!

We boarded our two cats here for 13 nights (was supposed to be 12 but we had a flight cancellation). On dropoff, we had them in their harnesses for transport and were able to remove one harness, but the other cat was very frightened at the new environment and we couldn't remove hers. Lance assured us that he would remove her harness later that day, so we left her wearing it. We picked up our cats this morning and found that the one cat's harness had NOT been removed for the entire two weeks and had tangled around her, tying her front legs together. She has lost a lot of weight and appeared to have been unable to move due to the tangled harness. Her legs and chest have been rubbed raw and bleeding in several places by the harness because of the way it was tangled and her chewing at it to try to get it off. When we emailed Lance to notify him of our flight cancellation, he confirmed with us that our cats were okay, but the one cat was shy and hadn't come out of her condo much - which we now realize is probably because she couldn't move enough to jump down without causing further pain. We have made an appointment with our vet to check out both of our cats after this ordeal and have the one cat's injuries treated. The vet informed us that harnesses and collars are one of the first and most frequently checked things for any animal because of the danger they can pose. Admittedly, we should have removed our cat's harness when we dropped her off, but we trusted Lance to be capable of doing this once she had calmed down. It seems minor after all this, but the one item we left with our cats - a fuzzy blanket that they love to sleep on - was removed from their "condo" at some point during their stay, and they were left with a smaller and unfamiliar blanket. We didn't ask about this at the time (we were too concerned with the cat having been tangled up for two weeks) but it seems like such a strange thing that must have made their already stressful stay just a little bit worse. We will never be taking our cats back to this facility and we urge anyone to be cautious about boarding your cats here. Edit in response to the business owner: As stated in the review, we were assured by Lance that the harness would be removed. We received NO updates throughout our cats' stay aside from when we had to email to notify of our later pickup, so we were entirely unaware of any issues. Every cat boarding facility I have used before has employed different tactics to handle aggressive cats - which I will add, Eowyn is not, as our vet and everyone else has been able to handle her easily - everywhere from a calmer approach to using oven mitts for protection. We have the reasonable expectation that the owners of a cat boarding facility are able to handle cats, and should know the dangers of leaving a harness on for such an extended period. We are shocked at the treatment of Eowyn and stand by our review. We strongly suggest that you take your cats elsewhere for boarding.

This place is amazing! My cats were here for just over two weeks and I was confident that they were safe and comfortable. The owners are very sweet and will happily send you updates about your cats if you'd like. I didn't want them to just be in a small space the whole time so this was the perfect space to allow them to roam around but also have places to hide/be together when they didn't feel like socializing. The rate is very decent for what you get. I will definitely be using them again!!! Highly recommend!

I actually have Ave never been to this place . There was a mistake in the fact that my ex had ahold of my account . I'm just now seeing this I haven't been into this account for some time and I don't want to give anybody any bad reviews they don't deserve so looks like it's a great place my cat just died due to my roommate failing to watch him when I went for biopsy he was my best friend he litterally saved my life from the ex that was in my account I miss him daily . Wish I would known woulda brought him to u maybe. Sorry about the one star before

Cash and Lance at The Cat Villa have taken care of our sweet boy, Darius, for at least a dozen times. If you care about your cat and want them to be in a loving and fun environment while you are away, this is the place. I have never seen cats that don't know each other get along so well and I can only attribute it to how Cash and Lance are with them and the beautiful space they provide. Each cat has their own kitty condo that they can retreat to if they want and plenty of hidden nooks to take a snooze. Our cat has gotten to the point where he no longer minds being put in his kitty carrier as he knows he has a short car ride to visit his friends over at the Cat Villa. On our cat's last visit, we received a call that our cat had some swelling and needed to be seen by a Vet. Long story short, Cash and Lance were amazing every step of the way - keeping in contact with us and making sure we knew how our cat was doing. We are so grateful that they were with him and able to get him the care he needed (surgery) before things got worse and that he was well on his way to feeling back to his old self by the time we got back in town and picked him up. What more could we ever ask for? This place is fantastic - look no further.

Our cat, Cyrano, is 15 years old and was recently diagnosed with kidney problems which required a special diet. We felt uncomfortable leaving him at home when we went on vacation (which is what we've always done) so we were so happy to find out about Cat Villa. Cash met me for a visit to tour the cattery and instantly put me at ease about boarding my cat for the first time in his life. It is a very nice space with plenty of room for our cat. When we dropped off Cyrano, he seemed to settle in quickly. We got daily updates from Cash with photos of our cat enjoying himself. It was very reassuring to have Cash keeping an eye on Cyrano and helping keep him on his special diet. We will definitely board at Cat Villa in the future for any other trips we are going to take. If you need a place to board your cat, I highly recommend Cat Villa.

We just brought our cat Sasha home after a 3 day stay at Cat-Villa in Encinitas. WOW...what a GREAT experience for us and our cat. Cat-Villa is an incredible facility that is totally focused on cats. They offer very personalized service and limit the number of cats to around 10, at any one time. The cats can play in the free zone or retire to their Cat Cubby's, all the while looking out over a beautiful garden and watching birds or fish on their dedicated flat screen TV! Cash, Lance and Debbie run this as a very professional business.... but they obviously REALLY love cats. If you are looking for a cat boarding facility anywhere near Encinitas and want the ABSOLUTE best for your cat....at a very reasonable price.... then you must consider Cat-Villa.... they are simply the BEST of the BEST!!!
