Dr. Byam has taken care of our dogs since her clinic first opened and we have always been pleased with the care her team provides. You can tell she truly loves dogs. She listens carefully and answers all my questions. We're glad to have her to help us keep our fourth dog as healthy, happy and long-lived as our first three. Our Golden Retriever, Presley made it to 14.75 years and we hope our Labrador, Nala, will do the same. Thank you Dr. Byam.

Our dog loves visiting her doctor and the staff is always so nice. They help you quickly and answer all questions adequately. The doctors also give good advice and different options for medications your dog may need. Best clinic we’ve been to.

They are the absolute best! Dr. Kelly and her team genuinely care about our fur babies. We can never repay them for all the love they have given them. Sixteen years of loving care for our three cats. We recently lost one of them and they treated us with great kindness when we called for information on our options. Dr Byam and her staff have never made us feel rushed, and we have always left feeling well-informed about the well-being of our pets. Update: We recently lost our third and last cat at just short of eighteen years. Dr. Byam and her staff were very kind when he started failing rapidly and we had to bring him in to put him to sleep to put him out of pain. A few months later we decided to adopt a neighborhood cat who decided to take up residence on our front porch. He wasn't happy being picked up or riding in the car but Dr. Byam's Team dealt with all 17+ pounds of uncooperative cat with their usual expertise. I highly recommend this Vet Practice.

I'm from out of town and found a bump on my boy. The clinic got me in, same day I called, took a biopsy and had a plan for removal before leaving! Very reasonably priced, friendly with my large dog. We are so grateful. See you in January!

We always get good care for our dogs from everyone at Abel Pet Clinic. They really care about their patients and I have recommended to others.

Our first visit with our new puppy was a great experience. All the staff and Dr. Byam were awesome. They took the time to answer all our questions and concerns.

Abel Pet Clinic is the best vet. They're all so sweet and accommodating and treat our pets like their own.

It's a great vet for very simple things but if it's something more serious I would go to a different vet. If you do go to them with something serious they will just send you to emergency and in my case a misdiagnosis that could have cost my dog her life and thousands of dollars.

When our cat was loosing weight and vomiting, we brought her in to see Dr. Byam and Dr. Anderson. She later was diagnosed with a tumor in her intestines. Was referred out to a specials to deal with it (She still alive after surgery). But the care she received was exceptional, now we take both cats to Abel Pet Clinic.

Dr. Byam has cared for 2 of my dogs and my parent's dog. She is experienced, caring and capable. She knows our animals are part of the family and has kept them healthy with the best of care.

Everyone there is very kind and understanding. My dog, Milo, has a hard time getting used to new places and people, so they were patient with him.

The people here are amazing. Got us in for an emergency. Buddy was fixed up as much possible, and home again within an hour and a half.

Before receiving a bill for $400, I was told my dog was testing positive for a disease which she had been vaccinated against. I was also told she needed immediate attention or might not make it. Something told me this just was not correct. The next morning I took my dog to our old vet. 30 miles away to be told that the blood tests taken the day before looked incorrect and my dog did not have the dreaded disease. After a physical exam I was told she had swallowed a rock that was blocking her food and water intake. The problem was solved. I paid $400 for nothing. I am staying with my old vet, even though I have to drive to get there!

We have utilized Abel Pet Clinic ever since we moved to Elk Grove in 1998. We came clients because I am a UCDavis graduate and Dr. Bynam (also being a UCDavis graduate) offered a discount. That being said, we have not been disappointed in the service. Abel Pet Clinic personnel are compassionate and very knowledgeable. Abel Pet Clinic has taken very good care of all of my pets and I am very well pleased.

The principle of this clinic, Kelly Byam, could not be more professional or compassionate. She is a wealth of knowledge and prides herself in providing care and attention above and beyond the call of duty to her clients. She is well known for her support of rescue pets and has several of her own. Highly recommended!

I have been a client of Abel Pet Clinic for over twelve years. The vets at Abel Pet Clinic are excellent diagnosticians and the staff goes above and beyond with the compassionate care. From the first visit, until the final visit, the doctors and staff have given my pets the very best care.

I took a kitten that I'd found while out jogging to see them to make sure she wasn't sick with anything, as she'd clearly been abandoned quite young. Usually, I'd go to a different (MUCH BETTER) vet, but they were booked up, and I wanted to have her tested before exposing her to my other cats. The appointment itself was okay, although they're sending me spam after I checked the box on the intake form telling them not to. The real problem surfaced later when I realized that the kitten had ringworm. The signs were there when we took her in, so I asked them to check for it. When they brought her back out and said she was healthy, I assumed that they'd checked everything, including that. Young kittens are really susceptible to ringworm, so I shouldn't even have had to point it out. I can assume that my usual vet, who's very diligent, will do his job, so I didn't think to triple check. This one? Not so much. Now my whole household has it, and it's spread everywhere. We'll have to be treated, we'll have to get the cats treated, and we'll have to deep clean the house. In addition, I'll have to get all the tests the Abel clinic SAYS they did redone at my usual vet, because i don't trust any of the results now. Stay away. Stay far, far away.

Abel pet clinic is one of the best experiences I have had with my dogs. The entire staff is loving and caring and Dr. Byam is just terrific. If you have a pet you should take it here!

All the people who work at Abel Pet Clinic, from Dr. Byam to ALL the staff, are wonderful, sweet, pet-loving human beings! Everyone cares and loves the animals as if they were the only patient. We are all treated with kindness and dignity. That's rare these days and it's very refreshing. Besides the top notch care, prices are fair and Dr. Byam won't do a procedure unless she thinks it really necessary. I am ALWAYS recommending Abel Pet Clinic. It is not in my neighborhood, but well worth the drive from East Sac knowing that i and my babies are in loving and good hands. Thank you to everyone at Abel Pet Clinic! You ALL are awesome.
