Bastet Veterinary Hospital El Cajon, California

Bastet is not all fancy and modern looking like some other vets but the quality of their knowledge and their customer service is better than those other guys at probably half or less than what the other guys charge. This is not to say that their office is old and run down either! Dollar for dollar and degree of proper customer service and quality of medical experience, beats the other guys hands down! I thank Bastet for continuing to be the type of vet that my fur babies deserve and want I insist on!

I brought my 11 year old pet to you a month ago. I trusted you with their care. You told me you would call with the blood results. You did not. I had to contact YOU 4 times before I could get you on the phone. You told me some specific food could help my dog. It wasn't until he got worse did I find out the real results from that blood work that you did not tell me. I had to find out from another vet hospital that you KNEW the results from the blood work. You KNEW what meds he needed to be on and you did nothing. There are multiple things you failed to relay to me. I am now having to put my dog down because you DID NOTHING TO HELP HIM!!

Performed a procedure without explaining the risks that it involved. My dog died because of this procedure. They showed very little remorse . Have tried to put this behind us and move on, but their lack of customer service is prolonging our loss and pain.. will never use this vet again. Having to make multiple request for insurance information and test results. Very unprofessional. Thanks Kathy.

They did a great job with my little man for his neuter and I'm so happy with how well everything was handled and explained. Will definitely recommend for neuter and spay services to others looking in the future.

Some lady came up to me at petco and referred this place as a low budget alternative, and told me it would only be a small fee..... Sounded great, but my neighbor said she had a bad experience there and lost her dog due to negligence. So when they wouldnt allow me to go in the back w my dog ( who has panic attacks when im not around him), that was enough. You shouldn't be working in the pet industry if youre not sympathetic to the needs ofl pets or their owners.

Well this place only cares about money they don’t care about the pet it is true. When I first time there the old lady told me by my car, wasn’t believe it, now I really do. Trying find whatever the way to make extra charges. So done with them.

I felt good about this place. I took my cat small fry 1st for a coyote bite. They did great. Then to get him spayed he did great. Would highly recommend this place. Thank you everyone at Bastet vet hospital

This clinic was recommended by a friend, I had no issues with our current vets office. The lack of being able to make an appointment for regular check ups and care visits was the biggest down side. Walk in clinics are nice when you need to be seen immediately for any number of reasons. But being able to book an appointment and have a set time frame to be seen and everything addressed is something I can appreciate. I am happy I made the appointment and decided to take our friends advice. The staff was very friendly and we were seen promptly after checking in. My list of concerns and the things I wanted double checked were addressed by the staff. I was given the list of suggested treatment options and provided with a price for treatment that was fair in my opinion. When we left the office we had a treatment plan with a follow up appointment already scheduled.

i have faith in this place, and the doctors. Dr.Savides is an excellent surgeon who removed an eye tumor and is SO diligent about giving very professional care. And then a couple days later, i was so worried and i drove there and the other Dr. Girgis, took time to actually walk out to my car to LOOK AT my dogs eye and give me peace of mind about it all. I was able to have him clean my dogs eye off, and reassure me/subscribing an eyedrop, etc. Very attentive and kind. I'd definitely recommend this place. Real people, they dont just treat you like a 'customer'. They care.

I have a new puppy and Bastet veterinary has been doing all the necessary things a puppy needs. They spayed her and that really went well. Then she needed her puppy booster. they took care of that too. all of this was reasonably priced. The Dr. are all so nice, I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks to all at Bastet.

I've been taking my dogs and cats here for years. But they don't take walk in's anymore so I had to make an appointment and the soonest I could get an appointment was two weeks out. Well it's been two weeks and yesterday Kathy (office manager) left a message on my home answering machine to say she needed to cancel my dogs appointment and reschedule. I work during the day so I didn't hear the message until I got home after 5 pm and they close at 5pm. They never bothered to call my cell phone which is also on file. I called them back in the morning and Kathy wanted me to wait another week to get my dog seen. I explained to her how long we waited for my dog to be seen and she responded rudely by saying "well if you would have called back yesterday we could have seen him yesterday". I couldn't believe she responded that way to me, I told her she had my cellphone on file why didn't she call my cellphone. I told her if I had to wait another week to just cancel everything and I will not be bringing any of my pets back to their office again! She said "okay that's fine. " No apologies, no nothing, just rudeness. Great customer service Kathy! Never again.

We received excellent service when we took our dog to be neutered. The staff are caring, professional, efficient and friendly. They also provide lower rates than our previous vet. We are extremely pleased with Bastet Veterinary Hospital. We highly recommend them.

This was our first experience with this veterinary hospital that was much closer than our usual vet. They did a great job with our puppy's surgery. Their staff is very professional and provided thorough instructions. We will continue taking Rex back for his regular check-up and care.

Dr Moses is an excellent vet. Unfortunately, his Manager is the real shotcaller. She has the authority to break his promises, which she does, with impunity. She is an unprofessional, poorly skilled curb creature who is a detriment to Dr Moses reputation and dangerous to the animals under his care.

This is my 2nd time here for my cat to get his yearly shots and just like last year the staff is very friendly and easy to talk to and the prices are fare. I will definitely recommend bastet to anyone who has a pet. My cat "tom" ???? and I thank you guys for your great service.

It feels like family, from the initial contact all the way through the follow up. They build a relationship with not only my dogs but with me too. I won’t go anywhere else.

First time ever to this vet and they knocked it out of the park! It was my pups first time being to the vet in a couple of years so I was nervous to see how he would react but the vet tech and the doctor made sure he felt comfortable with them gave him lots of treats and love. The Doctor was incredibly helpful telling me what I could do for my pups leg that had been hurting. Very professional. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new vet! They won’t push any of the extra fees medicine etc that they don’t feel is absolutely necessary for your pups health. They have my pups and mines trust which is huge! He got his rabies shot and didn’t even flinch when the tech gave it to him I think that says a lot! Thanks so much for your wonderful customer service!

I took my chihuahua for dental cleaning. It was a good experience for the both of us.The staff here is great, friendly, outgoing, and very professional. The prices here were affordable as well...I will definitely recommend this place to anyone with pets!

Arrived a little early for my appointment and was in and out quickly, very friendly staff

Dr. G is a wealth of knowledge and so personable. Cathy checked in with me daily to make sure I didn't need any help and my doggies were doing great. Francine treats all dogs like they are her own. Fantastic vet office and you can really tell they care about your pups.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We adopted my cat from the street and thought he was a girl so we took him to get spayed and the vet didn’t find out he was a boy until after they had cut him open. As a vet they should’ve examined him before starting the procedure then when we went to pick him up they told us what happened and refused to give him back to us until we payed the fee. Extremely unprofessional and we are working on a lawsuit

This is the second time I have used Bastet Veterinary Hospital! Their technicians and staff are wonderful caring people. You can tell they all are animal lovers! This is very important to me. Everyone is kind and always helpful! They take the time to answer any questions and they take very good care of our fur babies! I highly recommend Bastet to anyone that thinks of their pets as a part of their family!

Great staff who really care about the animals they help. Dr. Gergis recently euthanized one of my senior foster dogs and gave him a very peaceful and painless passing.

After 3yrs in SD dealing with expensive vets and add on services, we finally found one that is AFFORDABLE and we trust to be thorough and recommend or do only what is necessary. Plus, they are super nice and always give our dog treats. We are so glad we found them and wish we found them sooner. Their Saturday vaccine clinic is so cheap (cash only, was $40 for 3 vaccines and no exam fee!), dental exam in Feb $300. We recommend them to all our friends with pets and they also take Pet Assure (25% off program for any service not already discounted)! Can't recommend their awesome staff and great prices enough!

We brought our little kitten here for neuter. They were kind, attentive, professional. Our little guy did very well with no complications. We also had him chipped while he was there. The office set everything up for us. All we had to do was login and select a password for our chip account. The office staff is really wonderful here. Mr Miyagi says thank you!
