Friendly staff; helped us shave our 22(!) year old cat, who can't take care of himself anymore, and had become all matted. Fairly expensive, but great result. Helpful calming medication. Thanks, guys!

We had an emergency visit earlier this month for our 15-year-old cat Jasper. Dr. Kim Nguyen and the entire Midtown team were so sweet and caring and compassionate during his stay. I know it was difficult squeezing him in that, but they still found time to check in with us throughout the day on his condition and prognosis. Dr. Nguyen talked us through all the options and was so empathetic about the difficult situation we were in. We ultimately said goodbye, but Dr. Nguyen made the process peaceful for both us and Jasper. We had another emergency visit a year ago (to the day... IDK what is wrong with our animals on November 9th...) for our kitten Miso. We worked with Dr. Regan for his broken leg surgery. She was also super kind and talked through all of his after care with us. She explained the rehab process in detail and checked in regularly for his aftercare (including on the weekends and after hours). Miso has made a full recovery and is a healthy happy adult cat now. Thank you to the entire team for all the work you do! I know our pets appreciate it!

This place is super. We take our AKC Champion there along with another dog we have. Best care and great follow up..

These are the MOST CARING, LOVING, WONDERFUL PEOPLE EVER!!! MY 15 yr old German shepard was brought to thim with maggot infested sores due to the sitters neglect I had left him with. They do not have overnight care but made the exception since I was out of state. Dr Regan nurtured him back but due to his age had to be put down since he could no longer walk. She kept me informed every day and in the end bought him an in and out burger before he was put down. She was so kind and compassionate I could not have hoped for him to be an better hands. THANK YOU!!!!

This is the vet hospital my mom used for her pets ... no more!!! Super expensive for the services and in a city that has an abundance of vets. It was approximately 3-4x expensive as vet services in Sacramento.

Hello, I would like to know if you guys take cats and I have a cat who's been throwing up but I’m not sure why and it is not like a hairball it's like either brow and chunky kinda pls pls pls tell me what to do.it is my first time and sorry I just gave 4 stars cause of the other end ole reviews but yea I'm going here tomorrow maybe if someone can respond pls help me ????????????????☹️

Vets and nurses were really kind. They helped me understand my dog's condition and gave me multiple options on how to proceed.

Update: I have had to change clinics. Appointment scheduling was taking too long, and the staff were no longer polite. I've moved to South Davis Vet Clinic. The vets here are so nice. They're thorough. I originally took my dog in for a cough and they found a kidney cyst. Great bedside manner in addition to their capability.

They've taken care of my kitties ever since I moved to Davis back in 2016. I've recently moved back to Sacramento but I refuse to go anywhere else because it's unlikely I will be treated as nicely and professional as these wonderful providers

Every person in this practice is so very considerate and caring! Every experience for our two fur babies has been fantastic! Their COVID precaution strategy works seamlessly too. We drive our pets from two towns away to stay with these wonderful doctors and staff!

Taking every good thing I said about this place! They are definitely not understanding and very difficult to work with. If you love your animal do not take it to this clinic. Just look at how many times I had to go to this clinic in one day to get my cat back healthy and not bleeding! PS: The worst part is my 10 pounds cat had to go through anesthesia twice in one day.

Best bet I have been to they are really nice and really care about your animals I have 2 cats and was moving to Hawaii and Ben was really knowledge in the whole process and handled everything really quickly and efficiently. Can't say this enough I love this place.

I’ve gone here for years, and it seems to have become more heartless than ever before. It used to be a pretty loving upbeat place full of honest and respectful people. Now it seems more like just a business, they want you in and out with as little contact time as possible while charging you as many things as possible even if not needed for your particular care situation. Specifically, my complaint is mostly for the receptionist Chantel, she was very rude, manipulative/condescending and empathy-less on the phone with me, both before and after I visited the vet most recently. I was snapped at to be louder and more clear with answering her question in between sobs and she was so shockingly rude and insensitive. Cut me off mid speech several times, lacking emotion and even with a snarky-ness to her tone. As if she went out of her way to try Her best to be harsh with me. I paid $200 for my dogs stomach to be palpated by the vets hand and for her to “chat” with the other vets and confirm that my dog likely had a UTI. Yet I was refused advice and answered questions over the phone w the vet before bringing him and paying $200 for this simple answer. I brought him as emergency, and you have to call when you arrive to have your dog picked up outside the office, after I called and was told someone would be right out for him, I was waiting 15 minutes outside in over 90 degrees with my dog that had a fever. I called following up a day later with concerns and questions about New symptoms, possible medication side effects, and was told by the vet that she was unsure of what it would mean And wasn’t sure if it’s medication effects but agreed that they are more severe symptoms and only offered me to bring him back for another emergency visit several times.

Such wonderful, loving care. HIGHLY recommend.

The folks here are lovely! Knowledgable, practical, patient and kind. We've brought in cats, dogs, and some exotics on occasion with lots of good experiences.

The reason I give them 5 stars is because google only allows a maximum of 5. They deserves A LOT MORE. We had a dog in Davis and we have to find someone living in northern California to send them back to Taiwan in mid June since we have to go back to Taiwan earlier. However, it is extremely difficult to make a confirmation of the flight due to COVID-19. We schedule the flight on 5/30 and the flight will leave on 6/3! Ben, the vet who take care of my dog, May, prepare all the documents from USDA and contact with the dog sitter IN TWO DAYS! He got the document required for May's trip at 7PM, four hours before the flight take off! It is hard to imagine if we cannot make it -- we are both in Taiwan at that time, and it would be extremely difficult to find someone else. At 5 PM, we almost want to forget this plan and think about the plan B. Ben wrote a mail to me at 7PM and he said that he check the USDA website every hour! Thanks Ben a lot, it is difficult for me to find a word to show my appreciation! (The photos show the dog in crate in SFO and the document prepare by Ben at 7PM, 4 hours before the plane take off!)

We recently had to put our sweet Bodi to sleep. Dr. Kim Nguyen and staff were so kind and understanding. Their compassion was very comforting during this time. Dr. Kim even took the time for a call at 9:30 P.M. the night before his passing to reassure us that it was time and a compassionate act of love. We were allowed to grieve for as long as we needed to say goodbye. We moved from Davis a few years ago. We returned for this event because we knew this was where we would get the greatest care and compassion for Bodi.

The veterinarians and staff here are wonderful, they make a sincere effort to meet both pet and owner needs. We have a variety of farm cats and dogs, and appreciate that those here understand some of the realities of animals 'with a job to do.' They have explained our options clearly, made sure we understood diagnoses and prognoses, and have gone out of their way to help us with scheduling because we live far away from Davis. I cannot recommend them enough!
