Amazing staff and friendly place to take my 3 dogs.

I’d give this store zero stars if I could. They treat the animals poorly. Last time I went in to the store I witnessed a groomer hitting and threatening a dog with a brush. I am disgusted and appalled. The owner did nothing to stop this behavior and insisted that it wasn’t an issue. Do not trust these people with your pets.

We have been taking our two small dogs to Pyrenees pets for almost two years, on a regular basis. We started noticing that they were really hesitant to go in the last couple of times but thought they just did not like being groomed. Well, as it turns out, about 2 months ago we had both dogs groomed and our older dog came home and was very uncomfortable, scratching his ears, shaking his head and whining for days on end. We took him to the vet, assuming he had an ear infection. The vet called us and said they found a large plug of cotton stuffed far down his ear canal that had to be extracted. We thought it was a simple oversight from the groomer (Pyrenees Pets) and didn't want to make a big deal of it. Well, took the dogs back this week and, well, our older dog (same dog) started showing the same discomfort. We got a flashlight and tweezers and sure enough, a giant wad of cotton was stuffed deep in his ear...AGAIN. Twice in a row? I called and was told all they could do is apologize and seemed not to really care or show any remorse. I am wondering if this is happening to other dogs as well, so am writing this in case someone is experiencing the same thing. BTW...no offer to "make it right" in any way. Clearly we will never use this business again.

A great, locally-owned/operated pet store and groomer. CoCo has been getting groomed for many years...always satisfied!

I have brought my dogs to Prynees Pets for almost 10 years. They do a fantastic job and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Literally the WORST grooming experience I have ever had! (And I’ve had my cat shaved at petsmart before and they did a better job and less expensive). If you value your pet do NOT bring it here! They asked how I’d like him shaved, I said lion cut. They asked how short to do his head and mane, I told them if you put a collar on him it would be everything below the collar on the back of the neck tapering into a “V” for his mane. They asked how high the leg hairs should be, I said to the knees. Also I asked them to trim his super fluffy tail. They did nothing with his tail, I went back to pick him up and he was patchy, and very uneven. The mane was basically his neck and shoulders with his entire front untouched AND it was crooked. They said he won’t sit still so it’s hard to judge if it’s straight...??? They had to take him back in 3 times to “fix” the poor cut. Then they called me back to make sure it was correct. When I went back the groomer had my cat by the throat, not the scruff and handled him very roughly. Didn’t seem to like his job or the animal he was grooming. Every time I tried to get him to smooth out the cut he went “oy yoi yoi” clearly not happy that I was telling him how to do his job. And then he grabbed him so hard around his throat I had to pry his hand away and asked him to stop strangling my cat!!! Seriously?! I had to ask that he treat a first time customers pet with care? EVERY pet should be handled with care and love. Also when I went back all I had to do was hold and rub his face and he didn’t move. So moving clearly wasn’t the issue. Then I had enough and said that’s good enough cause I didn’t want him handling my cat anymore but it’s still patchy and crooked ???? as I was about to leave I asked if they could give me back his thunder vest (sent back with him the first time) and I was made to feel like they questioned me about lying about not having pick that up already. Super poor customer service, mishandling of pets and rediculous excuses for everything!!! And at a cost of $95 I will happily take him elsewhere.

Toured the shop and groom area and had my Maltipoo groomed. They did a nice job and have a couple groomers always busy, so it's a professional no nonsense in and out convenient stop, but they do use crates for the doggies..

My cat is easily traumatized. She seemed to be very happy when I came to pick her up.

My appointment was made with Franciso. My dog was cut inconsistently with clipper marks all over my dog I said something the lady at the counter. She did offer to have my dog recut after she also saw the poor job that was done but my dog had already been there for several hours and I had already had appointments scheduled for rest the day so I was in able to do so. When I got home I noticed that my dogs ears had not been cleaned out he had a dirty water smell as if he was only cut and wipe down with a dirty cloth, he still had sleep in his eyes. There is no way that he was actually washed. The amount I paid $75, a small lesson to have to pay to learn not to ever go back there again or refer them to anyone. I had heard that a lady there is very good I originally had my appointment with her but there was some confusion and it was canceled and I was given Francisco and her replacement. I can only speak for the Dog Groomer that I had. I had thought about returning and having the lady cut my dog but the experience was just so disappointing I did not want to have it happen again .
