After a fecal test completed at Mesa west my dog tested positive for Giardia. However I just had surgery and am unable to drive to the vet clinic. When attempting to figure out how to get her prescription it became an impossible task. I reached out to other nearby vet clinics and all of them requested that Mesa West send over their prescription and Mesa West refused. Additionally, Mesa West refused to send the prescription to an online delivery service. The only thing Mesa West sent us were her test results, which are not enough for other veterinary clinics to complete a prescription. When asked their suggestion was that I drive post-surgery. When that was not an option they suggested I send my primarily caregiver. I used to travel an hour to Mesa west because I liked their service. I was committed to this pet hospital. However, upon telling me that my dog needs medications and I am in a situation where I cannot pick them up, they offered no solutions. After a year, they were willing to lose us as clients because I could not drive because I had literally just gotten out of surgery.

My pup has been seeing Dr. Lepera for over 4 years now. Dr. Lepera and her staff treat my pup as one of their own. They truly care about the animals seen here and always work with you to put the best plan together that works for you and your budget. My pup was very ill this weekend and Dr. Lepera made sure to see him first thing morning as know how urgently he needed to be seen and that means the world to me. THANK YOU! I wouldn’t take my pup to any other veterinary. I highly recommend her and her staff.

Prices are very good than I have seen around. I've been to at least 8 gets before I found her. Doc. Lepera is very knowledgeable and careful when examining. In the very first visit, she found something the previous vet missed just days before. The staff is great well.

Brought my dog in for a 9am dental cleaning and was not advised of the "first come first serve" order (why a 9a appointment?) and was told my pet would have to stay all day in a crate! Yikes. Done with Mesa West...

You'll never meet the same employee twice here. They treat your pet like they treat their employees.

We adopted a cat recently and he got sick. They took him in without an appointment and we didn't wait. The vet was very informative and gentle with my cat. You can tell he really loves his job and cares about the well being of the animal. Another thing I was impressed with is that there was no pressure to get excessive amount of treatment. They only recommended what they thought was absolutely needed to get him better, the rest they said we could consider if he didn't feel better in a few days (hospitalization, IV's, ect.) The pricing seemed fair as well. We will be back.

Went in as a first time patient for my kitten last week, he had a cold and needed antibiotics. Staff was totally inefficient. I waited 30 mins to be seen even though I had an appointment, the vet was not thorough and didn't explain what she was prescribing and just left immediately from the exam room with me out of the building to lunch. The vet assistants didn't know what to do so I waited another 30 mins just to get the prescription that she (supposedly?) had already written. There were three assistants and two people to take care of (that the vet was helping and bailed on) and they were pretty much incapable of helping the two of us check out at the same time. When I did get the medicine they gave me a random amount of antibiotics in a little disposable bottle and didn't even explain the directions for it. I paid for a weeks worth of medication but what I was provided was only enough for 3 days. The same man was the person who checked me in, weighed my kitten in the exam room and acted as the pharmacist. He was apologetic about the wait and was a nice guy, but there are some serious problems with the management of this facility. The vet left the building...leaving two patients and the rest of the staff confused about what to do next..Their files are all paper I didn't even see a computer behind the desk...There's no structure here and consequently its just chaos. I originally was going to have my kitten neutered here but I am SO GLAD I didn't. Bottom line.. DO NOT GO HERE IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. My kitten is still sneezing and sick. I will never be back.

Since I moved to Orange County three years ago, I've been going to Mesa West. However, Dr. Lepera, the current vet who owns the place now and who took over last year, is the best they've had. I was contemplating switching vets when Dr. Lepera took over. I had a life threatening and freak emergency for my Great Dane, Annabelle. Her toe started rotting off for no reason. But with Dr. Lepera's help and patience, we saved my dogs life. Considering I spent almost every day there for over three months, I got to know the doctor and staff very well. She is not like most vets. She's in it for the right reasons. I've met very few vets who care as much as she does and has the compassion and willingness to work hard. When we couldn't figure out what caused my dog's problem, she contacted specialists and sent them photos, she went above and beyond. Since she didn't offer laser treatment, something that would help my dog heal faster after removing her toe, she called around and finally found someone who would provide the service. She told me when people were charging too much and trying to cheat me since she knew how much the laser treatment should cost. She had him come into her office. She scheduled all of it. I just dropped my girl off and knew she was in good hands. Seriously... above and beyond. Annabelle is alive today against all the odds because of her. Instead of losing her entire leg like we feared she might, she only lost a toe and she's back to her normal self because of Dr. Lepera. And then a few months later, my boyfriend's 18 year old cat was struggling and his vet didn't have the answers. So I told him to bring his cat into her office and at least see what she had to say. We had the answers within minutes... and we realized it was far worse than a simple ear infection like the previous vet has said. Even though it was a Saturday and the vet was closing, we had to make an end of life decision for his best friend. The staff and vet were super compassionate, gave us all the time we needed and never rushed us, even after the office was officially closed. When it came time to say goodbye to his little buddy, the vet was very sweet and understanding, and to this day my boyfriend is very impressed with the way she handled such a tough day for him. Her prices are some of the best around and you can bet you aren't sacrificing on quality care. Her staff became like friends to me. They went out of their way to help during Annabelle's care. They went above and beyond, it wasn't just within their job descriptions. They did what was needed and they did it well. Even as I'm moving to Long Beach, I will keep coming back to Mesa West as long as Dr. Lepera and her staff is there. It's hard to find a good vet these days and I don't think it's possible to find another vet as good as her.

Me and my whole family LOVE Mesa West Pet Hospital. We have had nothing but great experiences with them. From check-ups, to boarding, to making the difficult decision to put down an elderly pet, they have been wonderful & supportive. Their prices are the most reasonable I have seen and they are always willing to work with you and give you options. I would recommend Mesa West Pet Hospital to anyone. I live about 25 minutes away from them now but refuse to go anywhere else for my pet's needs.

I've been taking my dog here for 2 years after the horrible service and outrageous prices at Costa Mesa Pet Hospital. They changed to a new owner who is extremely caring about her patients and the owners. She has an amazing support staff as well. I will continue to bring my dog here for his visits and check ups.
