my neighbor recommended this place because of the prices.....Went here to get antibiotics For mastitis infection associated with a mammary gland tumor and checked for second opinion for surgery prices on my 11year old dog. I was very dissatisfied at the methods of care they used and never met the vet face-to-face , was not allowed back with my dog unless I paid an extra $20 for The Visit. My my dog was left in a kennel with a compromised immune system for 5 hours and when I received her back They were trying to sell me nail clipping groom which I had done 2 weeks earlier and she didn't need. Although the surgery would have been cheaper they gave me no medication for her infection unless I paid them a $100 more for blood work and refused to give me Antibiotics otherwise...even precautionarily or preventative Knowing I had shared I did not have the extra money to pay for blood work . When I called them to notify them my dog got sick they tried say she didn't get sick there and tried charging me another exam fee to see and give medication for what she caught in this office. They got her sick...and want me to pay again for them to make it right? .so much for caring for the animals well being..the worst part is the treatment coordinator said the vet who I never saw Recommended a rabies vaccination which I allowed not knowing that it is not advised in my dog's condition. When I called 2 other vets to get a emergency appointment And 2 other veterinarians concurred that rabies vax is not advised due to her tumor diagnosis, age and the fact that she's already had 2 other rabies vaccinations.....so why did this place recommend one after also the same was diagnosed there THIS PLACE Stinks!... I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I called an emergency veterinarian because my regular Had no appointments and was able to get her in to Newport HARBOR animal hospital..who isn't an er vet but got me in the next day after her symptoms popped up .???? Dr wind rocks at Newport Harbor Animal Hospital everyone...they treated my dog for Kennel cough that she caught at this facility a week prior. She went home with all the meds she needed until I can get the tests fir her mammarys. I had to

Sadly the clinic came as a referral, from Someone I can trust, I expected more. The owner Ashley and the team are absolutely not interested in your dogs health and wellness. From accepting appointments with no way to get in contact, to recently needing more urgent assistance with our dogs health - on an emergency level - zero phone pick ups, zero assistance and a terrible experience even trying to get our dog seen. At best they have one doctor on staff, they over boom their calendars and then dodge calls and communication. I feel terrible they run such a short staffed, inefficient business and hope they can get their ducks in a run before they are forced to shutter their doors. While there on my last visit they allowed sick dogs to mix with healthy dogs and a line was formed around the facility. Terrifying and irresponsible. If you love your animal this is not the place for you.

This place is cheap since it the only way to get customers. They told me that my dog needed x-rays and they broke his tail doing them, they told me that he needed a double hip replacement and he did not need it. He walks and jumps just fine. They lecture about grains for dogs. When I ordered flea medication the labeled the wrong pet name on a prescribed amount and if I didn't question it then one would have too much medication and they other not enough. They trimmed our other dogs nails way too short and she could not walk for 3 days. They told me that my new puppy needed an exam and when I questioned it they have me Ashley the manager who then said that we didn't but that they would not see any of our dogs because I was rude. I was not rude but because of all their inability to give the proper treatment and prescriptions I do question them. I asked to speak with the DR and Ashley told me that she is part co owner and she would not let me speak with the DR. They treat the dogs terrible behind the scenes and don't like when you ask about it.

Beware!!!! This place is horrible. I brought my dog in for an exam and he barely scraped the vet tech and they called animal control on him. How disgusting! You are a place for dog vet care how can you do that when my dog is stressed out?? He’s a chihuahua mix he didn’t hurt anyone. They don’t care about the dogs at all. And the lady on the phone was insanely rude.

Needs to improve CUSTOMER service check in WAIT TIME getting longer post pandemic has gotten worse APPOINTMENT IS NOT AN APPOINTMENT waiting time is too long. They'll make you WAIT. 1.5 HOUR at least. VERY Poor customer service. I ASKED for medical records to be emailed. They keep forgetting.

The girl I spoke to on 9/29 is extremely rude and disrespectful. She doesn’t know what kind of day someone is having. Talks over people and probably needs coaching on how to communicate.

Easy and simple walk through from the staff of what's going to happen and how it will happen. The staff are also really friendly.

I took my dog after my sister suggested it. I visit them a few times. Is not by appointment. First come first serve and if you get there at 10:00 am, no luck till afternoon. So frustrating. I won’t suggest ???? only good think is that doc. J is an excellent doctor ????????

My fur babies Dr. Is one thing I don't have to worry about for life. And ALL the medical assistance are not only professional, they're respectful..

This place is one of the most affordable places in the Orange County, CA I’ve ever encountered. For what you get it really is a steal compared to other veterinarian establishments

Just because you guys are cheap doesn't mean you fool client with unnecessary exams and etc. Very unorganized with keeping data for why medication is prescribed and prescribed heavy doses of medication for a under age kitten. Front Staff is terrible for not communicating properly, making clients feel like their being taking advantage of.

Great prices but starting to have problems with this place. Had to wait an hour for my cats medicine for them to not to have it in the end. They could of told me earlier instead of waiting for an HOUR.

Super busy, seemingly a lil chaotic for first timers, but my pup was well cared for and the outcome was as intended. Staff is friendly and patient...

I’ve been bringing my dogs here for years. I’ve only met Dr. Jamillo once. I like her. We often get a different vet every time. Regardless, like any physician, you’re going to get different feedback from different doctors. I think the pricing is fair. Since Covid it seems that most of my animal problems occur on Saturdays which this clinic is now closed on Saturday, forcing me to go to other vets in the community and their prices are higher. My main beef with this clinic is the staff surrounding the veterinarians. Especially the girls that work at the front desk. It’s almost as if they plucked them from a crowd and told them to answer phones. They are often clueless, can’t answer questions, put you on hold to get your questions answered and only come back with a partial answer. Not all of them, I can think of two ladies over about the past five years that know what they’re doing on the front end. I say this because when I drop my pet off for an exam, never once have I been called back by the vet. I’m always called back by someone who reads me the report and can’t answer any of my questions. What exactly am I paying to see a doctor for if I can’t talk to them? You end up playing a game of operator and that is frustrating. I’m disappointed they aren’t grooming right now. I don’t run a clinic so I can’t speak for the rationale, but I am a nurse and I know they’ve reduced elective procedures which would include grooming. They do a really good job grooming! Best my dogs have ever had. Wait times are rough but again this is a low-cost clinic so an extra hour of your time will save you some money.

I love Dr. J .....she did such a wonderful job removing a growth on my dogs eye, and really calmed my nerves when I was worried about her. Her eye looks so good, you can’t even tell she had surgery! Thank you Dr. J

Excellent low cost vet, something that’s definitely lacking in this area. No appointments will be made, they accept patients twice daily, 8am and 1pm only. downside is due to covid, you arrive 30min ear ly, check in at a clipboard listed outside, then it’s this weird back and forth phone call thing while your pet is inside. the care is thorough but feels somewhat impersonal and you no longer have that back and forth conversation with the Dr nor the Q & A’s that come up with those conversations. BUT, having have said all that, I do still highly recommend and the pandemic will subside eventually and humans will be allowed inside once again.

Best vet clinic around! I have 2 very large sensitive dogs and the staff is amazing with them. Ive been to many vets over the years and Dr. Jaramillo is hands down the best and prices can't be beat. Thank you Dr. Jaramillo and staff

Fantastic friendly vet! They are a low cost walk in clinic which means you need to go super early, but it's worth it. Prices and quailty are excellent. With Covid things are shifting, but they are doing their best. They don't do anything additional without calling you and normally don't push you to do anything but vaccines.

I have taken my pets to this hospital for years. They are always thorough and helpful. It is a first come, first served shop, so be aware. Considering there is a pandemic, there have been safe and reliable.
