Dr. B is the best vet I've had in my 25 years of owning pets

My father has been bringing his dogs here since we moved to Chico in 2014 and he loved it, so when I got my own dogs, I decided to bring them here. The staff is friendly and (some of) the Vets are awesome! Unfortunately, I had a pretty irritating experience with Veterinarian Valerie Johnson. I brought my dog in for a broken dewclaw and was given a set price before he was taken to the back for his procedure. While I was waiting for them to bring him back out to me, Valerie came out to my car and said she ‘forgot’ to include the price of the nail removal, which was the whole reason I had brought my dog in to begin with. They had already done the procedure and given him the vaccines (that I usually do myself for this reason) so I was unable to say I didn’t want to do the vaccines this time, as they had already charged me for it. Her ‘forgetfulness’ cost me an extra hundred dollars that I didn’t have. As a college student who asked MULTIPLE times how much the procedure would be, this was extremely irritating. If I end up coming back to this establishment, I will be requesting a different Vet and quadruple checking that they give me the right amount before they do any procedures.

My little baby angel just had his second procedure done by this vets office. (Cancerous lump removed and teeth cleaning) I’ve been going there for several years now and have had nothing but good experiences. They all seem to genuinely care about the animals, are very helpful and I never feel like they’re just trying to make a sale. I highly recommend this place. My dog, Maynard, is now all fixed up and ready to party!....well when he gets his sutures out in a couple weeks. Thank you Chico Creek Animal Hospital!

Needed to find a permanent vet in chico when I got my puppy a year ago and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The staff here are always so nice and truly care about your pets health. And are great at answering any questions you have.

Compassionate and empathetic, the staff is wonderful. They took good care of my dog and helped me deal with the panic attack our situation caused me. They were not pushy about services and gave me pricing and procedure up front.

Very clean, caring and professional office and staff. When another vet had seen my cat and failed to schedule the correct surgery for her, I was recommended to Chico Creek Animal Hospital by my father. They were able to get her into surgery the very next day without any issues. The DR called me during the procedure to advise me on some complications and showed concern and options for me and my cat. Sheba is home and doing great and recovering. This is now my vet for all our animals. Even asked their staff to have our other animals records sent over to them!

I've been to a couple Vets around Chico, but I still wanted a permanent place for my animals that truly cared. I just never got that experience from any other place unfortunately.... And then i found Chico Creek Animal Hospital.. Hands down the only Vet I'll ever take my animals to now. My mom's dog, My Terrier & My cat are all patient's here. The staff is so over the Top freaking Nice!!! They really care about you & your pet & they show it. Each time that we have came for our pet's & showed concern the staff really makes you feel like everything will be okay & they will take care of business. They're really thorough. And call a lot to let you know how everything went if your pet stayed for an appointment & then they call to check on your pet after their appointment. The vet office really does let you know every detail of what's going on & they really want updates & check in regularly. They absolutely Care. I'll never go to another veterinarian now. Wish I found them sooner.

I LOVE the lady VET, she is awesome with animals & humans, the one chic at the desk that RUDELY told me to go wait OVER there, someone will call you up when its your turn needs a few courses in customer relations, the other lady's make up for what she lacks, tho! Took good care of both of my neighbors 4 legged babies!

Everyone here is so friendly, genuinely cares about your pets and will clearly explain what're are doing during the new guidelines required by the state during the pandemic. All my visits have been compliant and socially distanced. Highly recommend.

You're looking for a good animal hospital this is the place to bring or animal they care they they apes love animals and they get mine better every time I bring him so highly recommend to bring their animals to she go animal hospital 5 stars and even given 10

The people here really care about your pet and they treat you nicely. I have been to other vets in the area and they gave been disappointing but Chico Creek has always been great. Also their prices are very competitive.

Dr. Bettencourt is a great Vet! He is very knowledgeable professional kind & compassionate. My animals love him even though he pokes and prods them, cuz he loves animals and they know it. He takes the time to explain everything. ------------- Dr. Bettencourt, I'm not sure why your records say that you haven't seen my animals in over a year, you examined both of them in November! This is why I had written the original review! Because when I tried to tell the woman that answered the phone that day that you saw both my animals in November, she said you had no record of seeing my animals since 2017! Then she hung up on me! When I tried to call back to try speak to someone else the same woman would answer the phone. I was literally in tears and I felt my only recourse was to write a scathing review AND hope that you would read it. After I saw that you had responded I called your office again and this time it's a different person who's answering the phone and she was kind professional and extremely helpful. She said she would try to get the problem resolved. I appreciate whatever changes you have made and I'm thankful that you took the time to read your reviews. Thank you so much for all the wonderful work you do with animals.

I've brought my 4 year old Lab here for about 2 years now. They offer amazing service, and recently added a second vet. She is wonderful!

The entire staff here is so great! Dr. Bettencourt is so affectionate and caring with our animals (2 dogs and 2 cats). We've been going here for just over a year, and we haven't had nearly as good a veterinary office in 30 years!

Brought my dog in for some skin issues yesterday and it was a great experience. Wonderful staff, very kind and great with my dog. Won't ever go anywhere else. Thank you all very much!!
