Topanga Veterinary Clinic Chatsworth, California

Strong smell of animal urine took my breath as soon as I walked in. 20 minutes after my scheduled appnt and still waiting.... Couldn't take the smell anymore so I walked out.

Terrible! If zero stars were an option, they would get zero.

Brought my dog in for an ear infection. The doctor barely examined him. They then asked $800 to treat it. When I informed them that I couldn't afford it since I was currently unemployed, they gave me paper prescriptions. To my shock, the pharmacy informed us that the vet declined the prescription because we didn't do the other $800 treatment that they were selling us. Consequently, our poor pup went untreated. When I called the office, we were rudely told that the doctor was too busy to speak to us and if we didn't like it, to go elsewhere. I will be reporting this doctor to the medical board. They are not only ill equipped but unethical but unprofessional.

Dr.G is always nice and professional to my dog. Every time we come here and he is always trying his best to support us. We change our vet because of him. We been going to him for almost 5 years now and we follow him from the old place to here.

Everyone there was extremely nice and helpful. I will be definitely bringing the rest of the furry ones here!

My first time here for appointment at 2.30pm today. I checked in at 2.20pm to fill out the new patient form. Waited for 90 minutes without anyone giving me any information. I ended up leaving as I learned the doctor was not even in the office. The entire time, there were 2 customers arguing with the front office employees about their surgery bills, one argured that the office wanted to charge more than what previously quoted and the other asked to locate what had paid already toward the invoice and the office couldn't find the paperwork. Most of the time, the 2 girls worked in the front office disappeared and stayed in the back room and there was no one in the front room to help anyone. When I saw an employee, I asked about my appointment and was told to have a seat and wait. They call me much later after I already left and said they are ready to put us in the room (even the doctor has not been in). I did not have good feeling about this place and it just seemed so chaotic so I left.

They are open late, and know what they are doing. They saved my dog. I will always be grateful.

Never ever take your beloved pet here. the horror stories i’ve heard are beyond imaginable. i’m so sorry to everyone who’s lost a pet because of the cruel people

I am so happy to have found Topanga Veternary Clinic. It was late in eve and my dog was vomiting , could not keep food in her stomach. I researched online and since she also did same thing day before I realized this cd be very serious. My options were ER at that hour. I called quite a few, and most had 4 or 5 hr wait, or were in another city, or weren't taking more patients, I was given Topanga Veternary Clinic number. They were getting ready to close at midnight. I called at 11:50 pm . Dr. G. told me not to worry , just bring her in and they would wait for me. He was not only kind, patient, caring, professional, and everything else you would hope for in a Veternarian. You could see his genuine love of animals, and his exceptional knowledge of Veternary Medicine. He took care of my sweet girl , spent alot of time with us . I know he must have been very tired, yet still gave her great treatment no matter how long it took. He sent us home with medication and plan to get her well again. I can't say enough good things about this Dr. and what he did for us. Thank you again and again Dr. G. and Topanga Veternary Clinic. You are a wonderful doctor. The vet and technician were so great with my dog. She just had skin allergies whew so just needed antibiotics and shot for allergies and ear infection. Cost was reasonable yay

I couldn't find another vet and they took me in . Dr Gurmani was great and compassionate. My baby ????‍⬛????died he was too week . Dr. Game me a discount and my babies ashes for free. Thank you guys for taking us in insuch a short notice.

We brought our dog in because she cut her paw open. I wrapped it myself so it would stop the bleeding and they wanted to keep her overnight and sedate her without even looking at her leg. They wanted to charge us 900 not even including the overnight stay

I think you have high prices and unprofessionalism to deal with the customer in emergencies.

Stay away from this place! It is highway robbery at best and neglectful behavior could cost your pet's life. They get you with the low cost office visit and from there they prey on your desperation and love for your best friend. Please, if you love your animals, go anywhere else but here.

Way over priced. We had to rush in our older dog who had been seriously hurt. Took over an hour to see her. Didn't give her any pain meds or anything in the mean time. Unfortunately her injuries required us to have to euthanize her. It cost almost 700$. For NO treatment. They individually sold each component of the euthanasia way above what it should have been and again just to reiterate... THERE WAS NO TREATMENT GIVEN. This is double what other vets cost for euthanasia services and absolutely criminal to charge this amount to put a suffering animal down. I had an veterinary emergency room visit cost less. Do not recommend.

I took my dog to get examined by Dr.G and all he did was had my spouse and myself hold her down and he said oh she has yeast infection really bad i suggest a shot of antibiotic CONVENIA $250 it will last her for two weeks its better than getting her on the capsules. Prescribed ointment 1 a day for two weeks $38 .Consultation was $55 They charged me $5 biomedical waste. $348. Never gave her the first treatment. As a vet you should have applied the first dose. You never gave us a cone for her. You never even offered to opt for the capsules when I said it was too much. You sent the assistant in and you added ssa shot of Kenalog steroid without consulting with me and I turned it down because i just got her off steroids. The cost of the shot you never told me about another $100 . You sir and your staff not professional all about the Benjamin's. Needless to say Never considering going back nor recommending. Sick of over-priced vets that only care about how much money and advantage they can take.

Monsters! I went in with my dog three months ago and got a prescription, a copy of which I still have, which was for Bravecto, a flea medication for three month per pill with three refills. They wanted to sell it to me, but I wanted to order online. When I went to refill, their obnoxious vet said I needed to come in and pay him again if I wanted the refill. Calling back and telling the person answering the phone that I found the actual prescription, he said they would not honor it and called me an f---er. After making the report with Veterinary Board of California, I received two phone calls from the vet's assistant, telling me that they were getting in touch with some arab group to blow up my house. And to think that people actually bring their pets there to be treated!

Dr. Gurmani is the hardest working vet! Love the business hours and model of this clinic. If you ever need an after hour vet, at non ER prices, I recommend this clinic.

My dog had an infected eye and we tried calling every single vet in the area and not a single one could take us in. This place was just about to close and still took us in and saw my dog. The staff was friendly helpful and took his care of my Belle's eye.

They raised their prices so im going elsewhere..45 dollars office visit before anything is done ...Price gouging.

Dr Gurmani is the best!! He has a true passion for helping and saving animals

They were awesome! They were the only vet in the surrounding areas of simi valley thst was able to take my sisters cat snd thr whole visit was msybe an hour snd her eye which was swollen is now bsck to normal would deffiantely recommend

They Charge my husband a-lot for the surgery We were supposed to pick her up today in the afternoon, but they call ask to go and get her, he pay until today and I don’t understand why we went to pick her up yesterday, it’s not fair on the price I mean they did a good job on the surgery

Dog suffered from a coyote bite, they were the only vet that wasn't over Capacity. The staff was very nice and handled my dog with care.

My dog had an emergency and after calling several pet hospitals this was the only one that helped me on a Saturday afternoon! The staff very courteous and kind to customers and patience I highly recommend !

update 8/11/21-- Dr Gurmani is the best, as is most of the staff. They know my pack well. Almost always help is immediate or only short wait. Extremely helpful. Very accomodating. Very reasonable price. Made my pom feel at ease. Saved him from certain death. Helped all my buddies in their time of need.
