I can say enough how valuable dog training is and with my first rescue, I was in desperate need of support. My dog has seperation anxiety, really afraid of mostly everything and everyone, and didn't really know any of the basics when I got her. After 7 in-home, private trainings with Danny she has literally transformed. He really gives you all the tools you need, in a 'train the trainer' kind of way. But the 1-1 time was immensely helpful and he could assess and work on tactics with us in real time. The homework we had kept me and our dog stimulated and even when my partner couldn't make trainings I would always have a full list of notes to share. Danny is comprehensive, professional, empathetic, and really an expert in his practice. Without his support I likely would have returned my dog so definitely worthwhile investment.

We are so thankful to Danny! We got our pup from a rescue highly traumatized to people and other animals. We had dogs our entire lives but felt it was important to get an experts help this time around. It was impossible to walk our dog after a few weeks, he didn’t know any commands and was very irresponsible. We learned so much with each class! Danny was extra patient with us owners, explaining the process clearly and answering all our questions and concerns. Within a few lessons, our dog transformation is immense. He is feeling safe to come out of his shell and comfortable with his new surroundings. It is amazing to see our dog now, after a few classes, able to go for walks, eating his food without fear and dramatically reducing his territorial behaviors. Highly highly recommend Danny.

We've been coming here for 5 weeks for puppy pre-school and we enjoy it. The staff is awesome and training the trainer and our pup just loves them. We will be staying with them for a while I think.

Working with Danny has been the best experience ever! He is extremely patient and understanding. Danny has taught us many things but the most important lesson is this...2-3 weeks of hard work and consistency (the basics) will provide a lifetime of good behavior. Danny was wonderful. We hired him to work with our new puppy. I really thought our puppy was going to be a problem, but Danny turned her around.

Danny is a rock star! He truly understands dogs of all breeds and how to train them. He is very patient with both the humans and the dogs. And, he is firmly committed to positive reinforcement and rewarding good behavior and prohibits any hitting of the dogs. His classes are well-structured and reasonably priced. His teaching methods work. Our 6 month old Chocolate Lab is a rescue who was extremely skiddish. She didn't even want to get out of the car, treats were of no interest, and she had had very little social interaction with other dogs. After a very short time, she had gained confidence, learned how to play with the other dogs, and was learning the various commands. We were so pleased with the results of the beginner class, that we signed up for the intermediate class. She is now just over a year old and is well-trained because of Danny. I highly recommend Athens Dog Training!
