Doctor Kidder was wonderful with both my dogs. Friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone was very nice and the facility is clean and pretty. I appreciated that nobody tried to pressure me to get any vaccines I didn't want it make me feel bad for procedures I want quite ready for. I've definitely had bad experiences with other vets. Thank you guys so much!

My guinea pig Gerald needed to see Dr. Brown again after she changed offices and we're willing to drive from Reno to do so. The facility is pleasant as are the employees, and we were seen in a timely manner. There is also a really nice room for those that need to see a pet off to the Rainbow Bridge. If you need to see a vet for your exotic pet, Dr. Brown is the one to go to!

The staff was great. Very helpful. Explained everything they were doing, what the options were and stayed with us (me, my mom & Lady, my mom's Shepard) to the end. Very hard on my mom, they were very empathetic. I didn't tell the staff that day so I would like to say it now. "Thank all of you so very much for everything. You are amazing!"

The love that SVH has for animals in truly wonderful. I bring all my animals here and I just feel like the staff loves them as much as I do. They take the best care of them. I would and do recommend them to anyone looking for a vet clinic. My animals honestly love coming here because they get so much love and attention. I really could go on for hours about how wonderful SVH has been to us!

Dr. Brown and her staff were friendly, caring and informative. Dr. Brown followed up with a call relating the lab results. The facility was immaculate! Our "senior" pup was shaking when we went in and totally calmed down by the time we left.

After many years our family vet retired and needing a new one we tried a "highly rated" veterinary hospital in Carson for our two aging dogs and were very disappointed with their care. I met Drs. Kidder and Brown at a dog safety class by the Carson City Sheriffs K9 team a few months ago and knew that they were the ones that were going to care for my animals from now on. My dog recently had an urgent problem and Dr. Brown treated her as a new patient. Everything about the visit was what I expected, from the front office to the exam to the assistants. They truly are the best veterinary service around.

They handled our anxious dog very well. He did very well with them, and was very excited and happy to meet them all:) Will definitely go back here in the future should the need arise

Wonderful Hospital they got my dog and on a Saturday took wonderful care of him he is back to normal now thank you.

Since leaving an initial review, I have parted ways with Sierra Veterinary Hospital. The owner retired, and new veterinarians and staff took over. The last time I went in for a 6:40 pm appointment, I was told I was late and had to pay extra to see the veterinarian. The employee at the front desk said I had an appointment for 6:30. My appointments were always for 6:40 because of my work schedule.Then I was told that appointments are made in 20 minute increments. Well, if appointments are every 20 minutes, then there was no way I had a 6:30 appointment. I was right on time, and said I would not pay extra to see the veterinarian. Their excuses contradicted what I had experienced in the past and my appointment time. I asked to see the veterinarian my cat was scheduled with, and I got the same line from her. She continued to argue I had to pay extra for her to see my cat. I refused. If this wasn’t enough, I had to keep coming back to have my cat Steve looked at after he had dental surgery. His teeth had all been extracted due to stomatitis, and that dental surgery was supposed to take care of the situation. It did not take care of the problem because the doctor who performed the surgery left tooth roots in, and now Steve needs to have another operation to remove the roots that were left behind during the original surgery. That’s why this poor cat has had an inflamed mouth since his surgery. That’s extreme negligence. It’s very sad to see a once great veterinary hospital go so down in customer service and quality of care. If this were the last veterinary hospital in Carson City, I wouldn’t go there. I now go to Animal Medical Services in Gardnerville. Their prices are much, much lower, and the quality of care for all my cats is much, much higher than Sierra Veterinary Hospital.

I have been going to sierra vet for several years. They are always very kind and helpful. I would recommend them to a friend.

This hospital is awesome! I take all my pets to them and have never questioned any care they have provided. The big wow for me was how clean they were inside/outside and odor free. Every other vet I've been to, smelt so bad. Highly recommend!!!

Have had pleasant experiences in the past and everyone is usually very nice. Went in for an appointment they got me in was told to come in “tomorrow” and when I got there was told my appt was the next week. So they scheduled me in the wrong slot and told me to come in the wrong day. Decided to get a cone for my cat while there (with my cat) and they didn’t put it on for me so when I got my freaked out cat home, I did the cone (wrong) as it’s a one try sort of cone. Super annoyed they didn’t have a second to look at my cat amd see if she needs emergency help or not And put the cone on her for me.. the doctors were all conveniently in a meeting and no one was available. Super frustrating. I called them after botching the cone at home And at first they just tried to reassure me if I could fit fingers or was fine. then I called again and asked if they could fit it as I did it incorrectly and too small. They said to come back in amd while fitting her kind of checked her out and a doctor finished up another patient and fit us in to see her. Very nice we got some meds for her and they fit the cone “correctly” unlike what I did. Thanks for getting us in! Wish they would have just peeled at her in the first place since I was here. :/

I was new in town trying to get our 50 lb, 3-legged rescue dog seen for anxiety and a necessary vaccination before we took her on a 4 hour drive. The first 2 vets i reached out to had full schedules with multiple week lead times. Sierra Vet had an opening the next week, and I took her records with me to simplify the process. Dr. Bellgrau is a kind, thoughtful, and down to earth animal lover. Our vet tech was a super star herself and Fifi liked them both. Dr. Bellgrau even managed to give the vaccination shot during the exam while Fifi was distracted by the petting and body check. Highly recommend this family of animal lovers. The front desk is well organized and very attentive, too.

Our dog was bitten and the first place we thought to take him was here. The staff are all amazing, friendly and kind. Even though our dog was freaking out a bit they loved on him to help him feel at ease. Only place in Carson we will take our pets period.

The staff is friendly and professional. Doc Fisk is extremely caring. All around it was a good visit.

My experience with Sierra Vet Hospital has been all positive. The vets and staff are eager to welcome you and especially my dogs... Brandy and Molly. I rate SVH 5 stars and excellent.

Have been using them for years! This time was no different. No flack about my dog. Just helped me fix a few issues. I know if something goes wrong I can call them no matter what time! Which is important to me.

SVH is the best most competent profession vets and support staff , Compared to many others in Carson City and Douglas County , They listen and explore all options for care . We highly recommend SVH for all Vet needs .

We were evacuated from our home in Lake Tahoe and our 13 week old puppy was due for her second rounds of vaccines. Dr. B and Rachael at Sierra Veterinary Hospital were over the top kind, caring and professional. If you need a vet in the Carson City area, this is the place to go! Thank you!

Clerk had me pay off debt from previous owner. Before telling me they won't see my dog injured at a dog park because the dog needs to be released in my care. I told them to refund me that money and previous owner released the dogs information to me. But none of that mattered. They told me they were busy and understaffed and couldn't see him anyways. Unprofessional

Took our anxious 9 yr old rescue pittie mix in for a vaccine update and some advice regarding car travel. The front desk is quick to respond, organized, and caring. The Vet Techs all seem interested and friendly and ours was very professional, too. Dr. Bellgrau is compassionate, encouraging, and helpful. She managed to give our anxious bundle her vaccination without her knowing it! We are happy to have found such a great place to care for our beloved pet.

I can not say enough amazing things about this wonderful place! They saved my cat twice already. Staff is so nice, clean, easy parking , and short wait times.

I needed a same day appointment for my cat and got lucky that they had one available. Everything was done so efficiently and they took great care of my cat. The whole team was friendly and professional. Sierra Veterinary Hospital is amazing, I highly recommend them.

Never had a vet sit on the floor to get to know my dog and do an exam with such respect for the dog, best place ever! Staff was friendly n caring, my dog was kept completely nervous free.

They were great, the employees are personable and the animal care was great, the only issue for me was that it was just as hot if not hotter inside than outside! Turn up the air!! Lol
