Everything was explained about the treatment for my senior cat so clearly and Dr. Ecker was very knowledgeable. I felt I was dealt with honestly and my options were discussed with my family's best interest.

I searched long and hard to find the right Dr to do a Laparoscopic Spay on my pup. It's less invasive and less painful as they only remove ovaries and not the uterus. I found Dr. Evans and his team, drove down from LA and met with them. They were all wonderful and the procedure went without a hitch. Winnie was back to normal in just 3 days. It's been a week since her procedure and her tiny wounds are healed. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to spay their pup to consider this procedure (LOVE Spay) instead of the traditional spay and trust Dr. Evans and his team.

I’ve been taking our dog to Coastal Animal now for about 2 years. I first came to them at their Encinitas location. We had just moved back into town and had yet to establish a vet for our little guy when he was bitten by another dog at the dog park. They were great at the time with fitting us in, and took great care of our dog. Follow up was great, and always is. The vets and vet technicians are great. My only frustration with them is that every time I’ve needed them for an emergency it feels like pulling teeth. The front desk receptionist lack the skill level in my opinion to recognize or deal with a stressed out parent whose dog is in need of care. My last vet back in Illinois would always accommodate us when we called with an urgent matter during office hours. Here I’m always told they are booked solid and can’t see us. There was a time our dog was stun/swallowed a bee and the receptionist at first told us her first available wasn’t until later that afternoon. It was later related to us that for an extra urgent care fee they could see us earlier. Common sense would tell you that if I call crying on the phone telling you my little guy is literally shutting down and is having an allergic reaction to the bee that I don’t really care about the extra fee because my dogs life means more to me then the money. I’m originally from CA but since being back in town I find that the warm fuzzy feeling is missing a bit with our current vet. I continue to hope something will change. I want my vet to see my dog as their own, and feel like he’s the most important thing to them as well. Like I mentioned before the vets and techs are great. It’s the front office that I struggle with.

Very clean inside and organized. Didn't feel rushed and everyone who worked there was super nice. You pay for what you get and they are very clear on what services are needed and which are recommendations.

Very clean. I did not have to wait a long time. My vet is new to me,but she seemed competent and knowledgeable. I will return to Coastal Animal Hospital.

Great experience! I have two rescue kitties that are difficult to get into a cage. All the staff was professional, caring and understanding. Big shout to Carlos who really took the time to understand my needs. Dr Tiffany Sheldon was professional. friendly and answered all my questions.

We love Coastal Animal! There is genuine caring of our animals...and they take true interest in both the owner and the pets. I'm so happy we found them for our beautiful young Lab! The compassionate care and sincere interactions that are thorough. You never feel like they're rushing you.

I called today for an emergency appointment for my poodle. I'm from Seattle and my dog was very sick They got my dog in for an appointment immediately. They were very responsive and took very good care of my puppy.

I love this place...Dr. Evans is thorough and patient with our dogs. I'm very happy with the quality and cleanliness of the office. Staff are terrific too. All are very empathetic.

I am a first time dog owner and have a 5 month golden retriever. He has had stomach issues for the past 3 months. I've been to 8 vets and no one spent as much time as Dr Evans. He talked to me for an hour and answered every single question...trust me I had a LONG list of questions. The vet tech who greeted me even had read my dogs history prior. I'm a researcher and this is THE veterinarian to see! I drive 2 hours to see him. Everything but the time the vet spent with me

The team does a great job with Nikki. She is a nervous pup but the team is very patient and kind to her. The kindness to Nikki and communication with me is always appreciated!

Great experience, doctor, and staff! The doctors approach and knowledge was so helpful for my cat - and the virtual zoom made me feel so comfortable during this “new normal”! I recently moved to the area too - so this will be my new animal doctor for my dog, and two cats! Fantastic!

The staff are always super friends and can see is without long waits.

Dr Cobb and Dr Evans have been amazing. Super informative and always so open to questions. The staff there is great as well! Brittney is always amazing with my puppy! Love how sweet everyone is and if I want I could do a zoom call during the appointments it's an amazing plus during these interesting times!

We had a sick puppy at the end of their operating hours and still allowed us to come in and they worked after hours so that Julio could be taken care of.

Dr. Evans did a great job of keeping me informed during the exam via Zoom meeting. He and his team were very professional and didn't make me feel rushed as I asked follow up questions. I also appreciate the follow up call the next day to check on how my pup was feeling.
