Amanda did a fantastic job grooming my cat Willow. I will definitely use her for future grooming services.

I’ve wanted to leave a review for a very long time but hadn’t had the time. But I felt it was important for people to see how our experience has been with Amanda. About a year ago, a cat showed up at our door and was very hungry and very friendly. I hadn’t been much of a cat person, but there was something different about this cat. He hung around our house for a couple of days, and our daughter fell in love with him. I posted on Facebook and Next door to try and find his owner. But no one claimed him. In one of these posts, I met Amanda, and she’s been great. She helped guide us through every step of adopting our little guy, who we named Gizmo. She helped us get him neutered, and She helped us get him vaccinated. She helps us with everything Gizmo-related! We use her grooming services to give our Gizmo his annual all-over haircut and give him his Sanitary cut and Nail trims every few months. She always does an excellent job! And we fully trust her with our Gizmo. We will continue to support her small business Thank you, Amanda! Keep up the great work!

Edit: If you would like to see my response to Amanda, please check Yelp as it is too long to post here. Amanda explicitly asked me not to write this review after she refunded my money. I’d offered to still pay her half for her trouble, but instead, she said to keep all of it “so you don’t write me a bad review”. I informed her I would leave a fair review, and to that she stated that she would reply with what we had discussed. I hope she does so honestly and without malice, like I have done in my review. I will start by assuring her that I am not trying to “ruin her livelihood” as she said I was. I am only explaining what happened, and from this you can better understand how to prepare for an appointment if you choose to book with her. She claims this has never happened to her before. The appointment: She made no mention of it prior, and we are first-time pet owners, so we didn’t tell her that our cat would be on gabapentin when we scheduled our appointment. However, we informed her when she arrived 15 minutes before our appointment time. She didn’t say that it would be an issue then - only after the appointment when we expressed our dissatisfaction over text. I also mentioned very clearly that it still needed 15 minutes to kick in as I had timed for it to be in effect by the original appointment time. She began anyway and had to muzzle him and use a hood. I have no problem with that since he was being rowdy, and she said he was fine after 15 minutes anyway, like I planned. However, she claimed afterward that I didn’t warn her he would be feisty. I guess I could have made it clearer that he really needed the gabapentin to be calm, but I (mistakenly) thought it’d be obvious. The result: We told her that we wanted a trim and to focus on his bum. I mentioned a trim many times, and she responded saying she would give him a “short cut”. Apparently “a trim” is too vague, and she took it to mean a short cut, which took off more than an inch of hair (we know because we have trimmed him before with a one-inch clipper), although she claims it was a half inch. More importantly, the cut is choppy and does not look good (see the before and after photos). Also, his nails are splitting and dull after she cut them, which has never happened before. She said, after I complained, that I had been vague, but she had made no attempt to clarify what I wanted before beginning. She repeatedly said she would give him a short cut, which I took to mean a trim because I had repeatedly said trim the whole time. I don’t know why she didn’t clarify if I was being vague, especially when she was using an entirely different term. A professional should make sure that they and their client are on the same page before proceeding. The unprofessionalism: In our correspondence afterward, she told me I should have been clearer because she can’t read my mind. She told me to bring reference photos next time, which makes sense, but I found her lack of prior discussion, and especially her saying that she can’t read my mind, very unprofessional. Other unprofessional behaviors were guilt-tripping texts: “I don’t think you need to try to ruin my livelihood” and, after I wished her well several times, “I am not having a very good day thanks. Now I am just a ball of anxiety while I groom the last several cats.” I can’t speak for more experienced pet owners, but I would not recommend her to first-timers. Perhaps meeting her more than halfway and preparing pictures would be best, since she does not attempt to understand your request unless it's one the three options she mentioned to me: short cut, buzz, and lion cut. I truly hope nothing goes wrong during your appointment because while she will give you a refund, it is not a pleasant experience and she does not admit any wrongdoing on her part. Again, I’m not trying to ruin anyone’s business, but I can’t recommend her.

I'm so thankful for Amanda! Our cat Sandy is kinda special, she never grooms herself, not even as a kitten. We did our best to brush her regularly but the shed hair was overwhelming. Poor thing had dandruff as a result too. I can tell you after finally deciding to take the plunge Sandy is so much happier!! She looks adorable, she's more active and I even caught her trying to groom her own tummy! A+ def recommend! Our kitty came back happy, healthy and not stressed by the experience.

Amanda is an Angel here on earth helping feral cats have better lives and not having more & more kittens. She patiently taught me how to trap a very sick feral cat. She is so knowledgeable about cats. She has a very calming presence, you need that type of personality working with scared animals. I will always be grateful to her for helping me with my beautiful cat. God Bless you Amanda.

Amanda is amazing! she reached out to my post of a severely neglected geriatric kitty i found and volunteered to help him, he was severely matted and she worked for hours trying to get the pelt off his back, i didn’t think it was possible but she did it! he had to be shaved due to his extremely matted condition and he ended up naked from the top of his back, soon after he was able to gain mobility from her miracle work, he looked like a new cat, she shaved him, bathed him and did it all with care. i would go to her 100x over again, i was so blessed to have met her and am eternally grateful for her dedication to his care and well being. Thank you amanda!

Edit: you'll note that all of the 5 star reviews were done by her friends immediately after mine. Unprofessional and unreliable. Amanda doesn't know how to handle animals and my cat was hyperventilating for nearly an hour after seeing her. I explicitly said if he was seeming to be anxious to stop because he's a senior and I didn't want to cause him unnecessariy stress, but she'd didn't care or listen.

Amanda’s amazing!! I’ve seen her rescue so many kitties and give them a better life! She’s also so very sweet and determined! I have yet to use her services but definitely plan too in the near future! She’s the only one I would trust with my fur baby. If your looking for someone that’s professional, reliable, sweet and is very good with cats! She’s the one!!!

SO SO grateful for all the work Amanda does for the cats in the community. She's a very kind and sweet person who cares so much about the well being of all kitties. She is extremely reliable and responsive - whenever I reach out to her, she's very quick to respond. When I found a dirty, cute kitten, she gave it a bath and clipped her nails. We were very impressed by how well her nails were clipped and how good she smelled after her bath - we would only trust her to clip our cat's nails!

Amanda did a great job grooming my cat Sirius today. He came back looking and smelling great! She even shaved his belly for me as I was having problems brushing his stomach, he has really long fur! He got his nails trimmed and ears cleaned as well. Sirius came back after his grooming in a very good mood and enjoyed some treats from me for being a good boy during his grooming session. I will be using Amanda again every few months to keep my boy looking and smelling great!

Amanda is very punctual and professional and does a great job, especially with my shy little boy. He comes back to me always seeming to feel better after his spa day. I appreciate her service and I'm glad that she does what she does. Highly recommend her.

Amanda is an absolute gem! My two baby kittens had a case of ringworm and Amanda came twice a week for an entire month, giving both of them baths each time for treatment. She really knows how to handle them gently and in such a way that is efficient and gets the job done perfectly. The treatment totally helped and both were cleared of all infection– they looked like totally different cats. She was also so supportive and sweet for the whole duration, and as a new kitten mom she was able to reassure me and tell me everything was going to be okay! I was so worried about the treatment not going well but after watching Amanda work, I knew I was in great hands. She also gave me advice on kitten care, always had dry, thick towels for them, and I could tell she cared about my kittens just as much as I did. She taught me how to cut their nails and clean their ears too! Scheduling was easy– She's busy but only because she has so many happy clients! Overall, Amanda was an amazing guide when I first got my babies and I highly recommend her to any pet owner, new or long-term, she truly knows what she is doing.

Amanda takes what can be a stressful experience for your pet and handles it calmly and proficiently, in a "pet whisperer" way. She also devotes a large amount of time and effort to feral cat TNR and rescue, which is a plus. Highly recommended!

Amanda has been great with all of my cats. I've brought several to her this year and she was extremely patient and gentle with all of them. Though she doesn't typically prefer to do dogs, she cleaned up my grandma's poodle and he looked great! Though he can be a very timid dog, he came away from the appointment in good spirits. 10/10 would recommend.

Amanda is great! She's groomed my kitty Link for me twice now. He can be pretty fractious but she gets it done quickly, with low stress, and he always looks great afterwards.
