Seriously the best people to leave your pet in the hands of. Dr. Miller is so kind, honest and obviously loves animals. Our dog has had to have two surgeries there for her poor hind legs. I've felt comfortable leaving our baby girl with them. Highly recommended.

Honestly these guys are amazing. From the staff up front to the two doctors in the back, they're sweethearts when it comes to their work and they made sure on Wednesday that my German Shep/Pit bull mix was treated properly for her broken leg. Yeah they're open Wednesdays but a receptionist is there a few more days of the week to take calls or emails to schedule appointments. I emailed them at 1 am on Tuesday morning and by 8 am they called me to set up an appointment for my girl. Again sweet and kind staff, they went over everything with me and the kind woman up front also sent me estimates and discharge instructions via email before I even walked in for the appointment. She was able to answer most if not all of my questions through email and the actual surgery was less than the estimates by about $400 to $600 dollars. Their estimate to pay for my dogs spiral fracture was about $4200 to $4400 and it only wound up being about $3750 (which is deffinatly a lot better than the original $5000+ estimate the emergency pet hospital I went to gave me for the treatment on top of their hefty bill). They also take ScratchPay and CareCredit, I strongly recommend applying for CareCredit to help you through the process. I still need to take my pup for all of her follow-ups and post ops, I'll be sure to leave another review or edit this one, but basically for the amazing look of the office and how professional they are, you'd expect the price to be way higher. Friendly people, worth the one day a week. Again you can email them and someone should respond which will make waiting to make an appointment so much easier. Also! They don't make you pay the moment you check in. They actually charge you when you leave with your pet and they're more than willing to help you get your ScratchPay situated if you wanted to do that. If you need specialty surgery for your pup done, I'd deffinatly go for it here. Way better than driving to Fresno or Los Angeles. Great staff. Reasonable price. Awesome care.

After our dog fractured her leg we were treating her at Bakersfield Veterinary Hospital but they were not giving us much hope of saving her leg, saying we’d most likely have to amputate her leg because it was not healing correctly with just a splint. We were ready to do and pay what it took to save her leg and decided to get a 2nd opinion at BRVSS. Right from the start they were super quick and responsive, I sent in all the X-rays and medical records and was given an appointment that following day. The doctor took one look at the X-ray and immediately told us the fracture looked great, even after multiple doctors just a few days prior had told us it was pretty much a lost cause and she’d be losing her leg. We asked if he recommended surgery and he said he did not and she would be fine in a couple of weeks of splint changes. He was absolutely right, 2 weeks later she walked out of their office with all 4 legs and is now as strong as ever. He could’ve easily told us she needed surgery but he was very honest and did was was best for our dog. I highly recommend them! Great office and doctor and staff, really care.

They have performed successful TPLO surgery on my dog twice, both hind legs. The office is clean, conveniently located, parking is free, staff and doctor are great, very helpful and friendly. The price is reasonable compared to other vets for this expensive surgery, payment options accepted. The doctor works out of multiple offices so availability in Bakersfield is limited and the office is very busy so there is often a wait ... the two small reasons the 5th star is missing.

Love this place! The nurses were incredibly nice and helpful, they treated my dog with excellent care, clean office, easy to find, and the Vet that helped us was very informative and easy on the eyes. The two downfalls... Only open on Wednesdays and in Bakersfield. I live 50 miles away, they were the closest animal specialty surgeon I could get on short notice- but I'm extremely pleased with the outcome even though it cost me an arm and a leg, my dogs health and ability to walk on all fours again is worth it, and I guess that's my fault for not having pet insurance. Altogether they made an extremely stressful situation a lot more bearable, thank you all for your professionalism and kindness!
