The Best vet clinic around! Dr.Rich has been my Corgi's Dr. Since I adopted her, always Thorough in treatment, explaining health, treatment and keeping cost down. The staff are all kind, friendly, professional. Never have I been disappointed with Animal Medical Center!!!

I've brought my animals to AMC for almost 20 years. I've had AMC large animal to the house for ranch calls and have brought dogs,cats, and parrots to small animal. Both Dr.Rich Jackson,his brother Kent and his staff have been family to my pets large and small for years.

I've been very patient w/ this Vet office and have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I wouldn't recommend this vet office because of their lack of professionalism and timeliness. I used to live in Auburn and this was the closest Vet office at the time a couple years ago. Even then their front desk workers, talk very condescendingly and not like real humans speaking to humans. I ignored this annoying customer service voice they portray because they sound like young girls who just haven't learned how to use bed side manner yet. I've been here 3-4x. I recently brought my dog in to get updated shots, get medication and run a lab test for a concern I had. The Vet let me know I should get a call either way if my dog tested positive or not. I currently live in Sacramento and had to drive back the next day just to pick up medication. When I arrived, there were no customers parked in the Lot at 1pm and someone answered the phone after a couple minutes, when I let them know I just needed to pick up the medication the front desk girl put me on hold for 15 minutes..... Probably would've been longer if I didn't hang up and call back. If the parking lot had people waiting, I would understand but when I expressed my concern the front desk people again use a fake and condescending tone and told me that even if there aren't customers, they're busy. Okay, I get that but I was just picking up medication which takes 30 seconds to run out. I had to get back to work and drive back to Sacramento for this medication. Their hours aren't friendly for those who also work office hours. However, the final straw was when I chose to be extremely patient in getting my dogs lab results back. I waited 22 days for them to call me back and confirm if my dog was sick or not.... I called and the first thing I asked was when someone should hear back on a lab result, the women said usually the next day...... She said there was note in their system that someone left me a VM. I did not receive a call nor a VM, so someone lied. The fact that someone lied and could've potentially allowed my dog to stay sick is just cruel. This place just sucks and I can't waste anymore time or money on a business who doesn't have bed side manner or treats customers in a timely manner. 22 days to wait on lab results is ridiculous

We recently had the Animal Medical Center keep our dog Rudy for two days while we were on a much needed getaway to Reno. Molly came out to our car and Rudy was happy to see her as usual. They trimmed his nails and took great care of him. The entire staff of this Center is excellent and we highly recommend them.

Super helpful, had to take one of our chickens in short notice. The vet was very friendly knowledgeable and seemed to really care for her. Even if she's just a chicken.

These people are efficient and friendly...they have you stay in your car & let them know you've arrived via your call to them. They send out a medical person who takes your animal inside. Afterwards, they bring it back out to you, tell & take your payment and you leave. My dog had vaccinations and liked the handler so much, he started to follow her back into the very place they put needles in his body!

Busy, as most veterinarian places are. Took my bird in but the information for his well being was limited, but birds are exotics so it goes with the territory. Cant give a 5 or 4 star because it was my first visit. I was expecting some kind of treatment for my bird but, got an overdose of information I already knew. And it cost me 100 bucks for ????

Came in for my cat when she was passing some string. Everyone was very polite and professional. When the vet, Dayna Mills I believe, called to update me on my cats condition she was extremely helpful and answered all my questions patiently. Instead of wanting to do unnecessary testing I was told to save my money for when I really needed it. I would recommend them in case of emergency.

As always for us they are the best! That is why we have been going here even when we moved out of to area! They have been doctors for 7 dogs 4 Newfoundlands 1 Great Fane two rescues and 1 cat.

I've had the misfortune of taking my dogs to 4 different Veterinarian clinics in the last 4 months. The two appointments at AMC Grass Valley have been by far the best experiences. Very short wait times to get in (less than 15 minutes), pet was treated quickly and released in well under an hour. Staff was understanding and treated our pet with kindness, Doctor Mario came out to talk to me face to face both times, and the bill didn't give me a heart attack. I highly recommend!

We recently got a puppy and after reading all the great reviews for animal medical center we selected them as our vet. Our first appointment went okay, not great, but not terrible. When we returned a few weeks later for updated shots we received similar service, nothing I would write home about but nothing that made me feel they could not provide services for our pup. So, we booked our next appointment with them again. When we came to this appointment, they asked how is everything going? any concerns? And we told them we had concerns he had an ear infection to which they replied we do not have an appointment with a veterinarian, and he would not be able to be seen for this issue. First, I was shocked because we had requested appointments with a veterinarian not a technician, so this was news to me. I honestly can't say if my dog has ever seen a veterinarian there or they just have technicians seeing the animals and a vet signing of on this. I was surprised by this and received no effort to schedule another appointment to have his ear infection addressed. When I asked if I should find another vet who can treat my dog and I received radio silence. I would understand if I was asking for some in-depth procedure that was not scheduled but I am literally asking for the veterinarian to see my dog who I had scheduled an appointment with. I work in healthcare myself it is not very time consuming to examine an ear and prescribe ear drops. I requested that they see my dog for his updated shots and if they could please have someone take a quick look in his ear that it would be appreciated. Fast forward an hour later, they call to collect payment and we had to ask them to bring him out to the car because they thought they had already done that. How did you lose my dog inside your facility? When they finally returned our puppy to us, they made no mention of the ear infection or attempt to schedule another appointment. To make matters worse when I looked at his rabies certification it says, "I hereby certify that I have vaccinated this animal in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendation for the vaccine used on the above date." This only added to my frustration because he clearly saw a veterinarian who chose not to examine his ear, or they have technicians who are administering vaccines that must be administered by a veterinarian. Clearly, we have found another veterinarian who indeed has treated our dog for an ear infection. This is not a clinic I would recommend if you are looking for quality service and a veterinarian who truly cares about the service they provide.

I like Animal Medical Center, we had a chicken that needed to be put down and they were very kind to my daughter's and the hen. Now we have been taking our 2 dogs to them and one dog has seizures so she is on medication and they are very good about filling her prescription. My other dog gets ear infection and itchy skin and they are the only vet that gave me medication for him and he is not so itchy and no more ear infections!! Its amazing wish I would have taken him to them years ago before my old vet destroyed my dogs ear drum.

I cant say enough about the Animal Medical Center. We have two amazing little rascals; A brother and sister team of ten year old Boston Terriers who have had the benefit of being cared for by the nurturing and professional team of Vets, Techs and office staff of this incredible facility since they were eight weeks old. We recently had a scare with our little girl when an unusual looking mole popped up on her side. We took her in and had it tested. The initial assessment ran the range of severity. Obviously we were concerned and upset as to the possibilities that it could be cancer. Spread and degree were the main issues if it turned out to be the worst case scenario. Although the professional and gifted Dr. Kent Jackson advised us that there were many unknowns and tried to ease our concerns with encouraging words; We were still on pins and needles waiting for the lab results. The appointment was on a Thursday and we were told results would be back by Monday. The results came back earlier and guess who called us from his house (on a sat. day off). Dr Jackson to tell us that it was a benign tumor and that our little girl would be fine. Just wanted to express my deep appreciation for their standard of care and the sincere love that they show to their patients and the obsessed parents that follow behind them on their people leashes.
