My husband trimmed my cat't nail a bit deep and it was bleeding, so we took our cat to Alhambra Veterinary Hospital. At the beginning, the vet were very nice and checked his nail, says she will clean the nail and put some medicine on it. I trusted them, during the procedure, I heard my cat screaming (there is only one cat, and all other pets are dogs), when they bring my cat out, they show me the nail, they cut it all the way back saying this is how it works. I was confused because all the other vet (those vet I went before and the NKLA organization) told me never cut it all back because it connected to the nerves, and the it will hurts as hell. So the vet at this hospital saw I was worried about it, she took my cat back and said I will give him some pain killer. I didn't know if this pain killer is really for my cat or just to comfort me and make me feel better... they also injected antibiotic 10 DAYS DOSAGE ALL AT ONCE into my cat.... But I really don't understand is this really necessary to cut the nails all the way back? They just made it worse and use more medications to charge more money. I don't care to spend money if it is a reasonable procedure! But I called 2 other vets later to fully make sure if they will do the exact same procedure, they all said if it keep bleeding then I should bring him to the vet, but if it stoped bleeding, then I don't need to worried about it. I am so regretting that I didn't called them at first, my cat stopped bleeding once I got to this vet... the front desk representative told me it will be more expensive if I go to other pet hospital, then they charged me $300... YES of course you charged $300, because you cut the nail all the way back to the root of it, and it doesn't even necessary! they also claimed that I am not the vet, they are the vet. But then why you cut it all back when it stopped bleeding? The front desk told me if your nail clipped, you should PILL YOUR NAIL OFF! Are you a doctor then?? Does anyone experienced this, will the cat's nail grows back, and most important questions, is this procedure really necessary?

I’ve recently moved to LA and for this obvious reason was distraught when my puppy became very ill. After visiting other veterinarians and not feeling comfortable with their diagnosis, I was introduced to Heidi. The care, the thought and experience behind Heidi is second to none. At first sight she knew what was wrong with my pup and it was distemper. She gave me the support I needed and the best treatment my puppy could ask for. I could not recommend Heidi enough. Her team are also just as amazing. Real care, real experience behind them. I unfortunately lost my puppy to the virus. And I’ll take this opportunity to say ‘adopt, don’t shop’ and do extensive research before you buy a puppy from any live website. Ask all the right questions. Ensure they haven’t been mistreated and check their fur to make sure they haven’t been dyed from white to resemble a golden color. A reputable breeder won’t meet you at a Starbucks or a parking lot. And a purchaser should always visit the breeders home to check that they are legit. A legit breeder will never have anything to hide. Profit should never come before innocent lives.

I've been going here for years and doctor Carrillo has always treated my dog and me with great care and when I come back for a follow up on my dog she doesn't charge me. The price is very affordable and fair. I recommend to everyone to take your pets here for good health.
