Banfield Pet Hospital Albany, California

Takes forever to get dental for my dogs and months for an appointment. Used to be faster now they take more customers than thay can handle.

The Vet was so good. Very informative. The staff was exceptional and even came to the car to get our dog Jack. Best Banfield! Is a stand alone clinic in Albany. Worth the extra 15 minutes to get there ????

When your dog I'd sick they don't try to get them in to see the doct.

This is a friendly but busy Banfield location. I was able to call to make an appointment and be seen within 1-2 weeks. However, do not expect to use this hospital for immediate care. My dog had a stomach problem one weekend and I was told to go elsewhere because their staff was too busy. Unlike many other locations, this Banfield is not associated with an onsite Petsmart. Their COVID policy is currently to have you call when your appointment is ready, and then one of their staff will greet you at the door. The vets are very prompt with their care, knowledgable, and incredibly friendly. It was a little thing, but one of the vets chatted on the phone with me about her recommended shampoos and conditioners (my dog has been having dry skin since moving here to CA). I really appreciated the time and kindness of the Banfield staff here. Just be sure to schedule your appointments well in advance.

Banfield has one of the most caring and loving pet veterinarians. They always take care of all your needs and are very reliable, very affordable too.

My dog loved everyone there, and this was her first time at this clinic. She came out happy, happy, even though she had had a thorough exam, blood draw, and vaccines. She thought it was a spa day with really nice people!

Rebecca was SO HELPFUL! We found a lost dog, and brought it to Banfield, which was great. Rebecca scanned his microchip, and she called several phone numbers and investigated and was able to contact the owner and reunite them!

Today the Vet was leaving her comforted at her door with a very wounded dog. She became a hero and took the dog to the hospital. SHE'S A REAL HERO.

Everything was great! staff was super helpful/friendly. Only problem is its hard to make an appointment thats not a month later..

Reasonable prices. Great advice over the phone. Dr Ochi responded the next day via a vet tech after my 11 year old dog had a seizure. Perception refills are so easy. They come out to your car if you have a credit card on file for payment. Location is conveniently located near SPROUTS and Pet Food Express.

They are exceptionally well trained at keeping my dog stress free and happy!

I love everything about the place. I trust them with my Nova . Best advice one can seek. Tips on how to keep your fur baby healthy. Very clean and appreciate how Banfield are following the proper protocols for COVID-19. Anyways, thank you Essential Workers your awesome.

Great pet hospital with awesome staff

They never available whenever my dogs are sick and asking to go emergency hospital even though I pay $50 per month. That is $600 for no services provided. When I tried to cancel the plan they asked me to pay $350 for my dog's annual check up! He only goes once a year and get regular vaccines and it is no additional charge for regular check-up if keep paying $50 per month but if I want to get out the plan it cost $350. The regular check up should never cost much, moreover why I have to pay $600 a year for nothing? There is a lawsuit against the Banfield and I am going to join.

Was apprehensive about what to expect while dropping off Joe-Joe for his comprehensive evaluation visit. As it turned out, my feelings were unwarranted. The staff members were completely patient and understanding, and helped me through every step of the way. My family and I love being Banfield team members.

OMG these people are amazing. Even though my dog didn't make it, I promise you these folks are the best. Especially TaLethia in the Albany office, super bomb and awesome person that too care of us like it was her child!! Hats off to that awesome individual

I just say I have used this company for 14 years and never had an issue with the Gellert location. The Gellert location is far more busy but maintain proper scheduling and use a far more professional staff. Albany we use as we moved close to this location in early 2019. The Albany location struggles to schedule Clients Appropriately. They have cancelled and rescheduled a simple comprehensive exam 4 TIMES! The first time was due to Covid-19 (fair enough). The second time was due to not having proper Doctor staffing to accommodate a weekend appointment. The third they called to push my appointment by a week as they didn’t have proper scheduling. Then... Today I went to do a drop of comprehensive exam that I confirmed on last Friday. “Oh we are open Easter”. My husband called to confirm this morning before we left the house. I was 8 minutes late due to traffic and they would see us!! Keep in mind the website states a 15 minute window for lateness. Basically the tech is wanting to be lazy (awesome). So after you all have thrown me for a loop rescheduling over several weeks your tech enjoyed wasting my time again and denying us at the door. (Major disappointment and I will be looking into alternative options as your customer service is less than acceptable). A bit of advice is treat people as you wish to be treated. I pay monthly to ensure a health plan for both of my dogs and I can’t even see a doctor due to the front of office staff not having it together. VERY DISSATISFIED. I am thinking durning all of this... where is your maanger? BE BETTER Banfield.

Very sweet people and good veterinarian who took their time and was caring. Didn't give me a clear resolution on why my cat is losing hair but hard to diagnose I guess. X did give me meds for symptoms
