Great, efficient service! Our precious cat Augie has an eye injury. He was diagnosed and treated in a timely manner. He is home and healing well. Thankful for this place! I highly recommend!!

They were able to squeeze me in on 1/16/2022 when no other urgent care/vet would. My cat ingested onions. Their staff is very friendly, with good memory and made me feel welcome. It was a breath of fresh air. Their facility was also very nice and clean. Great place!

Damaris and Dr Carin were absolutely wonderful and I am grateful they were able to fit my dog in at such a busy time and help ease his pain.

I brought my pet in last night and she needed emergency surgery. No other vet surgeon would take her in the area. These amazing women not only immediately took my pup in for her surgery, they were professional, kind, and very equipped for a last minute surgery. My dog is now healing at home with me. They left me feeling capable and safe again. People’s animals are there best friends and this urgent care vet facility knows that. Thank you so much Ladies, you are beyond appreciated by me and everyone who knows my pup.

Incredible service! They helped our sweet cocker spaniel who was suffering from an allergic reaction to an insect bite. We arrived at 9PM and they took him in and treated him and we were out of there by 11PM. Wonderful experience. Our pup started doing much better immediately. We had taken our pup to another nearby vet who failed to actually treat his symptoms. So so glad we found this hidden gem when we did. The vet was also so wonderful and so were the staff. Prices are also reasonable. Thank you so much!!!

We had a terrible accident happen the other day that left my sweet boy with a cracked pelvis. They took amazing care of him and were extremely understanding even as I was calling anxiously to get updates. So many places have tried to upsell this or that expensive medicine or whatever, but they were short and sweet and to the point with it. I highly recommend them if you have an after hours issue with one of your pets❤ they took care of my boy when we couldn't get in to anyone else. (We are from out of state)

I've had dogs my entire 35 years of life and have seen over a dozen vets during that time. I can confidently say that Dr. Karen and the whole group at Oaks are by far the absolute best. The team is ALWAYS accessible when you call for an update, and its so obvious they have such strong compassion for their furry patients. They are precise with what needs to happen, without ever "up-selling" you. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Everything about this practice is top of the line. The staff and doctors couldn’t be better and I’ve never felt like I was paying emergency prices. The best!

This is the ONLY place I will go! Everyone is the best. I know when my fur-babies are in need they will be treated with extreme care. Whether it has been for urgent illness, which they have always treated successfully, or at my the darkest hour of loss, they are professional and caring every step of the way. I am a Practice Manager at a Veterinary Hospital and will always refer here for urgent after hours care with total confidence. I rest assured that our Patients and their Owners will be cared for as I have always been. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to both of the extraordinary Doctors and their staff!

Only care about the money, no empathy!

We brought an injured hummingbird to this clinic late at night. No other clinic would take wildlife and the wildlife rescue was not open that late. They promptly came out for the bird and brought it straight into the back for the vet. They handled themselves very professionally and with a sense of urgency. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my pet to them based off this experience. They truly care about animals - treating wildlife without hesitation and at no cost. Thank you Oaks Veterinary staff!!

My dog had an issue with his eye that was getting worse. My vet couldn’t take me for another 7 days, so I asked a friend who they went to and later when I just couldn’t wait for the appointment because he seemed like he was in too much pain I found Oak Vet Urgent Care. I live in Santa Monica so it was a bit of a trek but well worth it. **Please note this review was written during the Covid 19 pandemic so we had to stay in our cars and our animals were taken in to be seen by the vet. From the moment I called to tell them I was there I felt like I was in good hands. The staff was all kind, easy to talk to, non judgmental, and you could tell they really loved what they did. I did wait a bit but only because their were other animals with much more critical life threatening conditions. And the staff checked in on me and my dog as time passed so I never felt ignored or like he wasn’t important. It made me feel more comfortable really to know that if my dog needed medical attention he would be prioritized. I was happy to wait for this reason. Rachel was the doctor that saw Charlie (my dog). She was kind and personable, knowledgeable and explained what was going on with Charlie in a way anyone could understand. She genuinely cared and although she was very busy took the moment to make me comfortable. I really appreciated that. Overall the staff making me feel calm and safe made Charlie feel the same. I’m grateful a place with this many big hearted animal and human loving people exist. Also....their office is beautiful. I ran in to use the bathroom and have never been in such a nice vet office.

I am a lifelong animal rescuer and activists. I primarily work with and rescue dogs and cats. “Oak Veterinarian Urgent Care” has helped me from time to time when I find a wildlife that needs medical attention and (or) to be rehabilitated. Although I have not personally met the vets at Oak Veterinary Urgent Care I certainly can tell you that the staff is very kind and compassionate.The doctors and staff at Oak Veterinarian have never turned me away when I have called them regarding a wildlife that needs medical attention.They have helped me save lives when most other veterinarian hospitals do not offer medical care nor rehabilitation for wildlife animals. My belief is that ALL animals deserve to have medical care and to live a long healthy happy life !! It is evident that the amazing veterinarian doctors and staff seem to have the same philosophy… I appreciate and love everyone at Oak Veterinary Urgent Care ????

Great experience. We had a very sick dog, who felt lousy. We took him in late. They were upfront with the costs and took all necessary measures. Very professionals and kind.

Today was the first time we’ve visited this vets office. Our vet was already closed when we realized we needed to take our little cocker into to be seen. He had been experiencing diarrhea and some vomiting throughout the night and day so we called in a little panic but they quickly assured us that we could come as a walk in right away. When we arrived they were great about coming out quickly to check us in (being compliant with all of the covid precautions) and gave us a detailed timeline of what to expect. Our little boy was anxious to be going (as were we because he’s got a long history of serious health issues) BUT they eased our minds with the prompt call from the vet who went over her diagnosis and allowed our shopping list of questions. We felt SO comfortable discussing the plan over the phone that he was being fully cared for and not rushed. All the vet techs that we worked with were awesome and accommodating. We highly recommend this office for your any of your sweet fur babies!

Amazing. So kind and the entire team are wonderful people. Everyone that I've referred to them give rave reviews and when I called for my own kiddos they were patient and caring with me over the phone.

I found this place through a FB group. I had called our regular vet and local emergency vets. Either they were not available, super long wait hours, or they were gonna charge arm and leg. My dog bumped his head against my bed frame. There's a cut above his eye. Nothing serious as he was still walking and eating but I wanted to make sure he was fine. I called this office. They said it was $68 just for the consultation/diagnose. I had to ask the twice because I know there are regular vets in my area who charge more than that for REGULAR hours. They told me the wait time is between 45 minutes to 1 hr. I drove there. Due to COVID, we had to wait in the parking lot. They met us to take down some info/fill out paperworks but we still needed to stay outside before my dog could be seen. Understandable. We were told there were 2 pets ahead of us. 1hr later, no updates. The 2 pets ahead of us had gone into the office, come out and left. So, I called. This is where things got miscommunicated, I was there there were already other animals in the office (??). This was never mentioned. All I was told was that there were 2 pets ahead of us, that's it. We waited for another 30 minutes. My dog was finally seen. They cleaned up his wound and gave him antibiotics. Everything came out at $118.10. very reasonable. Now, despite the small miscommunication. I evaluated my experience based on pricing and overall service. The pricing and the overall service were great.. so I'd recommend this place. In fact I already have.. to my roommate when one of his cats was having issues a few days later. My only suggestion to this place... while pet parents are waiting in the parking a lot, please keep us updated. I don't mind waiting longer but if you say it's minutes - 1 hr and it hasn't happened yet.. give us a call... keep us updated. let us know what's going on. esp during covid and we have to wait outside. this is an emergency clinic after all.

Complete lack of empathy, no sense of urgency, unorganized and unprofessional! I waited over 4 hours to get helped with 2, 3 day old puppies and a nursing dog mommy. My dog had a retained placenta after she gave birth and had already started an infection. Although Dr. Rachel was good in trying to help me by giving my dog the proper medication, she sent my dog and said if her placenta didn’t pass, I would have to come back the next day to complete an emergency surgery. The next day I called and explained that my dog didn’t expel her placenta and I needed a follow up to make sure she was ok. I spoke with Marleen and Dr. Karen that refused to see my dog, by saying I don’t have an emergency and I would have to check in with her regular physician. A complete different information than what Dr. Rachel had advised. Now I have to start new at a new clinic, because of their unprofessional ethics.

My wife just called about our dog having eaten some fabric from a toy she was chewing on and swallowed and the person on the phone told us exactly how to handle it. Fortunately we were able to induce vomiting and all is well. Thank you to whoever was so kind enough to help us out. Hopefully we never have a reason to meet this wonderful person in person, but with two pups you just never know.

Worst place ever...... I decided to go here based off of google reviews. Worst mistake i could of made. I took one of our dogs here because she was sick wouldn’t eat or drink anything. They took my dog was not allowed to go with her came out with my dog an hour later and all they said is “give her these pills” And handed me 3 sets of pills. Nothing was said about what could possibly be wrong with her I asked them about weight and temperature and nothing I asked what the pills were for and no response. Took her home not knowing anything I paid over $300 for them not to give me any feedback. Took her to my vet 2 days later where the vet was shocked that they didn’t explain anything about what they did nor did they put anything in her file as it was requested. Honestly waste of money and she also had an allergic reaction to medication. Save your money don’t make same mistake as I did I thought based on reviews I was good. Never will I go there again!

I can not give enough praise for this office. Dr. Carin and staff were so kind and reassuring. The office is beautiful, calm, clean and I immediately felt like my boy Henry Hissinger was in good hands. I was right. I would drive from anywhere to come here and receive the service I received. Awesome.
