Dr. Shively is the best vet in Texarkana. If you are looking for a new vet or just a change, I highly recommend this vet. He is kind and thoughtful, as well as his entire staff. Their prices are reasonable and their care for animals is exceptional!

I have used Dr. Shively for over twenty years, first for my pit bull, Xena, who lived to 18 years and when it came time to put my sweet girl to sleep, the staff were so kind to this broken hearted doggie mom. Now my Precious is 7 years old and they take the same good care of her as they did my first fur baby. I would go no place other than Jim Shively and State Line Animal Hospital.

Dr Shively and his staff have been wonderful to my family and our fur-babies over the past 15 years. And when my sweet elderly dog Ella got very sick a few weeks ago, they tried so hard to help her. We ended up having to put her down today to end her suffering, and Dr Shively and Amber were absolute angels. They made this absolutely horrible time for my family a little bit better. They really do care about the animals they care for and it shows.

I needed medical records to take to another vet for a 2nd opinion. They said they tried 3 times to fax them. My 2nd vet never received them. When I wanted to pick them up they said they will only fax them. They did send an email to 2nd vet but only shot records. I had a procedure done by them, which the 2nd vet needed the medical report on. Their non-compliance is unheard of. Other vets gladly supply this information. I will be forced to have the same procedure done again and it ain't cheap. Looks kinda suspicious, doesn't it?

Dr. Shively does everything he can to keep our fur babies healthy and he does everything in his power to help you stay in your budget!! In my opinion, he is the best vet in our town! Melanie Easley
