When we needed a vet for our prairie dog, we were so thankful that Dr. Hardy was willing to see her. He was the perfect vet for us. He did exactly what was needed but didn't push to do more. We didn't want her put through unnecessary stress. Dr. Hardy was wonderful with her. We were lucky to find him.

My friend Miss Wiggy & I (the lit'l blu + grn Half-Moon Conure on my shoulder in pic) frequently visit Dr. Hardy & staff, @ J.R. Animal Hospital, & are always treated with the utmost respect - from start to finish - every time. I've been to other avian vets here, & without going into details, let me just say, I was appalled. Hardy is truly a bird whisperer - if he can't find the answer to the problem, he seemingly does not sleep, til he does. When my bird was very sick, he even took him home overnight, to personally keep an eye on him. He really goes the extra mile, and that meant a lot, to me. No other vet has ever done that. This is the best Veterinarian in the world. They've done a lot for my Coco. I really appreciate all the staff that helped me when I was having a medical emergency. I'll never forget it and I'll never go to another veterinarian again. Absolutely amazing Doctor and all the staff too. Thank you so much for helping me.

Dr Hardy is great with exotics, but one of his office staff is rude and unwelcoming. His knowledge is worth the condescension, but I wonder if the owners know how their employee behaves.

Took my bird here shortly after they had started self mutilating their wings. Luckily the vet knew exactly what they were looking for and explained it to me afterwards. I had am amazing experience. Thank you for making it easy for me.

I was seeking a second opinion for my doxie's teeth removal procedure. I took her for a yearly exam and she was treated for whipworms and got her yearly medication for a reasonable price. The quote I got on her teeth was half of what my previous vet had quoted and they talked me through the thorough procedure and addressed all risks. I really appreciated their time they took with my dog and explaining her issues to me. Will continue using them for all my pets!

We only take our cats to this clinic. They are very friendly and do what they love. We were recently there and we waited in the car while our fur-baby was in seeing the doctor. She came out calm and didn't cry on the way home. I would recommend everyone take their pets here!

Best veterinarian around!! He knows animals

I take all my birds an hour away to this vet rather than any vet near me. It is hard to find aviary vets that know what they are doing and loves the animals as much as they do.

They were very cooperate and easy to work with.

They are simply the best. Doesn't matter is it's a dog or tortoises, I trust them with all my pets.

Very nice and polite staff. They didn't try to upsale stuff for my dog.

Asked for some exotic animal care. We have been playing phone tag since. The bad part, I'm only available after 4:30 pm, and when I return phone calls, the vet is busy with clients.

They pay attention to your needs

Simply needed to board my animal for a few days. I understand that with COVID-19, curb side service is warranted. What I do not understand is how it took sitting outside when it was 91 degrees for an hour and a half to pick up my animal! After an hour I called, left a message and 20 minutes later left another message. Although they are flexible and comparable pricing, I will not be boarding here again.

Took my Mr Kitty and Storm my baby girl dog in for shots and nail trimming. Mr Kitty no issues but my girl doesn't like new people but vet and tech figured out a way to make her feel comfortable and she got her shots and nails trimmed and walked out of office with a new tech friend.

Everyone there is Very Friendly and Professional and seem as though they really do care about Our fur Babies.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Davis for a little over 15 years. She is an excellent Vet. She was so great with both of my labs. Very compassionate and caring. I lost both of them, one at the age of 12 and the other right before Christmas of last year at the age of 15. I recently got a new puppy, so I scheduled an Appt. With Dr. Davis. He needed his Rabies shot, a checkup and I noticed he had a few fleas so I needed to get something to kill the fleas. Flea control was discussed but none was given. The compassion and caring was just not there with this pup, so I'm looking for a new Vet for Cooper. It truly saddens me. Just my experience today.

I always enjoy the times that I take Ginger to James River Animal Hospital. I started going there about 5 years ago. I had Ginger spade. In 2016 she almost died. Dr Davis let me bring Ginger to the office during my lunch and pick her up after work. She saved Gingers life that day and I will always be grateful to her. The staff is very knowledgeable, and friendly. They treat Ginger like she is their own pet, and me with respect.

These people are so friendly and so good with our animals. We were going to a vet in Springfield and they were so over priced. We changed to James River Animal Hospital and they are about half of what Springfield veterinarians charge. I'm so happy we found this vet. Thank you James River Animal Hospital!
