We recently took our dog into the Cordova Pet Med Emergency Center. The front desk attendant informed my wife that she would be informed of any changes in her condition, and if the bill would be greater than $500. We received three updates over two days from two different doctors. One doctor said "your dog is improving" the of doctor said "no improvement" and recommended putting her down. I now have a dead dog body and an payment of $3,000. Not cool!!!!!!!

My daughter took her cat to have a would looked at after regular hours.They said it would be $1500 to repair it. I asked if the cat was stable and if I could take it to my own vet so I didn't have to pay their ridiculous rates. They said yes. I said I only agreed to pay for an examination. They charged my daughter $400 and told her that I said it was OK. That was a bold face lie. They agreed to call me before charging anything. These people are crooks. Update: My vet in Collierville charged $170 for the same service they were going to charge $1500 for.

I don’t know who Jessica is , but I called with concerned for my animal ; only to get hung up. Very unprofessional.

Do not bring your pet here. These people killed my baby. I bought my cat here Journee Sunday and they discharged her to go home, tell me why I just rushed her here to this clinic and she died. Get this they blaming us. I saw all the bad reviews before brining her here but this is the only after hours hospital for animals. Stay away, they will take all your money and do mothinh for your pet.

You’re better off driving to an emergency vet in Nashville. You’ll have, at the very least, 5 hours in the parking lot before you hear from them, even when you’re the next in line. They don’t give any updates.

Extremely disappointed in the service here. Covid practices are horrible and they really do not take care of your pet. Money hungry and I still had to put my cat down. Absolutely horrible experience.

Don’t consider yourself an emergency center in if you except pet parents to call ahead of time to make an appointment…. For an emergency.

-READ THE REVIEWS- horrible for emergencies go somewhere else.. they may have nice and skilled doctors if you make an appointment but emergency service is a nightmare !! You will wait at least few hours for X-ray, god forbid you need something more They are rude and aggressive towards scared pet owners .. provide very few information I regret coming here

Expensive!!! $1146.00 to overnight a pet for observation.

I called to get help for my dog and the First Lady I spoke with the receptionist was so nice and helpful, she put me on hold to speak to a nurse and the nurse was horrible. She acted like it wasn’t her problem or job to help me or my dog and basically told me to go somewhere else. She wouldn’t respond to me more than one word answers over the phone and was the rudest I’ve ever experienced. I will never go back.

Do not bring your pet here in a true emergency. You’ll end up waiting 4 hours in the car for them to just take your pet inside.

This is the worst vet I ever went to they sent my puppy home that was seizing with no medication and said the only option was to put him down and my regular vet made sure he survived I’ll never go here to petmed ever again and they told me it’ll take 3,000 to fix my puppy when my regular vet charged me 189 so I wouldn’t recommmend this vet to anyone

If I could give more than five stars I would. This team was the picture of professionalism, care and knowledge. You can tell they genuinely love animals. The vet tech who brought my pup in and out of the clinic was so happy and affectionate , you could tell she adores her job. The doc was great and very helpful. Top notch.

Got off work at 2:30 am from doing 12 hour shift , drove 40 mins to Atoka to get my dog . Drove 45 mins to Cordova to this location because my dog was bleeding . I called upon my arrival and one of the ladies came and got my dog . I waited 2 hours and someone called saying the vet could not see my dog for me to try another location before they close . By the way which was on summer or horn lake ????

Over 5 hours waiting. Little to no communication. I will not ever do this again and will Try another facility.

I received absolutely no communication. I called and was told that I would speak to a nurse and then my cat would be seen. After no update and a hour later, I had to call back to ask for an update and was told that I would get a call soon. Three hours later, still no communication. I feel disrespected for both myself and cat. I am horrified for those whose animals are in critical condition as this facility does not have the proper urgency/concern to assist them. Customer service is absolutely ridiculous and distasteful. 1/100 recommended.

Please, please give credence to the other reviews that mention the astronomical prices and the miniscule amount of compassion. Please don't skim those reviews and decide to give them your business anyway. If you love your pet and if you love having money to survive each day, then I suggest you look elsewhere.

Worst emergency pet hospital I have ever utilized. As someone who has been in close ties with the pet industry for over a decade, I adamantly suggest any alternatives to this business. With a dog wounded and bleeding in my backseat, they did not collect them for three hours. Instead of being helpful, the tech argued with me about requiring all the detailed knowledge of any medications, allergies, and flea control: I was there for stitches. Once they collected my dog, after waiting for those first three hours, another full hour went by with me waiting only for them to call me to inform me of something I already knew: the dog needed stitches. Meanwhile, they had done nothing to treat the dog or mitigate pain. I ended up leaving my dog overnight since they were closing. Bottom line: these people do not care about your pets. They only care about your money.

Terrible service had us waiting almost 2 hours wait for my dog to get tooken care of

This place is extremely high for medical services. My dog was there 3 times.. I could have bought a car for the money they charge. The sad thing is finally he was referred to Ms.state vet school by his regular vet who found the correct diagnosis in less than one day. The stress on my dog and me and the financial burden was for nothing.

My kitty was super ill the day I brought her here to the emergency center. She was taken in pretty quickly. Doctors gave me a clear plan of how her hospitalization would proceed in terms of treatments and cost. My sweet kitty stayed here for various days. She received all the care that she needed. Throughout this time, staff and doctors kept me updated of my kitty’s treatment, progress, stability, and overall condition. They answered all of my questions and concerns. My sweet girl has been discharged and is so much better now thanks to everyone that helped her at the hospital. Everyone is incredibly sweet, understanding, and professional.

Today we had to make the hard decision to put down our kitty. The staff was extremely kind and compassionate. Tests were done quickly to help us make our decision. They were most accommodating in the worst of situations. Thank you for being there.

All they care about is the money. My Chihuahua gets hit by a car at 9 o’clock at night. So we go to PetMed to get him checked out, big mistake. For 200 dollars all we had at the time. They look at him hand us some meds and send us home. PetMed wanted to charge us over a 1000 dollars to do some xrays and ultrasounds. I understand that he needs them but because we had only 200 dollars so they couldn’t give us the time of day and didn’t even clean his wounds

I had to come here last minute on a Sunday morning, withMy 2yr old pit, feeling all kinds of emotions on what to expect based off of the reviews. Let me reassure readers that the staff here are very kind, understanding, and patient! They tell you the price of the procedure before performing, so regardless, you have a choice. When it comes to pricing, it costed me $300, but they had patience with me on deciding whether or not I wanted to move forward and how I wanted to pay. Thank you!

I want to just say Thank You! I had to put my beloved cat to sleep suddenly, the staff was so supportive and sensitive to my situation..Being on a tight budget it was refreshing to know that I didn't have to break the bank at a time like this..I would go here without any hesitation.. Thank you

This review is a bit late, but back in June of 2016, I was working at a horse show with my 16yr old dog, Loupe. She has had congestive heart failure for about 3-4 years and she was going downhill really fast (she was perfectly fine the day before) . I knew that her time was up, but I was 8 hours from my regular vet. After calling several vet offices, they were the only ones that would let me bring her in late to get put to sleep. They were very caring and understanding and treated me like I was a long time client. My dog was in absolute comfort and they let me bring her favorite dog bed in for her to lay on while crossing the rainbow bridge. Thank you Petmed for making an extremely difficult time that much easier, I'm forever grateful.

At an “emergency vet” you would think they would do more in the 2 and a half hours I’ve been here than check her vitals. I’ve been stuck in this freaking waiting room with no contact from anyone. Never coming back, and do not recommend them.

Last night was my second visit to Pet Med. The staff has always been kind & compassionate to my Yoshi. Dr. Walsh was sincere and knowledgeable as she explained the diagnosis and possible treatment options very thoroughly and for that I am appreciative. Thank you all!

The entire staff was extremely sweet and caring as we had to say goodbye to our long-time furry family member.
