It is sad that entitled clients like Ms Downes and Ms Ninemire (same family) feel the need to post one star reviews after they were not catered to ONCE. What they will not tell you, or post 5 star reviews about, are the NUMEROUS times they were catered to and seen when they show up late regularly or on an emergency basis. Clients like these could care less that when they are late, then all the following appointments are also seen late. Please take these facts into consideration before leaving one star reviews when it was their own inconsiderate behavior that led to them not being seen late.

My mother has been taking her dogs to Drennan for almost 10 years and this morning he lost our business for good. We have been unimpressed (to say the least) with the service provided for a while now but this morning was the last straw. I brought my moms epileptic chihuahua because the last time he had seizures he seems to have broken a few teeth and it's painful. I was coming from Germantown and the traffic on Germantown parkway was rough so I called to let them know I would be about 10 minutes later. I arrived 8 minutes late and was told if it had been 5 minutes I would have been fine but 8 minutes was too much. 3 minutes? My dog is expected to be in pain for another week over 3 minutes when we have been with him for almost 10 years? Sanchez has had a lot of health issues lately and dr Drennan makes light of them every time I call. On top of that, the girl at the front desk is an absolute nightmare. I am such an easy person to get along with and she was absolutely impossible. It seems other people have had the same experience but Dr. Drennan defends her to the end. I do not know what has happened to this office but I am relieved I'll never be back. I am hopeful the new vet we are going to tomorrow will be able to undo years of poor vet treatment. Please take your dog ANYWHERE else. Animals cannot speak and they deserve someone who pays attention and cares, this place isn't it.

I've used Dr. Drennan for almost 10 years. I have had many dogs/foster dogs but one that would come in multiple times a year to see him for epilepsy. Recently he has hired a new girl at his front desk and she is absolutely the most rude person I've dealt with. It seems other reviews say the same. I had an appointment this morning and traffic caused me to be 8 minutes late. The girl up front informed my daughter (I'm ill and cannot drive so my daughter brought my dog) that my dog could not be seen. She said that 5 minutes was fine but 8 minutes was too much. She claimed they were double booked but there was no one in the building. My dog has painful, loose teeth from his last seizures and luckily another vet can get us in tomorrow. I'm very hurt because I have trusted Dr. Drennan for so long and they were so quick to dismiss my business over 3 minutes. I'm now learning that he may not have been properly treating my dog all this time. As much as I've always respected Dr. Drennan, I recommend that anyone reading this steers clear.

I couldn't ask for a better staff or Doctor for my babies.

My daughter has taken her pets there for years. I have a new pup and knew where to go for sure. Very nice staff and Dr. Drennan is great.

While visiting my mom in Tenn. my tiny little Pomeranian (Knox) had an emergency (he found some rat poison in my mother's walk-in attic). I was soooooo very thankful that Michael @ Drennan Animal hospital immediately took Knox in. They took exceptional care of Knox, keeping watch over him, loving on him & communicating all concerns to me. Knox was fortunate enough not to get sick, all because Michael & staff agreed to see him immediately. Thank you for saving my best friend :) Wonderful caring staff, awesome doctor :)

We were charged for 30 pills for years when the same cost for 180 pills. Nobody informed us because they would fill the minimum unless we ask for more but never informed us. Also our pet was there for 10 days never informed us the pet would not eat and they never informed us. Our pet has since passed away and we feel this is due to not getting the medication this is totally unacceptable and I warn you to ask about fill amounts also asking to be informed if you fur baby is not eating while being boarded. Do not trust them.

The current receptionist at Drennan Animal hospital is extremely rude and condescending when speaking to you. We’ve had a couple of encounters with her that were not very pleasant at all. She has severe attitude problem and shouldn’t be in a position dealing with customers. Due to her attitude and rudeness we have left the clinic to find care for our pets elsewhere. The Veterinarian was great with our pets but the issues in dealing with the receptionist made us leave to find a friendlier place to take care of our pets.

I get my cats nails trimmed regularly every 2 weeks. Always prompt.

I’ve taken my cats here for nearly 14 years. The staff and doctors are very caring.

My husband and I will only take our pets to Michael Drennan. Our dog Ziggy is treated like part of the family. Chris and I trust Dr. Drennan.

I would recommend this Animal Hospital, excellent service, awesome customer service from beginning to end, Dr. Micheal take his time explaining everything that is going on with our pet, and will answer any questions you may have without making you feel rushed, he and Dr. White eased my stress, Dr. White is awesome she also listened to all my concerns and didn't make me feel rushed, they truly care about your pet and your pet well being. The office staff is very professional and stay on top of everything. This is a 10 Star establishment.

I suspect unethical behavior at this office. During this one particular time when I took my pet the second time to receive an injection called Cytopoint which was suggested by Dr. Drennan I asked could I go to the back with my dog while she receive her injection. I was told sure that will be fine. It wasn’t after my dog and I went upfront to pay for the injection, that I was told there will be a charged for going to the technicians area of the office. This has never happened before. I stated to the office help you didn’t mention to me that there will be a charge to go in the back with my dog. She stated because I didn’t ask. Meanwhile the injections were working fine there was no itching or scratching whatsoever. I’ve decided since the injection was working well, that I will start a monthly regiment with this injection. The fourth Injection that my dog received, I get her home and she is scratching and itching if she had never received this injection this went on for several days. Dr. Drennan explain to me because we did not have a normal winter that the dogs in this region was experiencing really bad allergies. Which did not make any sense to me considering the injections were working fine until this fourth injection. My point is this you don’t know what’s going on with your dog if you’re not back there with your dog. They can be charging you for services not being rendered.

Great experience, but soooo expensive! During these times you would think prices would be more reasonable. Not!

My beloved Shih Tzu Max received excellent care from Dr. Drennan and his staff. He lived to be an old man of 16 years thanks to the EXCELLENT care that was provided to him by Dr. Drennan and all his wonderful staff for the past ten years. Thank you Dr. Drennon!

Vet was very thoughtful and helpful, I've taken 2 of my dogs here for emergencies and have been seen in less than 20 minutes. Highly recommend

Dr. Drennan is very compassionate and caring when it comes to my pets and their well being. Have been going to this hospital for over 10 years now and still continue to go there. ❤️????❤️

I was seen quickly. All staff were professional, helpful, and friendly when caring for my cat. Veterinary assistant kept my cat calm the whole time. They also have a flexible schedule and some fantastic wellness programs. Vet was very good at explaining what he was doing and my options moving forward. Wish we'd tried them out sooner! Highly recommend!

We have taken all of our animals here...They are excellent and know our bassett hound Brandy every time she walks in. They take great care of her both when there are problems and when we travel. Never have over charged us and were always willing to explain anything. Update 1/22/2019: Unfortunately our Dog Brandy crossed over the rainbow bridge. The doctors and staff did everything to ensure their research and tests were correct of fast moving cancer and high level of diabetes. They were very patient and loving with us as WE ALL, including doctors and staff that took care of her for 12 years, said our goodbyes to her. They are a loving family and will always take our pets here when we look to have maybe more dogs in the future. Cannot thank them or highly recommend them enough.

Pretty okay place, kind of miss the older exotic pets doctor that use to be here before Drennan bought it out. He’s a good doctor, will always try everything to save your pet at a good price.

We've taken Kate a Bate here since we got her at 2yrs. old. She's 13 now and even though we've moved from our hometown here, whenever we visit, we love going here. She's always treated well, everyone is very gentle and explains clearly what is going on, how we can fix the issue (often allergy inflammation) and the best/cheapest option for our budget. Thank you for always taking care of our best friend and family.

These folks are wonderful! They're all about the animals, not interior decorating and needless foofoo services!

They always take great care of my Charlie Socks. I had separation anxiety when leaving with them during my vacation. They gave me a temporary bit of relief every time I called to check on my fur baby. Their facility is clean, has great parking, has a great location, and wonderful hours.

Dr. Drennan has cared for my two cats, Penny & Presley, since 2010 and now cares for my new rescue puppy, Pearl, as well! I've always received good advice and information to help me recognize signs of illness in my cats. I've also had my pets successfully cared for by the vet technicians as well. The location is convenient, the office is clean, and my pets and I always been treated with respect and concern.
