Disappointing. Dogs are dirty and unexercised. The excuse of lack of volunteers is lame. Set up a Friends of the Shelter and recruit! No wonder the dogs are crazier than any other shelter I ve ever been in. Yuma needs to step up!

I walked in and asked about becoming a volunteer. The snarky lady that manned the front desk lectured me. Felt discouraged. Most shelters I walked into all treated me with more respect than I got here. But the facility was super clean, and the kennels all had fresh water and cot style beds plus unlimited outdoor access. Some of those poor animals looked so scared and needing of a home. Adopt don't shop.

Kennels were clean. Riley was great to work with. There was one front desk person that was less than friendly. Don't let that stop you from trying to adopt or donating. It's the best one I've been to. I will try again to adopt.

We adopted our Ms Bella from here. The people were very nice & knowledgeable. But the best part was getting our precious furbaby.

They were awesome. Very friendly.

My cat was razor burned bad Need more then one set of razors they get to hot when used a lot Very confusing not real organized Love my cats

They accepted our leftover dog food, treats and misc donations from our beloved dog Honey. Thank you

I had a horrible heartbreaking experience my dog was taken here and after only three days i went in they said my pet was in foster care that i could come back to get him today went in with the three hundred dollars when i went in they said they changed their minds and that they determined my home was unfit they never saw my home they discriminated my son cause he was dirty from working in agriculture they assumed he did not have a job they were just so rude and had no intention of giving him back they thought we would not get the money

They were nice and helpful and they did take of my baby Shakira

It's always fun to review all the animals.

This place can be a little bit depressing if you don't like seeing caged animals. However, that being said, they have a very wide variety of pets to adopt, from small dogs to big dogs to cats and several others. Friendly staff and environment. Very knowledgeable and helpful. They have an on-site vaccination clinic for pets along with a spay/neuter clinic. If you're looking for your future fur baby, this is the place to go

A very caring environment and service.

They will not help your animal unless you adopted it from there. Made me wait with a sick pupper for about an hour to tell me no. Doesn't seem that Humane to me...but they are a no kill shelter so I have to say at least 3 stars just for that. I forgot to mention that when I was there they asked that no dogs be let on the floor because they have Parvo in the building.

everyone on staff was very kind. I'm bringing my kitten there to be spade. I love the kitty who runs the office! he loves attention, but watch out he will swipe you a few times!

Very nice people working/volunteering there. They have nothing but love for the animals there. The facility is clean and the cats are well cared for. They are very helpful with the whole adoption experience. They have the pets best interest in mind.

Super friendly, genuine, and really care about their residents! We got the perfect fit for us and our other fur baby!

Went and got a friends dog out that had been impounded.. They were absolutely top rate. Worked w me on the fee getting him out. I thank them and so does Doobie!!!! Thank you so much!!

Attempting to adopt a pet here is near impossible. There is long holds on phone calls that do not get answered, as well as the worst customer service I have experienced. There seems to be an unlimited supply of rudeness without any compassion whatsoever. This is sad considering I used to volunteer at this shelter. For a shelter claiming its capacity is full, they sure make the process as difficult as possible. Id much rather buy from a puppy mill than go through another process with these people.

Excellent staff, varied collection of adoptable pets. You can feel the love in the building.
