My dog always appears happy after her stay.

They have saved us on more than one occasion, we have three large dogs and they are difficult to board. They need to be together and are very rambunctious. Sabino Canyon pet resort has been great and their staff is fantastic!!

Great service! Very helpfully boarding and taking care of my corn snake. Knowledgeable staff. Wonderful atmosphere for all the animals (dogs, cats, reptiles). Friendly staff. Highly recommend. Will use them again if needed in the future.

Our first time boarding our dog and what we were told would happen during our dogs stay vs. what we actually received was pretty upsetting, especially this being our first experience! All they need is better communication and it would have been a 5 star experience!

My Bunny did fine he is a 9 year old Holland Bunny rabbit. He is clean fed and safe. They did a good job. I will definitely come back. He wasn’t even that stressed when I came to pick him up.

This was the 1st time using them. We just used them for one day, but they were very friendly and accommodating. We will use again when you're back up in Tucson.

Absolutely amazing place! They have been so kind and understanding with us as we are rehoming our pup. We can't take care of him because he's very high energy and we have long term injuries that occurred after we got him. We hate when people abandon their pets at boarding places, so they and we have kept up great communication to be sure our buddy is cared for since we can't do it ourselves. Our boy is very happy there and we are more than pleased with the amazing people at Sabino Canyon Pet Resort. Truly great people and services.

Super accommodating. Ended up needing extra days for my dog and they were super flexible and I love the option of getting my dog groomed before bringing him home for an extra charge. And they have so many other add ons for your pets like cuddle time ❤❤

SABINO is a great place for your pets to be cared for. It’s their home away from home! They are very caring and accommodating as well as priced well! We love the staff and will continue to take or 4 legged children here!

Zero stars if I could. Disappointed is an understatement. We bring our dogs here regularly for a normal bath and brush and nail trim. In the past we have had a decent experience, but this time was not good at all. We have a beautiful Australian Sheppard and unfortunately there was some major disconnect and communication. When we went to pick up our dog to our surprise discovered they completely shaved our dog to the lowest possible setting on the trimmer that you could get and in several areas cut into the skin, he’s completely raw in areas! This is not at all what we asked for or is it services that we have ever had, so I would expect clear communication on such a huge cut on a fully haired dog. Our poor dog can’t even lay down he is so sensitive to the touch. I was even more taken back that after reaching out and expressing my concern the kennel owner had an option call me back and instead had the front receptionist call me back to tell me that they would refund the services - which is great - except I feel like that was the easy way out and avoided talking the issues. Communication. The initial problem! My dogs coat may never grow back the same. I’m concerned about, how are you going to prevent something like this to happen again? This is a big mistake - was this someone else’s request for there dog that got mixed up with ours?? What kind of training do you provide for your groomers to properly “groom” an animal? A groom or bath and brush are completely different terms used then “shave.” Completely lost all my trust- not recommend by me!

Melissa did an excellent job on Tillie with her doodle cut. Since this was our first visit, I sent pictures of what her previous grooms looked like and how I wanted her to look. Melissa did awesome. It's hard to find a good doodle groomer too! Also a shout-out to the staff who met me curbside to pick up Tillie and then bring her out to me as well as collect payment from my car.

I boarded my dog here 4 times and sadly the last time I left her there she came home terrified of anyone reaching to pet her. She’s never flinched once in her 3 year old life and it took us an entire week to get her not to flinch when we were going to pet her. I feel terrible she went through something traumatic at this boarding facility. I wanted to trust this place because it’s near my home but I would rather drive 45mins (which I’m doing) to board my dog than make her go through that again. I think they may need to review their caretakers and how they treat the animals.

This place is amazing, the staff are great, it's very clean and spacious (they even have a dog bone shaped pool) and my dog came back happy and healthy. She ate well while she was there, which is always a good indicator. I would not leave her anywhere else in Tucson whenever I travel.

SCPR took excellent care of our kitties. It is easy to see that they enjoy caring for animals and treated our pets as if they were their own. Our cats were well fed and clean when we picked them up after a 10 day stay. Great business and great staff. I will bring my pets there in the future.

My dog spent a week here. Drop off was quick and easy. The staff was friendly and from what I can tell my pup had a good time! Fair prices too. Thanks sabino canyon pet resort!

Worst place! Do not board here. Do not know basics about dog care. My dog came back very hurt and scratched up.

It used to be great service, but went i call to make an appointment no one ever answers, and leave messages never get a response back.

Awesome place to take your dog if you are going out of town, or if you are going to have a long day at the office, and you want to make sure your dog gets plenty of play time.!

Great facility for boarding your pets!

I have lived in town for 24 years and used this business to take care of 3 different dogs over time without issue. However, my last experience was horrific. I returned to town after boarding my Smooth Fox Terrier, Topper, for 4 days with the staff handing me my dog, and telling me he isn't feeling well, and I should take him to the vet. Turns out $2000 later he had swallowed a large rock and needed surgery to remove it. Evidently he did this on the fourth day he was there because until then he was his chipper self the staff told me. Mind you, he got access to the rock during what was supposed to be supervised one-on-one play time that I paid extra for. I gave the girl at the counter copies of my bills and asked for her to forward to the owner to review so possibly I could get reimbursed for my expenses. No phone call to discuss, no apology, nothing. Go elsewhere if you value the safety of your pet.

Edit: I spoke to Courtney, they rectified the issues. If we decide to return I will be sure to update my review further. I will start off by saying we have been using sabino canyon pet resort for close to a year. They have been great except the past couple times. We have boarded our charcoal lab a couple times there had her groomed etc. well I have noticed different people up front recently and things have really gone down hill. Last time I had Cota (my lab) groomed I called and told them I just brushed her and gave her a bath but she got into something and she had a smell to her. I got it off her entire body but didn’t feel comfortable washing her head so that’s where sabino canyon pet resort comes in. I asked for a price, they told me I agreed I brought her in the following day. When I picked her up it was a different price than we agreed upon (more of course) I asked why it was more and they said it was because she smelt and they had to use a special shampoo. I replied with well I told you over the phone she had a smell and was told a different price. Anyway after going back and fourth they finally agreed to refund the additional charge so I moved on. Fast forward to 7/2/2019 we dropped both of our dogs off, when I dropped them off i made sure they still did the courtesy quick bath to make sure they smelt good when I picked them up. They said no we don’t do that anymore and asked if I wanted to pay additional for grooming for both dogs (I chose not to because they were just groomed 3 days prior) Fast forward to today 7/7/2019 my fiancé and I picked up both our dogs put them in the car and before we could leave the parking lot we had to roll down the windows the dogs smelt so bad of urine. My fiancé and I both agreed that’s ridiculous we dropped the dogs off clean they smell like urine now and we just spent over 300 to have them “taken care of” It’s a shame they have gone so far down hill in the past couple months.
