I began seeing Dr. Curtis in January 2021 for the care of my two cats and two dogs. One of my cats, Jonah, was not doing at all well. One of the issues was that he was eating (about five cans of food per day) but continuing to lose weight. He had also been diagnosed with "slow-growing lymphoma". To say that Dr. Curtis was less than pro-active in Jonah's care would be a complete understatement. Each time I saw her she would ask what I wanted to do. Well, I wanted to make my cat feel better. I wanted to understand why he'd dropped from 12 to 6 pounds. Finally, in frustration, I reached out to a vet for whom I had worked in California, who is now retired. He provided specific guidelines and suggestions for a GI panel. When I explained what I been told and by whom, Dr. Curtis's initial response was that my cat didn't need any tests because he "already had a diagnosis". She then chose to "decline further services" for Jonah because I had gone for a second opinion. From January 2021 to January 2022 I had paid Dr. Curtis $2,700 for the care of my pets. The fact that her ego is clearly larger than her sense of sensitivity and responsibility for a critically ill pet is just sickening. I have since found a skilled, compassionate clinic and am much happier. Buyer beware. Since I posted this, a few people have reached out to me to ask how Jonah is doing. Unfortunately, because there was a delay between being dumped by Dr. Curtis and having our first appointment with the new vet, I was unable to provide the necessary care for Jonah and he passed away. Honestly, I've worked with and for many clinics all across this country but Dr. Curtis is the first vet I've ever encountered who appears to possess zero integrity.

Over the years, Dr. Curtis has been a better primary care doc for my many cats than any MD has been for me! The entire staff is so friendly and caring, I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else!

My family has been using this clinic for decades and for generations of dogs. When I got a dog of my own, I brought her here, and received the same, great care that the dogs of my other family members received. I'd recommend this place to anyone who has a furry friend.

I have been to soooo many vets as I've had alot of animals over the years. We also We also spay, nueter and trap feral cats so really have seen alot of practices. At Eastside the staff are very friendly. I had an emergency and the Cat Hospital couldn't get my kitty in. When I called the office staff at Eastside they were kind and got back to me in a reasonable amount of time. The office and rooms were clean and the vet was honest and kind. The office staff explained things well....and it was so much more affordable than most places. Really a good experience and I am switching all my animals over to this clinic now.

This office is very clean and inviting. The front desk staff is awesome but the DR.s are amazing. My little boy had those little "spikes" in his paws and Dr. Joe found them and told me how to remove and prevent going forward. This is my forever vet! Keep up the great work.

Been going to Dr. Curtis for over a decade, and have nothing but positive things to say! Her receptionist Suzanne is always amazing! Quality care, reasonable prices, positive atmosphere, clean and professional environment, no trying to sell you on unnecessary services, never rushed, and always willing to work with you.

I had to make an appointment for my dog last minute for what I was worried might be kennel cough, and they were able to squeeze me in the very next day! The office staff were super friendly and responsive, and the vet was sweet to my dog, listened to all of my concerns, and answered all of my questions. They definitely put me at ease, and provided medicine with instructions on how I can help my dog. The vet also gave me a helpful tip to help prevent kennel cough in the future too! My dog goes to doggy-daycare occasionally and they suggested getting the vaccine every 6 months to help prevent kennel cough, which I had no idea would help and I really appreciate the knowledge. If you’re looking for a friendly vet with staff that love animals this is the place to go. I will definitely continue to bring my pup here for any future needs she might have! Thank you again for the awesome service :)

I recently had an appointment yesterday at 11am for my 2 large dogs. I arrived a bit early and they took me right back. I was very pleased with how the entire staff was courteous and compassionate to me and my dogs needs! Dr. Trueba gave a thorough exam and explained everything clearly. Terri and Karen were so experienced that they were able to trim my overly nervous & protective dog's nails! (Something that had not been done in years due to his temperament) The staff was so in sync that the entire visit was only about 30 minutes! I am very satisfied with my experience and I will be recommending Eastside Pet Clinic to all other pet lovers!

This is the first time I have seen Dr. Trueba (formerly at Wiseman Pet Hospital) since he moved to this location. The staff is great, and everything is super clean. My cat's appointment was at 11, and I was out by 11:25 with his prescription in hand and for under 100 dollars. They also hosed out his crate for me, as Mojo the cat was car sick on his way over. He has a slight nasal infection...the vomit was literally just from the ride. Cats. (I also take my dogs there...who LOVE car car rides.)

Don't believe the few haters that have left bad reviews. Dr Curtis, has done more than a few successful surgeries at a fair cost. These procedures dealt with removing cancer in multiple occasions as well as other invasive operations. For this reason, I drive across town as Eastside Pet is always upfront and honest about what is possible when it comes to my pet’s health. I have been to many other vets and always leave feeling like they were taken advantage of the situation when it comes to cost.

I took my 17 year old cat here, and they were absolutely fantastic. The tech talked to my cat the entire check in which calmed her down. The vet told me details of the exam as she was doing it. And they were fast, even with drawing blood! I will definitely be taking my cat here again, my dog, too!

Dr Trueba was rough and almost cruel to my puppy when I took him in for his shots. When I asked him to please be gentle because he was making the dog cry in pain, he told me my dog was just a good actor! The nurse treated me with no concern or respect when I mentioned it. I won’t ever take an animal that I care about to that hack again.

I have been with Eastside Pet Clinic for 15 years. For the first 10 years, Dr. Curtis was genuinely interested in my animals, spent time during the visit, and staff informed me ahead of time the costs for any treatment. The last 5 years her demeanor seemed just automatic and brief, however I stayed loyal to her and her staff. My last visit in February, I was rushed out due to closing. I wasn’t able to go through certain charges in question. I called the following day and asked calmly about a some specific charges, particularly a 90% price increase for a treatment. I was addressed with a corrosive attack by Dr. Curtis. She yelled at me, would not let me talk, blamed everything on Covid, and hung up on me. I guess when you have a private practice, you can say and do whatever you want and conduct yourself in a very unprofessional manner.
