Bruce is so knowledgeable and patient. Really took the time to make sure I understood the care and training of my new little friend. I definitely recommend Arizona Parrots to anyone looking for a well cared for Parrot/Cockatiel/Parakeet.

This place is amazing. I decided last year to surprise my mom in Arizona with a cocateil bird. I live in NY and spoke to Bruce in the store. He made the process extremely easy for me. My mom was gifted a baby which required hand feeding. Bruce was available to speak with my mom whenever she needed reassurance during the feeding period. Today I called him to ask about a training issue she was having. He immediately responded and spoke with my mom. He also asked for her to call him again in a few weeks to follow up showing how much he cared. I can’t say enough about this good experience and how helpful he was. Purchasing a bird from another state ended up being quite easy. I just wanted to thank him for being so kind and attentive to my moms concerns. She truly loves this beautiful bird and appreciates your help !

This is a difficult review to write. I would give more stars had the situation been different. The ranch itself is great. Birds are clean, healthy, and vibrant. Most are hand-tamed, even the babies. Our situation was a little different. We purchased two baby cockatiels, but they happened to be in a cage with an older gray. All had bonded. We felt wrong by taking only the two, but the gray was more than double the price of the younger birds as it was a resale and had more favorable characteristics. All appeared healthy, active, vocal, and willing to be handled. We never thought to ask for a health verification of the older gray (8 to 9 years old). We have had cockatiels before, and were truly excited to engage with them again. After only about a year the older gray suddenly developed a gasping problem (two days ago) and fluffing in a corner. We knew he had to have a respiratory condition. The two younger cockatiels were fine, in their own cage as the older gray developed less tolerance for them. I took the gray into an Avian expert veterinarian today, and came home alone. Xrays showed a huge tumorous mass in his chest which was not operable. Yes, devastated after having bonded with this very animated boy, plus the additional huge vet bill on top of what he cost for only a year's companionship has left us quite stunned. As for the ranch owner, we don't believe he intended to sell us a 'sick' bird. And we never asked for medical verification as we felt the sale was not ill-intended. The two younger birds are doing fantastic, but the rehomed gray cost us dearly in a big vet bill, his steep sale price, plus our emotional upset due to having him put down. I do hope this seller makes it a point to ethically have 'rehomed' birds that he resells checked by a vet beforehand so future buyers are not left bankrupt and devastated after a year's attachment. Again, I don't believe the ranch owner intended to take advantage of us, but after 40 years in service he should have a better practice in hand by having all the birds he 'resells', particularly older ones, vet-checked before offering them to the general public. Especially with such a huge price tag attached.

Bruce is very knowledgeable. He took his time & happily answered all of our questions. The cages and birds that we saw where clean and healthy. He let us handle the birds that we were interested in so we could see which ones were more comfortable with us.

You can tell the love and care that these birds get when you talk to Bruce. He is so passionate in what he does. I was SO excited to get my first bird and a little nervous. Bruce made sure the cockatiel I chose was a good fit for me. He took the time to educate and teach me everything I needed to know to feel 100% confident in bring this little guy home. I would highly recommend Arizona Parrot! I can't wait for my next visits.

Nothing but great a experience with Bruce. I purchased an African Grey from Bruce which is a bird I've wanted for a very long time. It's difficult to find reputable breeders but Bruce cares for his birds and his clients. He's always a text or a call away to answer my questions which is super helpful! As for my birdy Ozzy, he is such a sweet bird playful, almost right when we got home he just wanted to be pet and given attention. Very healthy bird. Thanks for everything Bruce! I recommend Arizona Parrots to anyone interested in having a bird companion.

We wanted to thank Bruce and Arizona Parrots for adding Noodles, our female pied Cockatiel, to our family. We have got parrots from Arizona Parrots before and Bruce has always been attentive to what we are looking for, takes time to listen to our stories and is very helpful with getting us started with our birds. We have always got baby birds and handfed them and Bruce makes that easy to learn. Thanks Arizona Parrots for the great experiences!

Having lost my Cockatiel, we drove to Tucson in search of a pair. This place is a desert paradise, the birds healthy and happy. The staff extremely helpful and pleasant! My pair of tiels have adjusted well to their new home.

Wonderful place to do business with. The only place in southern Arizona that had a cockatiel when I needed one and it is the sweetest bird I have ever seen.

I love this place! We have gotten two cockatiels and they are wonderful. We are about to go back for a third! They have the best prices and they are very helpful, especially for a first time bird owner. Both experiences were very informative.

I adopted a young lutino cockatiel, Vuelo, from Arizona Parrots. He is very sweet and healthy. Super curious and adventurous. Still working on hand taming but being a 1st time bird owner we are both taking it slow. ????

I absolutely love this place. We got our beautiful boy, Nigel from these amazing people and couldn't be happier. I have worked with Bruce and Cindy, both of them are so experienced and sweet. They answered all of our questions and had everything we needed to make Nigel's life a happy one. We recommend them so much that one of our friends got a baby cockatiel from them as well. When we birdsat their baby bird for them, Nigel fell in love. So we are now going back to get a second bird for ourselves and as a playmate for our little boy. I could not recommend them more!

The only reason why I am giving them a one star is because Bruce was a nice person and very knowledgeable. But here is my story. I bought my cockatiel on September 17th for my daughter’s birthday. I had him for only two weeks and he got weak and fluffy so we took him to the vet and we had to spend more money to put him down. We are so heart broken. We tried calling him and they don’t answer we left a voicemail and he never called us back and it’s been 2 weeks already. I wasted 400 for basically nothing. If you go there make sure you take your bird to the vet just to be sure.

Bruce purposely gave me a 3 weeks age unhealthy baby cockatiel and claim it is the biggest one in the nest, the bird had no crest and feather on back, eats very little and sleep all the time. Bruce even insist it is a good thing that baby cockatiels do not beg for food. If you say the bird doesn't look good he will tell you it's all your fault, the only thing he cares is cash in his pocket, get your birds from someone else

I scheduled a visit with Bruce based on his reputation and knowledge about parrots. I'm sure that's probably true, but when I went to visit this morning, I encountered a group of maskless people admiring a parrot. I can't imagine purchasing a bird from someone that treats humans so recklessly. If you're ok taking a risk with a virus, it's probably still worth the trip. Not for me or my family.

Purchased a bird here in December of 2019. The owner is very knowledgeable and several bird species available for sale. We take our bird back every 6 months for a beak, nail, and wing trim. With the pandemic his inventory is extremely low. Also provides very informative training sessions.
