Marissa is great! Such a good spirit and attitude, you can clearly tell she loves working with animals, my champion loves her already and it’s our first visit! I can tell the care here is reliable and I will continue coming in!

My dog has been through A LOT medically over the years since I adopted her and the staff at Banfield always put us at ease. Pretty sure some of the techs love her almost as much as I do and she has no problem going to visit her friends.

Do not purchase the Wellnes pet plan at all. It's a scam, it did not cover much of anything and when you try to cancel you are locked in until fullfilling the agreement, even if your pet dies. The pet has paased away and they still charge you for the plan, seems unfair and a terrible reminder of our familes loosing our beloved pet every month. Other than that, it was ok.

Don't do it, specially the insurance plan. Doesn't cover anything worth having, find a smaller pet hospital, (I did) fees are less, same or better level of care. Their prices are out of line.

I had a very sick dog and after calling 5 places (even my own vet) to look at her they were willing to assess her even though they were very busy. I think they will become now my regular vet.

All the employees were fabulous!! I tried so hard to get him on the scale. The employees did a great job to make my pet feel at home and very comfortable. When he didn't want to get on the scale many of them tried to get him on the scale. He just doesn't like it. All in all we got our health certificate and ready for travel! Thanks for the partnership Alaska Airlines and Banfield pet hospital!

This review is about Dr. Soto. She was very attentive to my family. We lost a puppy a few days ago and I was concerned that my living puppy could get ill. She understood and went out of her way to read the ER notes from the other vet about Nala, and spent a lot of time listening to me and offering advice. I appreciate a doctor that will listen. She has a great bedside manner and seems to really love her job! The vet tech was not so friendly and over-stepped the Vet repeatedly. Her clinical advice was in direct opposite of the vet and she rushed me out before the vet had finished what she told me she would do. Dr Soto asked me to continue to wait for her after the tech told me to leave. She did not take any of my concerns seriously. I really appreciate having such a dedicated vet. If she decided to open a private practice I would certainly patronize her establishment. I hope I get her each time.

This place has some of the most caring vets and staff I have ever experienced. My dogs and cats have lived long and healthy lives thanks to their services.

We were across the country when our cat took a turn for the worst. The vets and techs at Banfield kept us updated throughout the process and explained everything over the phone. We ended up having to put him down before we got home and the vet was very compassionate to our situation. I will forever be grateful for how they took care of our old cat when we were not able to be there.

The staff is very caring, and helpful. The only down fall is that they are always trying to push the wellness plan, which is good if you have a pet with medical issues. Just a bit pricey, and tough to get an appointment.

I took my 12 week old puppy yesterday for a check up. He is very friendly but he does get nervous if he doesnt see someone he is familiar with. Everything was good until after checking in. The vet tech automatically comes out and tells me I shouldn't be walking my dog??? He repeatedly told me and my significant other that we shouldnt be walking the dog that we should be carrying him. Mind you my puppy has had up to his 3rd set of shots. My puppy is almost 40 pounds. It is not easy to carry him around 24/7. Then he proceeded to try and sell us on the health package.. we told him multiple times we were not interested and he kept pushing the package on us. He then proceeded to get upset when we didnt want to get our vaccines done there because we had scheduled them else where with a better price. He kept trying to pressure us into getting the package and our vaccines. Like he gets a bonus if we sign up. I didn't I went to a sales meeting. thought i went to a vet. He tried to take my puppy to the back without anyone with him. And I Called days before to ask if it was ok to go back with him during the exam. He said there must be some miscommunication because that is not allowed. He was very rude about it. he was making me feel like I am a bad dog owner. I have had dogs all my life even 6 Rottweilers at once so I am pretty experienced. I even had a mask I was wearing to go back. My puppy is like my kid. I am NOT going to leave him unattended. How Do i know he will actually be seen ? After reading the reviews im glad I didnt. That guy should be talked to about his customer service skills and learn when someone says no to stop asking over and over again.

I'm a first time dog owner and was seduced by the idea of corporate cohesion, so I came to Banfield. The vet tech seemed focused on selling my an insurance plan -- more focused on that than capturing my dog's health history (such as it is) or my medical concerns. The vet herself was nice. There's one lady at the front desk who's nice. The energy here isn't good. The same vet tech sent me home with the wrong type of Simparica, then called and I had to dig in the trash to find the empty pill packet to confirm she had indeed given me the wrong pill (I needed the heartworm option, too). I had to come back for an additional heartworm pill. In the meantime, I got another weird, scattered VM from the vet tech, asking about the heartworm treatment I needed to pick up as well as the prescription I needed to pick up at a separate pharmacy. Tried to call back and can't get through until the fifth or sixth call, and the front desk lady has to review everything to figure out what's even going on. Came back in for the extra pill and they tried to charge me for their mistake. Overall, very disorganized and chaotic. Weird energy. It's loud, but not in a regular vet's office way; in a, all the sound bounces off the high walls of the building. And I definitely don't think it's the employees' fault. My hunch is the corporation in charge crams as many appointments into their day as they can, and puts the focus solely on volume and money. Additionally, saw an unneutered adult male pitbull while I was here. It's not Banfield's fault that some pet owners are idiots, and props to them for giving this animal care, by I hope the hospital is advocating for spay/neuter. My dog will get his booster from them, then we'll find a real vet's office.

I had scheduled an appointment here with my dog for a bump on his leg and a skin rash. Went to the visit and the vet said it was a fatty tissue, not to worry and said that the rash was a bacterial infection. He also said that my dog has an ear infection. Sent me home with medication, cat ear drop for his skin rash and antibiotics that didn’t work. They also did not run any test for the skin rash or the ear. He just gave me ear wash solution and no medicine for it. Two weeks goes by and I go back for another visit. My dogs ear infection is still there and the rash is too. This time the run a test to see what type of bacteria is in he’s ear. Only now do they give me medicine for his ear. They also sent me home with shampoo and conditioner for his skin rash that they still haven’t ran any test to see why. Spent over $400 dollars and my dogs rash is worse after using the shampoo and conditioner and now his eye is starting to drift. They seem money hungry and not interested in doing their job. When asked questioned about why I was getting eye drops for his skin the nurse was also confused and the vet just said it would “dry it out”

Had a 9:45 am appointment. Arrived at 9:50 and waited for the person at the desk to get off the phone until 9:56. Then was told I was late and had to either reschedule or wait for an opening.

Good and helpful staff at tjis location. It's really hard to get an appointment because they are doing a Covid thing. You stand outside a exam room door blocked off by a Covid sheild and the vet is inside the room. If your pet requires attention they will come out and take your pet through a door and leave you waiting outside. So if you don't get separation anxiety from not seeing whats going on with your pet this is a place for you. Free exam coupon available online for your first visit.

This is the worst experience I have had at a vet. I have used other Banfield’s which have been great. Dr. Weinstein Never asked me any questions about the dog or symptoms. They recommended all kinds of testing, I do bloodwork and that all came back normal.I kept telling him that she had all the symptoms of vestibular disease Which is common in old dogs. He wanted to do x-rays, valley fever bloodwork, even though none Her symptoms were consistent with valley fever. I went to pick her up at the doctor never even came out to talk to me and they basically told me nothing about her or what it could possibly be. I decided to take her somewhere else and they diagnosed her with Vestibular disease just as I suspected. Don’t go here it’s a rip off and the doctor doesn’t care about the pets only the $$. If you need a good vet I highly recommend VCA animal hospital in Tempe. They were amazing!
