It is okay. Kind of dingy. Window shades drawn. Products on the floor. Employees are super nice and helpful

They usually have what I'm looking for. Just wish there was 1 closer to my house and that they carried Pretty Litter cat litter

Love this location but if you change your hours due to shortage of employees, update it on google’s directions. We adjust our schedule to come to you and would appreciate consideration of respect. A note on the door isn’t the most respectful way to tell a customer about time changes.

Can the store just clone employees like Wes? Tonight at the store I saw an elderly man having trouble using the pet tag machine. Wes finished up with the customer he was checking out and stepped over and assist he gentleman. I was standing quite a ways away from the cash register area trying to rearrange heavy bags of dog food so the barcodes could be scanned. Wes walked over and did the job, then took my cart and wheeled it over to the counter. He was extremely helpful. Thank you Wes!

The staff is very good at the register, they always let you know if a pals reward is available, open an addional register if needed, and wish you well when you leave - you leave the store in a very positive fashion:)

We got a new puppy and decided to get her vaccines done here. We did all of the routine shots and then decided to get the Valley Fever one as well, considering we will be taking her hiking and camping etc. so we paid the 35.99 and were told its several shots so we got the first one and then made the appointment to go back for the next one. Well, when we went for the next one we were charged 40.99 and when we asked why we had to pay again we were just told that prices just went up and that the price would be going up again by Jan 10th even ( I guess to try to make us feel like we were lucky?!). I don't care if the price goes up, if I paid my fee and told the second shot is included with that price, then it should be honored. At least give a call to tell us of the change in advance and not as we stood there with our dog ready to go and blind side us with an unexpected and unfair price gouge. The place is always kind of sad and dirty looking too. Not coming back here ever again.

5-stars for the grooming department at this Queen Creek Petco location, specifically for JENNA. We did not have super high expectations based on rumor and reviews. Our pup's regular groomer is booked out until the end of January as most groomers are. We took our Aussie Doodle in for a bath and added the Essentials package. He came home looking so handsome and we can tell he feels so much better. Thanks JENNA!

The selection of pet items is amazing. The employees are very helpful. They also have an in-house vet and boarding. Check-out can be a challenge as they often only open one register.

Pretty expensive. BUT, carries live, bulk crickets and other feeder insects and mammals. It's become so much better than PetSmart, I don't go there anymore. Petsmart rarely have them, they usually arrive dead.

I’ve been a customer at Petco on Ocotillo for over 15 years. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional and extremely rude in all of that time. Not 1 person working had a name tag so I’ll describe them. Giovanni (assistant manager, so I was told), is an extremely rude and uncaring person. She should not be working in a pet store or with people. I waited for 20 minutes for help. Walked around a few times and looked for someone to help me. I went to the cash register after the first 10 min. The young man with dirty blonde hair, parted down the center and kinda long was very respectful and nice. He said he would send someone over. No one came. After 10 more minutes I called the store. Giovanni answered and I explained I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes in the fish department and still have no help.I know she’s the person who answered because she had the same voice and attitude. She asked if I had gone to the register and requested help, I told her yes. She said I am dealing with live animals. I will be over in a few minutes then hung up on me before I could say thank you. A few minutes went by and that young man came through the fish department and asked if I’d been helped. I said no but I just called the store and talked to someone. He said he will try and find someone. I said ok thanks. Giovanni came over and was very rude. She had an attitude which she took out on me and the fish. I apologized for calling and explained that I call after waiting for too long. She said nothing.and very roughly dumped the fish in the bag. Forcibly twisted, sloshed the fish around and laid it down like there was nothing in the bag except water. She acted like it was an inconvenience for me to be there bothering her. I didn’t let it get to me because I thought maybe she’s having a bad day. Everyone does. So I stayed upbeat and talked to her or tried I should say. I thanked her for helping me and she said uhuh. Nothing else. So I walked away. Normally when I encounter a rude person I let it go. But because she mishandled the fish I can not let it go. It won’t surprise me if my fish die. I hope they don’t but if they do I’ll know it’s because of how they were treated. I even apologized for taking her away from what she was doing. And she still didn’t respond to me. She just kept looking angry and went about her business. I will never have her help again.

Only went here because PetSmart had infections in their tanks. I was happily surprised. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Got some pretty cool fish as well.

Prices seem higher than the competition. Great customer service, the cashier wouldn't give me a receipt, I was told to get it online. Then I had to bag my own items, so rude! I had tremendous trouble trying to get around the store with a cart, so much stuff in the aisles. They're selling damaged and sick fish. When I called their attention to a fish swimming sideways, they told me it has a bladder issue and it would be discounted? Really?!?! Also, the sales person was using her talon-like nails to tap on every fishtank she was showing me. Not good, fish were startled into moving. Not going back unless PetSmart closes.

I went to the Queen Creek store and was wonder around aimlessly and Cory asked if I needed help… oh man did I need help!!! I had many questions and Cory (sorry if spelt differently) helped me out tremendously! I just got three Turtles and he guided me into which soil I needed and beyond. I kept interrupting him come his cleaning of the tanks, however he didn’t have a glimpse of en eye to give me the answers I needed. Thank you Cory! Corey! Kori! My new turtles are in love!

Alexandra was a rockstar! She assisted me with a quick booking for our dogs to stay overnight. She was very polite and helped us make sure we were able to keep our dogs comfortable during their stay. She talked to my 3 year old daughter (Sponge-bob) for a few minutes while she was searching for the correct package and was amazing how she kept with me and also hung with the conversation with my daughter too. Thanks Alexandra. You’re a keeper for sure!
