As always, our experience with this vet has been very positive for me and my kitty. They took good care of him and answered all of my questions. :)

They r one of the best vets that I have been to. Me and my gf resued some kittens and they had bad infections and were really sick, but now they r healthy as can b and it was a reasonable price and not to expensive

Great caring staff. Quickly accommodated when our older dog needed some extra attention recently. Glad they have been there to help with both our cat and dog. Thank you

The team here is very helpful, thorough, and I like the smaller less-busy, quiet setting. Dr. Rahal is awesome.

First let me tell you, they are amazingly kind and good with my cat, they have seen him twice already and both times they just gently treat and hold him with care. The staff is welcoming and always trying to find a opening on the schedule for you. I am not going back to my old veterinarian, the staff was rude, they never had time to squeeze him in when needed it. Pet wellness staff finds the time for your pet, the front desk ladies are nice and kind and understand people work and they just go above and beyond to help you when you call. Dr. Rahal and assistant are a blessing.

Staff are so sweet and attentive. Even called the next day to check up on my cat. Went over possible charges before moving forward with any tests or procedures so there was no surprise bill. I highly recommend them!

I had the absolute BEST experience here. My kitty needed immediate and emergent medical attention and I drove around town for what felt like an eternity trying to find a vet hospital that would take us in on such short notice. We were turned away from 4 clinics due to limited space — couldn’t believe that. I felt such panic and distress before I finally stumbled across this facility. They were so unlike all of the others, as they were genuinely so kind, considerate, and concerned about my cat. This meant so much to me especially since none of the other clinics treated us with such kindness. Without hesitation Dr. Fowler (who is AMAZING) admitted us right away and got us into an exam room within minutes. The tech, Brittney, was phenomenal. My cat is normally super rude to strangers and would never let someone other than me hold him, but he trusted her and Dr. Fowler completely. This spoke volumes! It was both interesting and heart-warming for me to see. SUCH a relief. Brittney did a quick H&P, then her and Dr. Fowler examined him, took his vitals, ran diagnostics, and had his diagnosis all within maybe 20-25 minutes of me getting there. Fortunately, my cat didn’t need surgery or any invasive treatment. He got an antibiotic and anti inflammatory injection and also got an oral pain med prescription. I was honestly expecting this bill to be outrageous, but I think it ended up totaling just under $200. Totally worth it. A scary, stressful, exhausting and emotional day completely turned around by this clinic! I still cannot get over how wonderful they were. I’ll never ever use a different vet! Thank you Pet Wellness Center!!!!!

I've never written a review, but this is the worst experience I've ever had with a vet. My puppy had a severe issue with hook worm (from her mom and they were from Florida- worm capital!), which the team quickly found after our first visit. We began treatment for that and waited for this to take effect. I saw (live) adults in her feces not long after which I was told was normal. My puppy was still rail thin with near contant diarrhea and I knew something was wrong so after conveying this to the team and showing them pictures of what I was seeing, they administered a second round of dewormer (for hookworm). I had been googling, desperate for answers after months of unsuccessful treatment and I was certain that what I was seeing was tapeworm, which I communicated to the team without much consideration because they were not showing up in the multiple fecal samples I brought in to be tested. I understand that tapeworm sheds sporatically, making it challenging to catch so I am not blaming them for not having done so, but it seems odd to me that noone stopped and suggested that this may be something else or in addition to hookworm, especially after the photos/videos that I showed them (rice-looking white worms all over her feces, mostly moving). They instead suggested that if there are indeed still worms, we needed to consider the possibility that she was "getting into something at home". Trust me when I say I spent every waking moment with my puppy. I work from home - I was where she was every time she was awake. About a month went by without any sign of worms, until one morning they showed up once again. I took photos and was told to email them to the practice, to which I was finally told that this was tapeworm, not hookworm, and I could come in and buy a dose of tapeworm medication, or buy it online (which I did order as a backup). I finally got multiple live worms early the next morning and immediately took them in so the team could see what I was seeing after months of feeling crazy & just to be certain, to which they immediately confirmed these were tapeworms and administered the medication. Before the team had come out and communicated this, I was charged for sending out the fecal sample (somewhere between $60-80) which I was then told could only be returned to me as some sort of credit that could only be applied to select services rather than being fully refunded. Before they brought her back out to me they trimmed her toenails as a courtesy, which is when I heard the most distressing vocalizations that I've ever heard my puppy make. I was then told that they held her down to trim her nails and that I needed to "touch her paws more" at home (to this day I can hold her paws and manipulate them as if I would when trimming them without issue). She was a calm pup at the vet which the team constantly remarked about, receiving nail trims at every visit without a peep until this day. I called this practice almost weekly during Lola's treatment, scared when new symptoms would appear, and it genuinely felt like I became taken less and less seriously every time. After the final dose of tapeworm dewormer was administered, I never received a follow-up call regarding how my puppy was doing. I feel like I was the only one with a sense of urgency to find a solution. I called and asked the front office if I could possibly refund the remainder of the "puppy pack" we purchased (vaccinations, nail trims at each visit, and microchip administration while she was under for her spay eventually) since we were changing vets, which I was told we had already spent 90% of the pack and all that was left was the microchip, so nothing could be refunded. That's fine and I understood that, but I didn't receive this call back until a month later. I know that I don't know how the process goes when a puppy like mine is being treated, but she missed out on months of growth because of this worm issue and I can't help but feel like if my concerns were not just chalked up to paranoia of a first time dog owner, we could have solved this earlier.

This is a great place to take your pet. I’ve gone to a lot of veterinarians in my life and this is an EXCELLENT one.

*I tested positive for Covid-19 after visiting here for a exam with my dog on Tuesday 12/15* I came here with my dog for a exam and had a negative Covid test from the day before but 3 days later after coming here I took another as a precautionary since I would be traveling and tested positive for Covid-19. Dr Lee and the technician that assisted me seemed to be the only ones wearing masks the whole time and we’re very nice as they did assist me in what I needed. Outside this I noticed the receptionists only wear one if you do (seen customers w/no mask come in and they’ll help them w/no mask on) the other technicians weren’t wearing them and Dr Cheryl Rahal will only wear one when she comes in the exam room with you, if you walk by her outside of the exams room she won’t be wearing one. I’ve been extremely caution about everything lately since I was suppose to be traveling (I.e order groceries online, always wear a mask and avoid going out when not needed) and tracing back everything, this was the only place I went to that week that had staff not wearing a mask inside a small place so it’s most likely this where I was exposed. I felt uncomfortable about this beforehand but since they were able to get me scheduled quicker then my old vet I started to use this place more. So my review is more just about the owner and some staff being selfish during these times as I now have to stay home through New Years quarantined and they should probably let customers from this day know they might have been exposed to Covid-19. Side note: they do very good about getting you in last minute and prices are fair so if it wasn’t for getting Covid-19 from here I would have made this my new permanent vet...

I took my cat in as I can see she was having bladder issues and it was our very first visit with them. My cat is a very timid and shy little girl, but the amazing people at the Pet Wellness Center were super sweet, gentle, and loving towards her that she didn't even flinch. Plus, their prices are awesome! They did so much work on her and it was definitely the cheapest vet visit I have ever had. Once we got home, my little girl was super happy and would not stop purring. I definitely recommend! :)

WOW! This clinic is amazing!! Our dog needed stitches, after being in a fight. She wouldn’t wear the cone after surgery, so the staff went to Frys and got a t-shirt to protect the stitches. Who does that???? Amazing! Excellent staff and beautiful clinic.

Dr. Rahal and her team are AMAZING at The Pet Wellness Center. Being a first time patient and kinda clueless to what was wrong with my dog Minnie, I took her here hoping for the best and quick recovery for my dog. I recommend highly to anyone in the north Phoenix area looking for a trustworthy vet!

Tonight we put our precious Brin down. Dr Rahal and Maria came to the house. They made our Brin so comfortable and her sister was right there next to her. It was very peaceful and made it much easier for my husband and I. Rest in pease my precious baby.

I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place. Our 6 year old puppy was so sick and is still going through it right now but getting better every day. I don’t even want to think about where we would be without Dr. Rahal and her staff. The special care and attention her and her staff gave Brooklyn I know is the main reason we still have her today. They continue to love and care for her through her path to getting well. Dr. Rahal cares!!

I really wanted to like this place! I just moved to anthem and needed a new vet for all my fur babies and was looking for one more naturally minded. I was told this was just that place. They were able to get me in right away which was great and the prices they quoted were super reasonable. However, that’s were it ended for me. I explained to the vet that I wanted someone naturally minded and that my newest 4 legged addition was very special to me because she was my sisters dog who passed last year. She had not been cared for well for the past year and had untreated allergies so bad her skin was irritated and had hives. The vet prescribed an allergy med that she said was very safe and an antibiotic. I didn’t give her the antibiotic because it was unnecessary and was exactly the type of stuff I didn’t want. The vet brought up vaccines several times even though i said she was up to date and wanted to clip her nails for a charge even though I said I was taking her to the groomer directly after that appointment and didn’t want to pay for something included in the grooming. When I asked what I should do when meds ran out she said just call for a refill. When it was time for a refill I called and never received a call back. Fast forward 3 days and I called them back and they said they had notes in the computer but never called me. She said I needed to come in for blood tests. I asked why and they said because the meds she was on could hurt her liver and lower her red and white blood cells but i should have been told that in the beginning (I was not). She said i would need to come in every 6 months for blood tests. So that’s $ for pet visit, blood tests, and allergy meds $$$... I asked about other options and they recommended a shot. I ended up looking up both the meds she was currently on and the shot and they are TERRIBLE for animals. A ton of side effects I was never told about. The whole experience here felt really car salesmensy. Not at all what you would think of for a “wellness” center. Looking for a place now that is really naturally minded. 2 stars for quick appointment, affordable initial visit, and clean office.

Very kind. First thing the vet did? Upon entering she got on the floor on all fours to observe our old Staffordshire Terrier. That made a big impression on us. Like dealing with children.

I'm all about supporting little shops like these but today was the last straw for me with this practice. My dogs had puppies back in December and we had been to this place a few times since it opened and previously to having the puppies we had a great experiences. I called them to see how much it would be to get 3 puppies in for shots a grand total that way i can compare. They said the total price would be 125 with shots and office visit. I booked the appointment and they received their shots and went to check out and they said it would be 225! I was shocked. I told them that i had only made the appointment here because they quoted me 125. They adjusted the price and all was good. They told me that they would need to come back in for their other shots in a few weeks. I got the call a few days before they needed the shots. I asked once again the grand total to make sure and to make a note in the account that way im not surprised. Went to the appointment and i was surprised they said oh looks like its time for this shot. I wish i knew that prior so i can be prepared for 3 x's 23.50. Then they had run out of one of the vaccines and never called to let me know when it was back in stock. The last visit was just the other day and i had called a day or two prior because im busy and cant really call a decent amount of time ahead but she said that it would be 90 dollars for all 3 to get the next shots along with the visit she said that they may be ready for rabies, i come in the next day and i told Cory that i want to know exactly how much everything will be i told him that i was already told it would be about 90 for all the shots except rabies i told him that i forgot to ask how much that vaccine was and before he got that ready i would like to approve how much it would be. He told me that it would be 20 per dog . i approved . I had been very clear that i was keeping track on how much i was spending. This is the second time that they try to keep silent on hidden fees. I know that they have to have the vet administer the rabies shots and thats fine. But i was told by one of the techs that if i had came in the office with in a certain time i would not be charged a visit fee and since i had kept up with their shots i qualified for that discount for the fee. seems very weird that every time i came they seem to want to charge me over a 100 dollars more than what is expected . When Cory told me the price for today over 225. I questioned it since i was quoted 90 and was told 20 times 3 would not equal 225 . The Vet was looking for something and i was questioning it all she was saying was i'm sorry that you were quoted the wrong amount... And all i was thinking was you are conning me into paying more than i should. With writing all that i'm upset about i don't want the owner telling me to come back in and it to be discounted . I will not be going back no matter what. What i actually want is for you to prepare your clients for what they have to pay with no hidden fees and hidden agendas!!!

Friendly staff and such a relief to get in and out without the up-sells, just recommendations that you can consider for your next visit. I especially appreciated the phone call to schedule my dogs annual vaccines. Great job, team!
