We are very pleased with the professionalism and kindness of Dr Schultz. Our little girl passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving parents until her last breath. It was a painless process for her. The wooden box for her ashes came in a thick blue velvet pouch accompanied by a cremation certificate. Thought this "luxury" item was a very nice touch. 3 weeks after Lucy passed we received a lovely condolences card from Dr. Schultz.

This was our first experience losing a pet and I can’t imagine a better experience than we had with Gentle Journey. Dr. Schultz was absolutely amazing! For such a difficult moment, I was left relieved knowing our dog was in good hands once she left our home. If you’re put in the unfortunate position to have to let your pet go, just know that Gentle Journey makes this experience the best it could be on such a sad day.

Dr. Schultz was so amazing and compassionate. We shared a poem with my beloved little Roxy before we allowed her to pass peacefully in my arms. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but I know I did the right thing for her - allowing her to pass with dignity and not suffer. Dr. Schultz - thank you again for your kindness and compassion. I look forward to picking up my Roxy's ashes, so she can be with us until I find a great place for her.

When you are faced with this awful moment, these are the people you want to call. I cannot stress enough just how caring, professional and understanding they are. If I could give them 10 stars, I would

We were blessed to have Dr. Elizabeth be our vet to help our beloved Rosco over the Rainbow Bridge on December 12, 2021. She came into our home and saw I was already so distraught and had been crying. Dr. Elizabeth was very empathetic, soft spoken, understanding, kind, respectful, and had a perfect bedside manner. It seemed that my boy didn’t feel the initial poke of the first needle. He was sleeping deeply with his wonderful snores that I miss so much today. She allowed us to have enough time to talk to him, to thank him for everything he did in my life (our lives, eventually). She gave us a few minutes after all was said and done to mourn and give him last hugs, kisses, cuddles, and so many tears. It was so hard for me to say goodbye to Rosco. He was my emotional support dog for 19 years! So many memories. So hard to say goodbye. After he was gently placed into her car, I had to give him another kiss and hug through my tears, and Dr. Elizabeth understood and allowed me the time. I even text messaged her the day after to thank her and she still responded to me. She’s so kind and caring. I’m so thankful she was our vet for Rosco’s Rainbow Bridge Trip. As hard as life is without him now, I’m grateful that I chose Gentle Journey at home. When it’s time for Miyana to cross the Rainbow Bridge, I know exactly where I’ll ask to help her along her trip.

Dr. Elizabeth was kind and patient as we said goodbye to our beautiful boy, Rocky. It was so nice to have him go peacefully on the sofa where he slept all the time. They are a must have for anyone who loves their pet.

Worst experience ever!!!!!!! The last moments of the time I shared with my dog of 14 years were ruined by Dr Christina...owner of Gentle Journey. Her unprofessional and inappropriate behavior was inexcusable. Also,, She brought no assistant knowing my dog was too heavy for her to move and an inappropriate "gurney" to move himafter he died. She told me she'd need my help to get my dead dog's body to her car. She called me after she left to say she's "BURNT OUT" DOING THIS and that was why she was so unprofessional. DON'T RUIN THE LAST MOMENTS OF TIME WITH YOUR BELOVED PET BY USING GENTLE JOUNEY. IF Dr Christina is as burnt out as she said and acted you don't want her to participate in the final moments you have with your beloved pet.

They made a very difficult situation bearable. Dr. Schultz could not have been more sensitive and understanding in helping us through the process. This was the first time we have done this at our home and it is definitely easier than going to our veterinarian's office. Everything went as well as it could have, and we appreciated being able to take our time saying goodbye.

I just had to say goodbye to my 13yo springer Emma. As hard as it was to make the appointment, I am so incredibly grateful for Dr. Schultz who showed so much compassion and care. She took her time and I did not feel rushed at all. I felt as if I saw my sweet girl become an angel right before my eyes. It was so peaceful. I can't thank you enough Dr. Schultz!

Dr Schultz was so compassionate and understanding. It’s never easy to say goodbye to our pets but she truly made the impossible, possible. Saying goodbye at home surrounded with what’s familiar to them makes the whole process that much easier.

They fit us in same day even though it was after hours. They were so kind and gentle and respectful, they made a very hard process as easy as possible and I appreciate that so much. Their after hours rate was not burdensome, and their general rate was pretty standard for this sort of service. They do not have an office so you don't have an option when it comes to methods for receiving your pets ashes, but we did receive them promptly and with a very sweet memento and paw print. Their area of service was also a lot more accessible than some of the other services I called that were based much closer to me.

A year ago I had to make the most difficult decision in my life to say goodbye to my best friend of 17 years. I'm a vet tech, too, which made the decision even more difficult. I'm late on my review, but I recommend this service to anyone who wants to avoid the veterinarian's office. My cat did not have to feel scared during his final moments in my arms.

This review is long overdue. My family sadly had to say goodbye to my 18 year old kitty fur baby. At the time of the decision with the veterinarian, we were only allowed to have two people present at the clinic due to COVID so the thought of not having the family household present to say goodbye was unimaginable. The vet staff then mentioned the option of doing an in-home euthanasia in which I had no idea there was such a thing. We did research that evening and fortunately found Dr. Christina with Gentle Journey. And although the decision was difficult, the online appointment setting was simple and Dr. Christina reached out to us shortly thereafter to confirm the appointment and our location. I can absolutely reaffirm, it is indeed more comforting to be in your own home (for pet and owner) to say goodbye to your fur baby rather than having to awkwardly walk out of the vet clinic with high emotions of grief. If you have the means to do so, I would strongly recommend this option along with Dr. Christina with Gentle Journey due to her professionalism (not only in the midst of the pandemic) but also because of her sincere empathy that comes with her profession. Our household has never been without a four-legged, furry family member that we grow with over the years but now knowing when that inevitable time does present itself, we can reach out to the Gentle Journey team.

Gentle Journey made a difficult time much easier…it was calm peaceful and loving. Could not recommend them more highly. I especially liked that all was organized and paid for prior to our appointment so there was no transaction on the day. It was all about making a difficult time as peaceful and kind as possible.

Dr. Christina and her assistant arrived with kindness and compassion. Our family felt supported through the entire heartbreaking process of putting down our 14 year old sweet Aussie, Nyla. Dr. Christina was gentle and took her time ensuring our girl was not in distress or in pain during the procedure. We felt as if we had all the time in the world. Nothing was rushed. In the end it was a perfect, peaceful transition. They wrapped her in a soft white blanket and carried her out gently, as if she were still with us. Shortly afterwards, we received a sympathy card in the mail signed by the staff. We couldn't have chosen a better caregiving service. Our family highly recommends Gentle Journey, Dr. Christina and her staff to anyone with a pet about to crossover.

I can't begin to express the gratitude we feel for being such a blessing in a devastating situation. Dr. Kristina and assistant were so patient, compassionate, and comforting. We did not feel rushed or hurried. To be able to say goodbye as he napped in his favorite spot was absolutely priceless. Gentle Journey helped ease the first step of our grief process.

Dr. Christina was great during this difficult time for our family. In home services were way better for everyone than an in office visit.

We are so grateful for the kind and compassionate care our family received from Gentle Journey. The doctor we worked with, Dr Simonson, was so thoughtful. When we told her that our cat had been staying under the bed, she recommended doing the procedure under the bed where she felt comfortable and safe. So we all crawled under the bed. Her peaceful, calm manner was so soothing to us all. I was so impressed with our experience, and how much more comfortable it was for us all to have done at home. When we picked up our cat's ashes from our vet, we made sure to tell them how much we appreciated Gentle Journeys and that we would recommend it for anyone else who needed to make a similar choice. We are still grieving, but being able to look back on saying goodbye in such a compassionate way has given us some comfort. Thank you Dr Simonson and Gentle Journey.

Gentle Journey and Dr. Amanda Simonson are absolutely amazing! I HATED having to make the excruciating decision to help my beloved Yoda over the Rainbow Bridge just days before Thanksgiving. After 17 years, Yoda went downhill fast amid the COVID pandemic. I HAD to be with him on his final journey and our family Veterinarian was not allowing humans inside the office so they recommended Gentle Journey. I had never used a Mobile Vet before, and the price was practically the same, so I’ll never use anything other than Gentle Journey for my furbabies going forward because they were so nice and it was so comfortable to care for Yoda at home. I got to hold him, pray over him and talk him through his final moments in my arms. They also took care of the cremation process and I got my Yoda back within 2 weeks. Dr. Amanda was so kind, thoughtful, gentle and soothing for Yoda and me throughout the whole process.

We had a wonderful experience during one of the most painful times in our lives. Dr Christina and her staff were so helpful, caring and compassionate during this time. Saying goodbye to a beloved pet and family member is never easy. But through Dr Christina, we were able to say goodbye in our home in a very peaceful and loving way. I highly recommend Gentle Journey.

The vet was amazing, warm and comforting. She was gentle & affectionate with our dog & all went very peacefully. While it is always a very sad moment to say goodbye to a beloved pet, she made it the best possible experience. It was a big comfort to know we didn’t have to stress Lady out by taking her into the vet’s office. Thank you, Tierney Family (Reviewing Gentle Journey In home pet euthanasia experience for Lady, our elderly rescue Great Pyrenees)

Amanda was so compassionate, caring, and loving. It truly was a gentle journey for our old girl Lola. We highly recommend Gentle Journey to come to your home instead of taking your animal to the vet. No stress for your pet and less for you. It is always difficult to say goodbye but this made it a little easier.

Dr. Christina made this heartbreaking decision much easier for us. We know our pet passed with no pain and comfortable while being at home with us. Thanks for everything.

Dr Christina and her assistant were very patient and caring with our dog-friend, Ninja. I never could have imagined the pain and sorrow that my husband and I would feel while saying goodbye to my old furry friend, but I am glad we were all in the comfort of our home. The price would have been the same at the vet office, but Ninja hated car rides, the vet office, and it was hard for her to get around. Needless to say, we are so very thankful that Gentle Journey exists and for the professional demeanor of Dr Christina.

Dr. Simonson was compassionate, kind and patient. She made a very emotional and difficult experience for us peaceful and reassuring.. Helping our dog cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort and safety of his own home was the best decision we could have made for him. Thank you for everything.
