This is the place to go if all you’re looking for are polite interactions and to check off on your annual vet trip for your completely healthy pet. …

From the front staff to the staff working the back, they're all professional & personable. Helpful & on point with pet care needs & no heart string games.

I love this place. The staff is amazing, so kind and just a joy to be around. Dr. Iverson is hands down the best vet I've ever been to!

We've been clients with Foothills for over 20 years Dr Johnson has taken care of our family "pooches" animals and they have a wonderful staff

650 dollars for an XRay and heart worm test. Couldn't afford the treatment because the diagnosis was outrageous. My dog has now died. In fact another dog died in the parking lot the day we went to the Vet! Getting a Vet tech to come outside for Emergency help took some yelling! If you have an EMERGENCY these people move SLOW!! XRay is old technology for a steep price at this place! Be prepared to pay a ridiculous bill!

Update 2021: now that we have been a client for a few years I though I’d share an update. It can be extremely difficult to get an appointment, especially on an emergency or urgent basis, so we go to 1st Pet for emergencies if Foothills AH is unable to accommodate. Nevertheless, I find Dr Marc and the other veterinarians very responsive, professional and capable. I continue to be impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of their front desk staff and technicians. The gentleman who works at the front desk is a star standout! I remain hopeful that the owners will find a new location in our neighborhood that will allow them to expand. But please: never, ever sell to VCA! :) Thank you to the staff at FAH! Old review: Dr Mark and his technician Angela were just outstanding. We came in for vaccines but my dog has complicated allergies so our visit took an unexpected turn. Nevertheless, both Dr Mark and Angela armed us with information and options and made sure our needs were taken care of. We are so fortunate to have this clinic in our neighborhood!

I have been going to Foothills for 15 years now. I have trusted them with all of my babies, and have driven over an hour to continue seeing these vets no matter where I live. They care for their patients like they are their own family.

It’s been exactly one month and two days since I’ve picked up your ashes. Not one time did I think that night that you would never be coming back home with me. My 6 year old daschound Bentley got sick one night he grew up. But it wasn’t a normal I ate too fast kind of throw up. I didn’t like the sound of it but we went to sleep and as soon as I woke up the next day I knew something wasn’t right. He kept throwing up all day. I’m not from here and where I come from if you have an emergency you call around to the vets and someone will squeeze you in and there’s no extra charge for it! It was in the evening when I felt like I needed to bring him in. It was after 5 so I was afraid of what the charge may be but when I found out it was $170 for a same day visit I about lost my mind! I didn’t have that kind of money! But then to find out there wasn’t anything available until after 11 anyways which then jumped the price from $175 to almost $400 I really fell off it then! That wasn’t going to include ANY of the treatment. So I decided to wait it out. I stayed up ALL night worried sick about him. The next morning he was starting to show signs of getting better so bc of the cost i again decided to see how he started to feel. See if I could get him to eat. Well he didn’t get any better so I called at about 3 there were two appointments avail before 11. My in-laws were going to help me out with the money thank god! So I was just waiting on confirmation from them that I could make the appointment and they were still going to help. Within 45 mins before I could call back both appointments were taken. I explained his symptoms which were pretty sever at this point but she said there wasn’t anything they could do. I called 3 times that night begging for them to see him. They only would after 11! Which would cost me way more than I could afford! So I what? Decided to try and push it one more night. But that night turned out to be the worst night of my life. Out of nowhere at about midnight Bentley quickly took a turn for the worst. I could see him fading in and out. I grabbed water and kept throwing it on his face. We jumped in the car to race to the hospital. The entire way I’m holding him talking to him looking into his eyes begging him to stay with me. Telling him everything was going to be okay and that we would play nonstop ball as soon as we got to go home. We finally got to the hospital just as I go to get out I watch him take his last breath. I start blowing air into his nose and mouth and scream to my boyfriend to help blow air into him. As we’re walking to the door he comes back I see him he’s back with me. But no one is at the front desk to let us in. I fall to the ground and I’m holding Bentley screaming at the top of my lungs and banging on the windows with my one free hand while my boyfriend is still giving him CPR. We both forgot our cell phones but thank god for the woman sitting in her truck in front of the building she called them. We must of been out there for at least 5 mins or more. I get up they take him from me and I just collapse. I’m hysterically crying. I have no idea what just even happened. They finally come out and say he didn’t have a heartbeat when I brought him in but they’re doing CPR or something and want to know if they should keep going. My boyfriend says of course. And I lose it. I’m screaming for them to save my baby at this point. To please bring him back to me! They come out a third time and it’s the same thing. My boyfriend says to do everything you can to save him. When she leaves I just looked at him and said he’s gone. He’s really gone. I was so distraught I had to get out of there. I got up walked out of the hospital I curled up in the back seat of the car and bawled my eyes out. I knew he was gone. I had to get out of there so I just started walking. They had came out one last time and talked to my bc where he said it’s okay to stop. But he had to come get me. He was worried about me after all that just happened. I couldn’t go back there. ***CHECK PHOTOS FOR REAT OF STORY!!

They were able to fit my dog on a Saturday and we’re able to lift her using a gurney since she can’t walk that much. As an existing client, I’ve never had any issues like other people have mentioned.

Love these guys! Dr Johnson is our vet and we adore her, but I am happy to have any of the vets in the practice look at my sweet, deaf, aging dog. Everyone is incredibly compassionate and loving towards the animals here.

I was on hold for half an hour in an attempt to make an appointment for my dog. When the receptionist finally spoke to me, she announced they are NOT accepting new patients. Are you kidding me? HORRIBLE!!

Foothills Animal Hospital is awesome! The vets here are kind to the animals, explain things in simple language, and treat the owners and pets with respect. Pricing is very reasonable and their availability has never been a problem for me. I would definitely recommend this vet!

This is a great place to take your dog. I had a good experience with my initial visit. I walked into a crowded lobby with a pet emergency and they were able to assist me quickly and efficiently. Definitely appreciate the way they take care of you and your pet. Easy to recommend.
