My husband and I love coming to this place! They're smart at constantly moving their inventory, so it's always fun no matter what day of the week. All the staff/volunteers are so helpful and it's always good to know your spending goes towards helping the fluffs!

We had two kitties that were both nice but one was just too rambunctious. He went there and was quickly adopted out to a family with kids to keep him busy. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind.

This organization gets very high marks from everyone around here. Unfortunately their website continues to feature pets which have already been adopted, which isn't clear immediately, as it should be.

I've adopted my last dog from them 7-8 years ago. He was the best dog I've owned since childhood. I was fortunate enough to get him as a puppy. Hoping to get another puppy but they don't last long here. I found a cute little guy about a year old but he is a little too little as he would be sharing the house with three senior citizens and I'm afraid he'll get hurt getting underfoot. I'll keep trying and I'm sure the right companion will come along when I least expect it. ???? If you are thinking about getting a new member of the family, this should be your first place to look. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. My buddy Rocky.

We just recently adopted two young cats from here. Over the years, we've adopted or attempted to adopt from other places in Pima County, this is the FIRST place that I saw such nice setups for the animals, a caring staff and an adoption process that was not only through, but easy to understand. I highly recommend adopting from here.

Amazing group of people. I just recently adopted a pup and my wife and I are in heaven. Its just what we needed to fill a void as our grandkids are so far away. Henry has a huge personality and is so special to us. Animal League treats you like family as soon as you walk in the door

Disappointed. Our family felt that we were ready to add to our home. We found a puppy online on their website and totally feel in love with her. We currently have a 4 year old dog that was also a rescue from PACC, he is great with other animals and we wanted to get him a friend. My husband and I packed up our two daughters and traveled down to Green Valley to meet her. On arriving, the receptionist made us feel very unwelcome, like we were interrupting her. After signing in and being told to wait, she dismissed us down the hall with a few directions to where to go where a very friendly volunteer waited for us with a smile and introduced us to the puppy. We had to stand awkwardly in the hallway in front of the kennel holding the puppy, blocking the walkway for anyone else. We were told that we needed to bring in our other dog for a meet and greet, which is totally understandable. She directed us back to the lobby where the receptionist was supposed to help us with placing a 'Hold' on the puppy so we could come back with our dog. Again the receptionist was dismissive and told us to wait for the person we needed to talk to. We again had to stand awkwardly waiting since there was really no place to sit while the person we needed to speak to was already talking to someone. When she was finally free, we weren't greeted only waved over. We asked about the "Hold" until we could come back on Monday with our dog (it was currently Thursday) she said that was a very long time to have a hold on the dog and they would probably be gone by the weekend. The dog had already been there for 10 days. When we were asked who was going to be home with the dog, we explained that we both worked and some days varied but the most we would be gone would be 4 hours. She didn't like that. When we told her we planned on crating her until she was potty trained, she didn't like that either. She told us that this puppy was just a baby and couldn't be alone that long. So apparently the only people that are allowed to have a puppy have to be home 24 hours a day. She suggested we look for an older dog and didn't offer any available until prompted by me for the information. She introduced us to the Foster Coordinator, who was very nice but in the end we left heart broken and disappointed that we couldn't have the puppy we wanted. To the faculty of TALGV: I would recommend at least designating a room or some kind of space for a meet and greet with the animals. I understand that you want to find good homes for all the animals but do not to make those who come to your facility feel judged and like bad pet parents because we have children and work full time. I don't abuse my animals. They are feed, watered, walked and loved. I don't beat my animals, I don't leave them outside in the desert heat. I don't even use shock collars. I go to professional dog training classes to correct any undesired behavior. I am NOT a bad pet parent, but two out of the four people we interacted with at this shelter made us feel that way. Over all, I felt that I was unwelcome, it was disorganized and the staff made me feel like a bad pet owner. Do not recommend. I will be returning to PACC for my next animal.

I like their thrifty store, lots of clothes well organized, there's a space for brand name clothes, small electronics, furniture, TV's, household items and a few tools. Prices are reasonable. The thrifty store is open at 8 am.

I adopted a wonderful puppy and the people at the Animal League were so professional and helpful. They had lots of tips and information to help my senior dog and new puppy to make a healthy adjustment.

They say they help people! But they dont!!! The muscle in the top of my Dog's head collapsed. It's called MMM for dogs. And The Animal League was recommended by a vet in Green Valley. Saying they most definitely would help me. I went there in tears almost begging for help. And the women wouldn't even talk to me. The volunteer that called her on the phone explained to her why I was there. And asked her to just come talk to me. But clearly she had better things to do!
