Left my pooch over the Christmas Holiday. They took great care of Buck, my dog. When we picked him up he was glad to see us but unlike some other places I left him he was calm and quiet. I think he quite enjoyed his stay

Great service, clean facility, and competent and friendly staff. We've dropped in multiple times on q family dog unannounced and she was in the play pen every time having a blast with the other dogs with staff supervision.

I do not recommend Pete and Mac's for grooming services. During my recent experience at the Gilbert location, the staff was unprofessional and inappropriate. They do not value their repeat customers. I had been taking my dog to Pete and Mac's in Gilbert for the last year because I was initially impressed with their deshed treatment and grooming service. When I recently called to re-schedule my dog's next appointment, I was notified that my dog is not allowed to get groomed there anymore. No one I spoke to on the phone that day could explain why and I was told the groomer on staff would not groom my dog anymore. I asked to speak to the manager. Two days later, Cara called me and said that there were "issues" previously at check out, and my dog and I are "not a fit" for their business. This is incredibly disheartening and disappointing because I have never had any personal issues with my grooming services at Pete and Mac's. There was one situation when I requested and paid for a deshed treatment, but my dog was still shedding hair immediately after. I brought this to the business and a manager's attention, and I was given a percentage off my next grooming service and credited back for the deshed treatment. In another situation, I inquired why my bill was more than the previous bill to understand the breakdown of the costs. When I politely asked for an explanation, the front desk could not answer the question. They deferred to the groomer, whom I had never met or spoken to, however, I gladly addressed my question to her. The groomer seemed irritated to have to explain the breakdown of costs, but I learned the higher bill this time around was for a teeth cleaning. In my experience at Pete and Mac's, the groomer comes out to the front desk area to get the pet they are grooming and goes over what will be done during the appointment with the owner at the beginning of the appointment, and that did not happen during this grooming service. As a customer, it does not make me confident in the business when the staff can not provide a simple explanation of the grooming bill and perceives inquiries about services and bills as problematic. So, don’t go to Pete and Mac’s if you want to know exactly what you are paying for and expect to receive the services you're paying for.

I have taken my dog Marvin here twice now for boarding/daycare and he absolutely loves it. Super affordable and everyone is really nice.

Had my two dogs stay here for one night. Ended up taking my one dog later in the evening to the emergency vet, and my other dog to the vet. Both sick for over a week plus $$$ for treatment. Called Pete & Mac's, never heard back from management. Never again.

We boarded our two dogs here for almost a week they were well taken care of and did very well at this place we are very happy with the care that our pups received

All Three Of My Dogs Came Home very Sick, They All Had Kenel Cough throwing up! Had to Take One to the vet she was so sick, They Have To Many Dogs Cogregating together, Probably Won't Take Th Back There!!

I've brought my cat and dog here several times since 2019, but this was the first time I've brought them since early 2020 and it seems like something's different. Both were unhappy and skittish when they got home which has never happened before. They gave my dog a bath at the end of his stay. He was in need of a groom when he went in, I'll admit that, but he came out filthy and stinky and it was like they just sprayed him down with a hose or something. His coat was not in perfect shape when he went in but he came out much much worse. Tonight he's started coughing and based on recent reviews I'm concerned about kennel cough. This place is convenient for us, but it's not worth the experience my pets seemed to have during their last stay.

Both of my dogs left Pete and Macs filthy and with severe kennel cough. Additionally, we heard them screaming at the dogs in their outside play area. I would say this facility needs to up its sanitation standards big time. I highly recommend avoiding this place because chances are your dog or dogs will get sick:(

Always super friendly and even when having to extend our dogs stay last minute they were super accommodating and understanding.

Always treated our Zeus great! He would pass out on the drive home, sometimes even almost doing so in the lobby! Also gets a cute little report card every day that shows what he did that day. Thank you all!

They were great for a dog day care, so we are trying their boarding.

We have used Pete and Mac's a total of 3 times for boarding our two dogs and every single time they come home with horrible kennel cough. My dogs will not be returning.

The facility and employees were nice. My dog's report card indicated she had fun and made dog friends but she came home depressed for a few days and developed kennel cough. They also forgot to give her the bath included with the length of her stay although they did offer to do it quickly before I left which was nice. I may use them again if I can't find an individual to look after her but I figure if she had a good time she would have been more expressive upon pick up like she has been from other kennels.

My dog always seems to enjoy his stays. He is happy and healthy whenever we pick him up.

It could have been better. Took 45 minutes to check out my animal.

My great Dane loved her stay

I've boarded my dogs here a few times. The first time went OK. The second time, they allowed the dogs to rip up a $60 harness. The last time I spent $500 for Spring Break boarding just to incur a $550 vet bill a few days later. Both dogs have kennel cough. Pete & Mac's said they are sorry and hope my dogs feel better. They also confirmed there are additional cases. I wonder if they are letting their guest know?? Also, they always ask for groomer tips before I get to see the dogs. This is a disservice to the groomer.

So great! Was super nervous having never boarded a dog before, especially given our pup is pretty high energy. Dog came home happy and tired after 3 nights, and staff were awesome. Got to watch the dogs play a bit and could tell it was a good experience for them. Felt like a good value, will definitely use again.

Boarded my three dogs for four day. One came back with an eye infection, one with a split muzzle and bumps near her eye. Third one had a scab on his muzzle. Will not be taking them back.

I can’t give them only 1 star because they were very welcoming with my pitbull which is hard to come by. I’ve never been in the place before covid so I was unable to see the kennels and daycare areas which was a big upset and worry for me but I understand the precautions they have to take. I was worried about my girl getting along with other dogs since she won’t start anything but if a dog is mean to her she will be mean back and when I would pick up from daycare they said oh yeah she’s great but being a dog groomer working at bad salons that tell owners whatever they wanna hear it freaked me out. But I have them another shot and then I got a report card with an adorable picture of her on it and I was so happy. But then 2 days later she starts honking and coughing and come to find out... kennel cough. I called to let them know about how she got it and should warn other parents but they didn’t seem to be bothered by it and just said sorry but we haven’t had any other cases and I hope she feels better. I enjoyed them but kennel cough is a serious issue not just something to rub off
